Love the kids eat free Mondays! My son also got his balloon and face painted. The lady is super friendly and accommodating. The service at this place is not consistent. Some staff members are extremely helpful, but some others are okay.

We recently hosted our daughter's first birthday party at Park Wayne Diner, and it was truly an amazing experience! The back room was perfect for our celebration!! It was spacious, clean, and comfortable for all of our guests. Not to mention how beautifully they set it up for us. The entire staff went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. They were so attentive, friendly, and incredibly accommodating, which made the day completely stress-free for us. The food was absolutely delicious, and our guests couldn't stop complimenting it! We also wanted to mention Moody, who was absolutely wonderful. He was so kind, helpful, and accommodating, and we really appreciated his positive energy and willingness to help with anything we needed. They made our baby girl's special day feel even more special, and we're so grateful. Highly recommend for any event or even just a great meal. We are always here, and the staff treats you as family. Love the vibes here

Food was great, large portions easily to split. We got the Mexicali omelette with home fries with bacon on the side. They were decorated nicely for Christmas which was a nice added touch. Ambience and service were great as well. Nice local diner.

Love this diner!! My favorite diner in town!! These tacos were so yummy and huge!! Everything here is so fresh and never disappoints. Highly recommend. Everyone who works here is also so accommodating and kind.

Every time I come here I'm greeted with a smile and like family. Everyone that works here is friendly and food is good!! And they just remodeled not so long ago!!!

It's diner food so it's not a fine dining situation. But the food was basic and good. Our waitress was a thing of beauty! She's probably been there forever. My brother and I were "Hon" the whole time. Classic!

    Newly renovated banquet room

We just hosted a baby shower in their newly renovated banquet room which is beautiful! The food was outstanding as always. The service was spot on. I can't praise them enough. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, or a special party I suggest them with confidence that you will enjoy.

Breakfast...French toast and sausage, served all day.

It's New Jersey and it's a diner. Is the food supposed to be incredible, no, it's culture...diner culture and it's a nuanced part of life in North Jersey. No diner is the same and different people go to different diners and at different times. That being said Park Wayne checks all the marks for a diner and what it should it be. Diners are a volume business, not a fine-dining experience. Service is acceptable here after multiple visits recently. There are good and bad things at Park Wayne. Good: Disco Fries, probably the best we had out of the 3 diners I went to. The gravy had the most flavor and best consistency. The cheese, is well delightful, but everyone uses the same cheese. Sandwiches, Ruben, good with real deli mustard. Not so good: diner service, it isn't anything to write home about and that is the standard. It would be a diner with over the top service. Coffee, never food, always average at best. Diners are a part of life in the Garden State, please embrace accordingly.

This was our second visit to this diner. I don't think I wrote a review the first time but here goes this one! Prepare to walk into holiday joy. The decor was beautiful and definitely puts you in the holiday spirit. Getting seated took a little bit as it was Sunday and very busy. However once we were seated everything was smooth. I liked that they sat us towards the back because we do have a toddler that can get restless so the extra space between tables was appreciated. Our waitress, Jeniffer was amazing. She was super nice and even offered coloring materials for our son which she informed us she actually purchased herself because of customers with kids. She was very attentive and made sure she knew exactly what we wanted. Coffee was decent. The food was absolutely delicious. All of us enjoyed it and we got the value for our money paid. They were able to add peppers and onions to the home fries which made them tasty. Home fries could've been less burnt in my opinion. The omelette was generously made and definitely the definition of meat lovers. I also added jalapeños which made it even better. Fiancé enjoyed the pancakes so much he had to take the other items home. Daughter loved her boneless wings. Son loved his plain toast with butter. Overall a great experience and would definitely come back.

Breakfast, eggs over light, bacon, hash browns. Eggs Benedict, home fries, fruit cup.

Great service, Peggy, Moe,and Chris great servers.Nice atmosphere. We go there at least 8 times a month.

It was very clean, with music perfectly paired to the already present atmosphere. The staff were some of the friendliest staff I've ever encountered. They all greeted us with a warm smile. We started off with two Chai Lattes: one with whole milk and one with almond milk. The presentation of these lattes was top tier; definitely worth the minor wait. They also tasted even better than they looked. For our brunch, we had gotten some chips and guacamole to start. For our entrees we shared a couple of plates: the body builder omelette with hash browns and a side of white toast, a side of beef sausage, and the French Toast (topped with Pineapple chutney with vanilla glaze and strawberries) with scrambled eggs, cheese and bacon. All of the food was presented beautifully and tasted even better, just like the Chai Latte. The portions were large considering the affordable cost, and it all came out in a timely manner. Aside from the atmosphere and food, the one thing that stood out here was the customer service. Our waiter (I think his name is Wil) was very accommodating and helpful. We had an issue with their machine when trying to pay and Wil handled it quickly and professionally. Even if we didn't have that issue, the entire customer experience was great, and you could tell from the faces of the other tables that they shared our experience. For all that, they get a well deserved 5/5. I would highly recommend checking out the West Side Diner if you want to try out a cozy breakfast/brunch spot that won't break the bank.

Place gets packed despite the many tables. Service was amazing, food was great (slightly higher prices than others, but the quality execution and quantity balanced it out). We had cornbread (very good), fries (was fine), chicken parm with pasta (we asked for vodka sauce which they accommodated for small charge), fried chicken (must have), churrasco steak breakfast and turkey club. No false notes that we could tell. Some standouts were mashed potatoes (really good), cornbread (toasted and slight sweet, with strawberry butter which was wild), whole wheat bread toasted (it was good I tell you) and fried chicken (it will haunt me in my hungry moments). Didn't think a diner would impact me as much, but they over delivered. Go, but make a reservation unless you want to wait.

READ FULL REVIEW!!!…read more March 2026: First time at this establishment was just ok. Hosted a very small get-together here (5 guest). Atmosphere was nice. Music was wayy too loud to hear the person you're sitting next to. Food was tasty and fresh. Coffee was good with great creamer selection (at the time). Our server was my least favorite part of this experience. He was over the top with his energy and upscale tactics (pushy with getting us to order extra drinks and appetizers despite declining). I was hosting this event and did not need him selling us after already being told "no, thank you" twice. It was awkward and ultimately changed the vibe. He hardly checked on us after that encounter and we constantly had to remind them about request that were never brought out to the table. Staff needs to be trained better. This was just an ok experience. April 2026 : What ultimately lead me to write this review was my 2nd experience at this diner. The server was a lot better than our first experience, but we did run into a few too many problems. First, we ordered coffee and are informed that per managements request, we can only have half-half or cream with our coffee. Previously they had French vanilla creamers and other flavored creamers but I guess management decided to save on the additional cost. This was a bummer especially realizing that they could easily afford creamers. This restaurant easily pulls at least $150,000 per week in revenue, so I didn't understand cheapening out like that. I still ordered the coffee. When it came to the table I added the cream into the cup only to find something floating in the coffee. I send it back and ask for a new cup, which the server politely provided. We order our meals and all goes well. Eventually two of the three meals come out and we wait for the final plate to come out. It's common courtesy to wait for everyone to have their meal before eating, so we wait. We wait about 6-7 minutes and the final plate comes out only for it to be cold. All of us ordered breakfast, so you can imagine trying to eat cold egg, potato, and sausage. We ask for the waiter, but before he could get to us the manager passes by and we let him know the issue. He takes the plate to the back and about two minutes later he comes back with the same exact plate. Before the manager arrived to take the plate away, I saw the guest split the egg half and add black pepper on everything so we knew it was the same plate and food she started eating off of that was reheated onto the kitchen grill where other food is being prepared for guest. The manager informs us that he had the chef heat the food up on the griddle and that it should be a perfect temperature. We refuse to accept the plate because it was reheated and not remade entirely. We were shocked that this was the solution even being offered. Reheating food on the griddle seemed unsafe (contamination risk, diseases, illness, etc) and offensive. No one pays these prices to have reheated breakfast served to them. I could've just made that at home for a fraction of the price. We politely refuse the reheated plate and he apologized and took the plate to the back. The server comes over to see what the issue is and we explain everything. He says that he will look into it and take that meal off the bill. Now I'm frustrated because one out of the three of us aren't eating anything and the experience was off. At this point, I'm not eating my meal but the 3rd guest is eating. So the guest who sent their plate back and myself are waiting for the 3rd guest to finish their pancakes. He ordered a stack of 4-5 chocolate chip pancakes and was happily eating away at layer by layer. Eventually he gets to the last 2 pancakes and before he adds syrup he notices what appeared to be an eyelash or short piece of hair imbedded in the pancake. Picture of the clearly imbedded hair included with this review. He immediately stopped eating and looks sick. He had already eaten 3-4 pancakes by then and the idea that he ate more of whatever that was felt unnerving, to say the least. We both start looking to see what he's looking at and long behold the hair was there. At this point we are extremely frustrated and completely over this experience. Management did not make this experience right even after addressing all of these issues both separately and together. I felt like my money was not valued and my business certainly wasn't. They did nothing to remedy these issues and I will NOT be going back to this establishment. This restaurant may look visually beautiful but the service is not. Staff needs more training, music needs to be turned down, chefs need to wear hairnets and everyone needs to follow safe food handling skills. You're putting your guest and your business at risk ignoring these issues. I really really wish I had a better experience.
