Had a burger craving for dinner and had read some great things about Yella's. We had placed an order online and saw they had a family bundle. We had ordered the burger and chicken combo. We had an option of selecting 4 burger or chicken sandwiches with 4 side options all for about $41-which was not too bad at all! We had ordered 2 burgers and 2 chicken sandwiches and then chose 2 orders of fries, sweet potato fries, and onion rings. Food was ready on time and was freshly made and ready on time. Had take out from here today (Hawthorne location) and it was pretty good. The burger my son had was the the (double) Yella Burger, he said it was a bit small but the taste was really good, he liked the seasoning, the cheese ,the sauce the whole thing just said it was a small. My husband and I split The Rochester (Roast Beef with Cheddar Cheese and horseradish sauce on a long roll. Ok so I ordered this plain no LTOV and the Roast Beef was nice and soft it had one piece of Cheddar Cheese and basically no sauce (I asked for extra just in case and definitely needed it.) It definitely needed an extra piece of cheese to make it excellent. We also had onion rings, excellent except again a very small portion. Hubby had the Loaded Fries and that was a nice size portion and he liked it. Both my son & I had a milk shake ~ very good but a bit thin. Overall for the price I think they should make the portions a bit bigger, my hero should have had more cheese and sauce, the shakes a bit thicker, inside was very nice and clean and the workers were very nice. Ordered for lunch with some coworkers and was very impressed by Yella's. They have house made potato chips which were very good. Crisp, fresh, and perfectly seasoned. A definite necessary for lunch. The jersey smash was delicious, fresh meat, with the pepper amount of cheese and bacon. The chicken bacon ranch was perfectly seasoned chicken cooked to the right amount of juicy. The bacon and cheese were great, the ranch was the just right amount. I don't like potato bread so they had the option for lettuce buns. They did not disappoint a ton of fresh crisp lettuce perfectly engulfing the sandwich. We ordered via doordash so I cannot comment on the ambiance or service. read more

The sandwiches I have ordered here are excellent, except today was a different day, it was almost inedible. I put this order through GrubHub, so it is a third-party order, this makes a difference because you don't know where your sandwich is coming from actually. What I want to say is this, when I called the the shop Goffle Road I spoke to the manager who explained this to me, I was hoping that they would offer me a refund or send out another sandwich right away, but since it went through a third-party I had to take this up with GrubHub, it was a $16 sandwich $3 tip, and I live on Lafayette Avenue right around the corner. The manager not only offered me a $25 gift card, and apologized, But GrubHub refunded me my total bill, of $19.06 ... I understand that things happen, I don't know about you? This place is overrated in its score. We went here after an afternoon at Goffle Farms. Its local and had a misleading great review on Yelp. Ambiance and service was fine, as was the food. But "fine" at $30+ is not a 4 star, sorry. I had the eggplant Milanese (where cheese was forgotten), and eggplant was way over fried. Couldn't finish it. Chicken sandwiches were cooked, but nothing exceptional. Similar to the fries. It will be a never return for us, and not recommended. read more

My buddy STRONGLY recommended this newly opened sandwich / milk shake shop. As we walked in, the owner noticed me taking pictures, so we began to talking. I asked for the most popular item there and he recommended the Benny Brown which was a steak sandwich with a combination of sirloin and ribeye, caramelized onions, fresh mozz and gravy. It was absolutely out of this world. The steak was tender and flavourful. Not too much gravy but enough to moisten everything. Onions have a nice kick and the mozz satisfied the salt crave we all have. My buddy got the Buffalo Chicken sandwich. He said it was very good but the chicken could've been bigger.. But this review is based on my personal experience. We also got an order of onion rings and fresh cut fries and both were excellent. In a previous visit, my buddy got the milkshakes with his son, so I'm including pictures of those as a reference. Place was very clean and service was on point. This place was pretty fantastic. Walking into the establishment and it's like a blast from the past, retro vibes from all of the decor inside & the pictures. I thoroughly enjoyed how the whole place was set up. The staff were friendly as well. For our meals, everything was purchased separately but it was totally worth the purchase. The burger was cooked well and I finished it rather quickly. The waffle fries and onion rings were great. First of all! We found this place by accident and I am SO glad we did. The inside decor is so cute!!! Im obsessed with the green ship lap specifically but everything works so well together. We were in such a time crunch and they made our food in under 10 minutes! The food was really really good, AND bonus- they have their own soda! I should've known better.. the town the people I should've known the chicken was gonna be unseasoned and I got the Nashville hot chicken sandwich the only thing I tasted was heat and it wasn't that spicy how does hot sauce have no flavor !!! I wasn't sure of stuff and they came off rude. We ordered a special shake. It was yummy but a little pricey. I ordered a cheeseburger it wasn't anything special. The fries were nice. We had it to go they staple the bag. I wanted to check if everything was in there. The employee was rude. I had asked a question about the attitude. I said I wouldn't return due to the attitude. I got a pastrami sandwich that had coleslaw, Russian dress, and swiss on rye. Pretty good, a little messy/soggy, but flavor was solid and the pastrami was moist. It looked so beautiful and the music was extremely happy plus the restaurant was super clean. I got this milkshake called the strawberry shortcake milkshake it was cheap it costed $8.50 and I thought it was just a fancy name for strawberry but when I got it you wont believe what was on it! I ordered the Yella burger medium and when I did the order taker kind of stared at me as if she's never gotten a request for a specific temperature. My feelings were unfortunatly correct, the burger served to me was looked great, but alas, it was room temperature inside and as mushy as raw meat can get. It was raining outside so when I walked in I dried my feet and then stopped off the carpet and almost fell. There was no one in there so all the people working saw. No one asked if I was ok but one lady did say, in Spanish, "well because she didn't wipe her shoes, what did she expect". She definitely didn't think we spoke Spanish. I answered "I did wipe my feet but the floor is clearly slippery but I'm ok." Some of her coworkers laughed as it was clearly a surprise to her that we answered. The manager came out at some point and asked how our meal was and was a lot nicer in general. Food was ok. Not great not bad.
