Odd that their "newest review" prior to this one was 9 months ago. I just left there and came home to remove my nail polish. It was a very poor job. I can't seem to find a decent nail salon since moving here a few months ago. I was a walk in as it was close to where I live. I picked the Lavender pedicure. It's $45. That portion was great. The tech, who's name it didn't catch, wore glasses and has an orange shirt on. I loved her, she did I great job and did not rush. I have regular nails. I usually do dip or gel polish but am giving my nails a break. So regular manicure. As a surprise by me, I was passed off by the tech to another tech. This is where it went bad. I wasn't asked to move to a manicure table, I stayed at the same pedicure chair for the manicure. The back of the pedi chair massages but the bottom is kinda concave and not comfortable to sit for an extended length of time. Is this normal here in Texas ? I have never had this in other states . Sitting in the same chair for 2 hours with your feet on the perch is not comfortable So without decent light (since I'm still sitting in a pedicure chair), she is cutting my cuticles and I had to stop her at one point as she was little too aggressive with that. My left thumb cuticle was cut super short - it didn't bleed but the area was stinging badly. I told her it was stinging and she sprayed alcohol on it .. twice! The polish was kinda glopped on. Not precise. I guess that's what happens when you are not at a level table with a good light. I was told not verbatim since I didn't have fake nails, i don't get to sit at a table. Oh ! Go to know....my $75 mani and pedi didn't rate sitting in a comfortable chair with a level table with a light so the tech can see what she's doing . I give this place 0 stars! My review in short--Do NOT go here! My friend and I went and they RUNIED our nails! I have very long strong good natural nails and only wanted them painted. They shaped them pointy and grinded my nails down making deep groves and ridges, ruined the surface, caused them to crack, chip layers, and break off every single nail. The paint job was horrible. Putting multiple layers on very quickly not drying in between and was an old thick gummy polish and 2 days after painted, were still smudging. I took the polish off after 3 days and my nails were yellowed! My friend's nails were just as bad. They cut her toenails in the quick and messed up her gel nails. I used to have to cut my nails twice a week they grew so fast and now it's been 4 weeks and they're not growing anymore they're so damaged! There are SO many nail places around this area, why pay so much here and have your nails ruined!! Just do not go here!!! Also I wanted to mention that when she pulled the container of nail tools out of the drawer they were all dirty!! That was an alarming flag as well! yuck! The employee, Lynn, finished it in 20 mins and took me to nail station. Only reason I give this place 2 stars because Crystal and the lady who sits next to her are the only ones who seem to do a great job and give great customer service. Just left from getting my nails done and the last time I checked if they are my nails I should be able to get what I want. The lady who ended up doing my nails act like she didn't understand what I wanted and told me it wouldn't work like that. I only been doing the same style and nail color for the last two years, I think it works just fine. To make matters worse her attitude is what made me upset. I told her nevermind I'll pay for what I have done now and go somewhere else, she then got a bigger attitude then had the nerve to charge me the full price when she didn't even finish, on top of after I paid she then made me write in $5 on the tip part when I clearly put $0 because she said they took off 4 broken nails. Um I clearly could have taken them off and you didn't even finish and you want me to pay another $5. I told her fine but run my card again because I already wrote $0 in the tip part. She refused and made me write it and scribble out the part. Uh one that is fraud bc I didnt even initial it so it clearly looks like someone changed the tip. Came here because it was close to where I live. Everything was great until I started asking about prices. They don't have prices listed. The woman doing my nails said $27 for my nails. I didn't ask how much for my feet but when I was done she told me $70!! Said $35 for my feet and nails. I was asking her for a breakdown and it was very hard to understand her she could barely speak English, but she seemed irritated on her face as I was just trying to figure out why I was being charged so much. After I paid she just took my receipt and walked away not even saying thank you or have a nice day. I had a feeling I was being overcharged but I'm a nice person and I was also in a hurry to pick someone up. I read another post saying they overcharge and that's why they don't have prices listed. Wow makes sense. Well I will never be back so they lost out on a nice paying customer by their deceitful ways. I love this place and had the best pedicure for years. The staff is always courteous, friendly, professional and good at what they do. The spa is clean. I give 1 star based on my experience yesterday. The most senior woman running the place in the absence of the owner was very rude. My toes barley finished, hadn't even got to the light yet and she demanded payment while I was still sitting in my chair. This was really weird and had never happened before. Even her staff apologized for her as she ran my credit card. I don't think this would've happened had the owner been there. There were 4 other customers were still in the pedi chairs when I left. I hate to think this one experience is enough to keep me from going back, but there are at least 3 other nail spas within a mile from my home so I'll try one of those next. read more
