i asked for an almond shaped french tip. white, classic nothing crazy. i wanted to treat myself after a stressful day. i get a vodka cran and get paired with tracy. i explain to her what im looking for and proceed to drink my drink. it's a very basic and clear request. she then pressures me into changing the tip color to yellow, and offers me a choice on the nail base color. i've had a set done before with a clear base and loved it, and she showed me the pink one first. I didn't love the pink so we changed that part. somehow i leave with a longer, bumpier nail, and not an even curve with a weird yellow color. i'm not one to hate on technicians, and especially not one to complain after a service. i had the courage to call for a refund, but because i left "satisfied", they are only offering to change the set in person. no refund. now im uncomfortable. anyways take a look. also why would u up charge for an almond shape ?? wasn't even super long to upcharge for that. also that drink had at least three shots in it sooooo maybe that's why i didn't say anything read more

I called and was able to get an appointment within the hour with Theresa. I must say, coming from Cali I was a bit hesitant to get a mani so I went in with little expectations ... and I'm embarrassed to say that THERESA did not disappoint. I posted a rave review about this place on Google I believe. Maybe about a month or so ago. However, I got a manicure yesterday and it was not worth the 75+ tip I spent on it. I got a manicure and dip with chrome on it. They gave me a young man who honestly seemed like he didn't really know what he was doing. I feel for the guy but the same time $75 is not cheap for me and it's something that I save up for so I'm pretty disappointed with how it looks. He spent a good three minutes at one point scrubbing the dip off of his fingers, during him trying to finish my nails. And he kept checking his phone every time he saw a notification. I'm usually not a Karen, but the amount of money that I spent it was not worth it. I don't think I'll be coming back unfortunately. read more

Today was the 2nd time I went to this salon. I came for an acrylic fill. The nail technician was going too hard on my nail bed with the drill. Then she applied way too much product , too much liquid with the acrylic powder. Once she was done it looked horrible, as if it was melting, and she applied the product way over the nail bed to the point that she covered my cuticles. After I mentioned it, she said she wasn't done and would fix it. She then proceeded to file my nails and clean the cuticle area with a smaller drill. She cut 2 of my fingers/ on each hand, she cut around the cuticle area while doing this, and filed my thumb nails wayyy to hard to the point that it almost looks raw ok the edges. I had to come home and apply Neosporin on my fingers. I am not one to complain about my nails ever, so I didn't say anything. At that point I wanted to avoid the possibility of her being rude. It just looked like she just wanted to get it done , she barely talked . Not coming back. read more

My fiancé and I came for some "pampering" and though they were busy, we were taken back immediately. He was getting a manicure and I was getting dip powder. Unfortunately they had to seat us in the pedicure chairs as nothing else was available. I have found that any time a salon has done this (or doubles up services this way) a manicure is not as good. My technician was friendly and very gentle with her touch. She was able to get me exactly what I was looking for with the shape and color of my nails. Unfortunately even when freshly finished, my nails looked at least a week grown out. I can tell from photo reviews that this is not uncommon for them, just disappointing. Otherwise my fiancé enjoyed his manicure, as he works with his hands a lot and it had them feeling fresh and rejuvenated. read more

We made a reservation for four for pedicures but we ended up separated because they didn't keep four together. :( it was ok but It would have been nice to sit with each other. This us the 3rd nail salon I've tried since I moved to the area 5 weeks ago. I'm very particular about the nail shape and length I like, and I (once again) was very specific about wanting to work with a nail tech who was exceptional with shaping. I asked for a recommendation about who I should book with, but was told they weren't allowed to recommend a tech. When I showed up for my appointment I once again stressed that I wanted to work with someone who would listen to what I wanted. They put me with someone who either didn't speak much English or wasn't interested in what I was trying to say, so needless to say my nails were messed up again (over-filed, misshaped, nails all different lengths, and missing dip powder on a couple of the nails) and I left another salon frustrated and upset. Is there one salon in the HEB area where the nail techs will actually listen to what the customer wants? I didn't think it would be so difficult to find a good nail salon in the area. read more

I came in for a pedi on Saturday afternoon, and decided to add on a new acrylic set last min. The pedi was great. I had Henry as the tech and he was so friendly and welcoming. Zero flaws with the pedicure and I would probably come back for that alone. However, the tech that did my acrylic fell short of expectations (Ann is her name I believe). When cutting down the tip, she asked if the length was ok. I normally wear my nails shorter but I didn't press her to cut them shorter. I was surprised when she charged me an extra $5 for "long nails" and another $5 for almond shape because the charges were not clear and length and shape were recommended her. She also applied the acrylic quickly and sloppily, leaving the nails uneven, chunky, and full of air bubbles. I tried to explain to girl at the front desk that the nails were not up to par, she ignored my complaint and told me to have a great weekend. read more

I've been frequenting this nail salon for over a year. It is always so clean and comfortable. One of the owners seems to always be present , which makes for a nice experience every time. My normal technique is on maternity leave so I went to a different one this evening. John was Great! He took the time to show me samples of the nail products and colors that I requested on disposable tips so that I could see an accurate depiction of what my nails would look like with my skin tone. This worked out perfectly because the color that I had originally chosen was off a couple of shades. His work was a little longer than some other times, but the finished product was so worth the extra 15 minutes. He also provides his own lotion for his guests and I have to say, it is better than the general lotion they typically use. Not that it's bad, but his feels so buttery and smells great. My 16 yr old son even commented on how good I smelt. I will definitely be using Park Village Nails and John again. read more

I've tried giving this salon the benefit of the doubt because they shape your nails really good however, each time I come my dip powder always chips within five days causing my nails to break off. I've gone to other nail salons and had no problem. Even the pedicure polish chips & my pedicures never chip. The technique they use for dipping powder needs improvement. There's no way my nails should chip at all and certainly not within a week. read more

This nail salon is ok. I came here for a manicure for my friends birthday. We had a reservation, so we were taken in pretty quickly. It is hard to park in this area because it is a big plaza, so keep that in mind. The Manicure I got was dip with tips on. The bill came out to around 60, which I thought was a little pricy. My friend got a regular polish pedicure and a gel manicure and her bill was 98 dollars! Not even gel on her toes, just regular polish. All in all it was a fine experience. The place is clean and they had complementary drinks. I had a diet coke. The restrooms are clean and everything seems pretty well sanitized. The only issue really is the prices and the fact that the shape of my nails is kind of weird. The staff is really nice though. The front desk woman was very sweet & helpful as this was my first time here. The salon is huge and nice! When I sat in the chair to get my nails done, my nail tech was super sweet. I didn't get her name, but she definitely took her time on my nails. Before putting the color on, I had a different color picked out and I'm glad she let me see it before putting it on my nails because I actually didn't like it. The next color I chose was the opi-8. I'm a light pink / nude kind of girl and this color was perfect for me. She filed my nails in the perfect shape and took her time with my manicure. I don't know anyone in the area so of course I used Yelp to find a good rec and it did not fail me. This was one of the top rated salons near me and they also have a lot of restaurants and stores within a walkable distance (which was perfect for me because I don't have my car with me so i was able to run errands after I got my nails done... love the super target). I went with a friend and we didn't make appointments ahead of time however, we were immediately taken to a chair and asked if we wanted any complimentary drinks (& they had a lot of options!!) They had several display racks of dip powder colors which i love and hate because i'm so indecisive. In the end I went with a neutral pink and almond shape which I was very satisfied with. The second time, I had Cindy (by a friend's referral), and she did a great job as well. The place is very clean, and has a great lay out. I used to frequent Park Village until I moved & recommended to everyone because of how great their staff is and selection of colors. I came back into town for a wedding, and got a dip manicure and regular pedicure on 3/19. Not even 24 hours later, the gel polish that was applied over my dip has chipped off and is warping on several nails...I paid $100+ for both my mani and pedi and am extremely dissatisfied with the quality of products used if my nails are already ruined. The service with the nail techs and front desk (addison) were great as always, but management needs work. I live over 3 hours away and am not expecting a refund, but some sort of credit to be applied the next time I was in town-- but that was denied by the male manager. For the amount of money I paid, I expect it to last for more than one day and won't be returning to Park Village in the future. read more
