I always ask for Van. She is so sweet and does a great pedicure. She spends over an hour and my toenails always look great. I usually get the lavender or the milk and honey. She also does facials. I usually get one every 3 months. She does a great facial. She massages my arms while the mask is on. It's so relaxing. Van is the best! read more

Sad to say, but this place has gone way downhill since I was last here. I went in around 6:45 for a pedicure. The pedicure was $40, which I think is overpriced for what I received, but still, I paid it. HOWEVER, while I was getting my pedicure, they did the usual pushing and prodding of "eyebrow wax? Lip wax? Nails?" And I figured, well, why not?? It was the first time I've been totally without my kids since my daughter was born about two months ago, so I deserve a little extra splurge. I'm assuming the manager called over a girl who looked like she was leaving to come back to do an acrylic dip. She was clearly not happy, since quite a few of the other girls were leaving. As she started doing my nails, I noticed they looked gloppy, and uneven, and didn't even fill my nail completely. She tried using her electric file to smooth them out, but they were too far gone. They looked terrible. She called over the manager (?) And she tried to fix them, also to no avail. But as they were trying file them down, they cut my fingers quite a few times. At this point, we'd been there over an hour and a half fighting with these horrible nails, and after then cutting up my fingers, I said to just stop, take them off, it wasn't worth it. Then, after they start soaking them in the acetone, they used that filing tool again and filed completely through two of my nails. Needless to say, I was incredibly upset, and I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. The service was unacceptable and the quality of work nowhere near worth the price. This is not the first injury that I (Linda) have suffered from one of their techs. They are rough, carelessly filing tender skin while filing nails, and their leg massages could be dangerous to an older person! Callus removal feels llke they're done with a cheese grater. Cleaning under toenails is excruciating, with the instrument jabbed into my flesh and around ingrown toenails. Here's a photo of an abraision I received there yesterday (July 24, 2021), this made sleep impossible last night. I'm finished paying them to abuse me. Oh, and they always try to sell me a higher priced pedicure. Okay so I'd just like to start off with these nails are for my wedding. So with my feet the lady cut like 3 of my toes on my skin and my toes aren't even done right they just look sloppy. Then the girl that clipped my nails made my thumbs soo crooked and they aren't even almond shape I look like I have claws on and I showed them the picture like 4-5 times. My pinkie isn't even filled in on the side and when i said something she got all rude with me and just put more glitter on it ?? Also the whole time the lady kept pulling my hand and pushing it and everything and was just acting super rude. They also overcharged my mother in law paid 270 it was 150 for all of our feet and then they just got their nails painted which is like 20 bucks each so that's 190 and then my nails were 65 because I got fake ones and that's only 255 anyways I don't recommend this place. Just had the nicest pedicure for some times at D's. They did such a good job that I added 10 more minutes for foot massage. I know some people who go for meni and pedi here regularly and they have nothing to complain about. I personally love Tina's personality, even though I never had mani with her. She is wonderful. Horrible dip set. Decent pedicure set. But after asking multiple questions about the dip set, by the end of it the natalia blamed me for my nails being so short. NEVER wasting my money here again. Cut me 3 times and didn't have the decency to acknowledge the mistake and fixing it. Now i have to go somewhere else & spend more money because I refuse to let them make my nails worse. I have gone to this salon for years and have always been satisfied. The last time I went I noticed that the message chair I was in wasn't working properly. The pedicure was the same that I always get but this time the tech seemed very focused on the cuticle on my big toe. It was very painful and she continued after I asked her to stop. I am retired so manicures aren't really in the budget. In addition I am a gardener so most times there are barely nails to work with. With this summer being so hot, I haven't done much so I was able to grow ten good nails at the same time. I was so proud (I've chewed my nails most of my life) Yesterday I decide to treat myself to the first manicure I have had in two years. I went to D's because a friend goes there and I have no experience with nail techs in this area. I was assigned an older lady with too much makeup. Before I realized it she had cut off all but the tiniest part of my nails. She never asked me how I wanted them cut. The owner heard me telling her they were too short and replaced the tech with someone else. That woman picks up the clippers to cut more. I told her no so she puts that down and picks up the file making them shorter still. I told her twice that they were already filed and to stop but she just smiled and kept on filing. The owner came over to shush me since I got louder every time I asked her to stop. I spent the rest of the appointment fighting off tears of frustration and disappointment. I ended up with awful bubble gum pink "stubs" that I ruined with my quick exit from the place. I couldn't wait to remove it. The results can be seen in the attached picture. Honestly, how can any nail tech think that someone wants to call attention to such a pitiful hand of nails? And to be shushed for standing up for myself just made it worse. read more

When I lived in Hurst D's nails was my favorite place. Well not so sure now. I know live in Saginaw and drive all the way to get my nails done because they do a good job and have good prices. Well that ends today! This is the second time I have come in to get my nails done and no one greeted me or ask what I needed done. I wait for 20 minutes then left to another nail salon. Both times this happened the owner Kim was not there. They even ignored me and spoke to other customers as they came in, but you could tell they were regulars. Everyone should be treated the same, I was ready to spend good money to get ready for my daughter birthday. Oh well their loss. Loved my experience here! The salon has tons of polish colors to choose from with all different types of services. I got a dip powder manicure and they were very efficient and professional. I called and made an appointment and they were more than accommodating. Once I arrived, they were very friendly and they immediately got started. I ended up getting solar nails and a polish change on my toes. My MOH ended up getting a fill and they fixed a broken nail. I thought they did a wonderful job on my nails and the polish change, but my MOH's nails looked amazing! It was like night and day. Her nails looked better than the original set and you cannot even tell that they were filled! On top of the service, they are super quick! We were in and out within 45 mins!!! I've been going to this place for French manicure nails, they did ok, but the last time I was there, the gal who did my nails destroyed my real nails to remove the acrylic nails, which had grown out. When the new ones began coming off by themselves, they took a lot of my real nails with them. I'm waiting for the nail on my pinkie to grow out enough to go someplace else, that'll take awhile since most of it came off with the acrylic nail, leaving me with hardly any nail at all. Decided to get traditional polish this time and it was terrible! I kept having to point out jagged edges and the shape was inconsistent... Then she did a crappy job wth the polish AND the topcoat. First nail salon I've tried since I moved here and I'm pleased with the service I received. It was very busy when I showed up but didn't wait long until I was taken care of. I got a deluxe pedicure, eyebrow wax and full solar set. The price range is average. The pedicure was amazing and very relaxing. You can tell the building is fairly old but it's clean. I've been going to D's Nail Spa for the past four years but I fortunately I will be searching for another place. Although I been happy with everything up to just a few months ago, service has taken a turn for the worst. I discovered the wait time for walk-ins was getting progressively worse so I began making appointments. Over time the wait time for these became progressively longer with the last two times being asked to come back. Yesterday, I called to make an appointment for today and was told it would be Sunday at 4pm for just one service. That is more than 48 hours wait for a company who accommodates walk-ins. I've also noticed a lack of cleanliness increasing overtime....pedicure chairs not working....several clients needing to sit on pillows because of worn chairs...a large amount of white dust first thing in the morning. Overall, I would have to say that until a new owner steps in and does something to improve conditions, don't give your hard earned money to D's Nail Spa. read more
