So ... the drinks... the dinners .. all winners! Recommended by a friend and this recommendation is passed along if you're looking for a well made drink (in-house distilled vodka, gin, rye). I hade a Beehive and it's delicious, so is their rye. The roast chicken sandwich is smoky and juicy; hoagie worth a try, and 2 patty burger delicious. Try them out if you're in Banff. read more

Great staff. Great food. Would recommend to anybody. Did the drink flight, and found the clear Rye, and the pure Vodka to be the best. read more

Went here for my birthday, but left unimpressed. The fondue was OK. It lacked any flavor until our waitress added pepper. The fondue was served with raw cauliflower, day old toast, granny smith apples, cooked potatoes, and small pickles. I honestly just ate it because it was expensive. My boyfriend's salmon was fine, but my chicken was SO SALTY. I didn't even need to dip it into the extra salty gravy. I just ate some of the potatoes. Our waitress could tell I didn't like it, but instead of asking if I wanted a new dish, asked if we wanted dessert. I'd suggest only coming for drinks. read more

Great atmosphere and very friendly staff. We went for lunch and I had the vegan burger with a side of tomato vodka soup. The soup was absolutely amazing and next time I will have it as an entree. The paired bread was great as well. Beyond meat was used for the vegan burger and I enjoyed it. The bun was very hard though. read more

This place is fantastic! Everything from the campsite-inspired decor to the fancy cocktails to the build-your-own dinner was cute, thoughtful, and well done. I was able to make a reservation online about two hours before I wanted to eat and when my group and I got there 20 minutes early they already had a table set up right by the window for prime people-watching. I had a "backcountry tea" (house-distilled rye, lemon juice, mint, iced tea, simple syrup, bitters) but there was also a great selection of local beers and even several fancy (nonalcoholic) mocktails. For dinner my husband and I shared the rotisserie chicken paired with several sides: roasted cauliflower with golden raisins and other Mediterranean-inspired goodies, roasted carrots with cumin yogurt, creamy parmesan kale, and smashed potatoes. Everything was great -- and the carrots, recommended by our excellent server Cheryl, were a surprise hit! My in-laws both had the wedge salad which they said was fresh and delicious with a yummy dill vinaigrette. After dinner we shared some French press coffee from a local roaster which stayed hot forever and Cheryl gave us some tips on her favorite local hikes. Park Distillery is one of the best places to eat/drink in Banff. Came here for a beverage one night and tried their Alpine Dry Gin in a gin and tonic, this was excellent. Saw people get food and knew we had to come back. Our 2nd trip here there was about a 30 minute wait, got seated upstairs kind of near the kitchen area, a great vibe up here too. They make campfire style food and it is great. We started off with the House made cornbread with maple butter, this was fantastic. I had seen people get chicken the night before and this did not disappoint, got the quarter rotisserie chicken. The flavor was great and was very juicy, the campfire gravy was amazing. My side was mac and cheese, good too. My wife ordered the rotisserie chicken sandwich with fries. The sandwich was tasty, the fries came out cold. We asked for new ones and they brought us out some hot ones right away. The service here was excellent both times we were here, very friendly staff. I had wanted to bring back some gin with me, but didn't have the space in checked baggage, but they do sell their alcohol in the duty free shop in the Calgary airport, so picked up a bottle there. Overall this is probably one of the best restaurant choices in Banff. read more

Cute location, fun drinks, kid friendly, pleasant wait staff. One of our diners enjoyed the unique home-made corn dog. I enjoyed my salad, but would like to suggest they double the greens as it was not filling at all. read more

We tried all week to get into this place, luckily with reservations we finally got in and sat at the bar upstairs. Host and servers were incredible! So welcoming, friendly, attentive. We had our baby and toddler and the servers were so sweet to them. The drinks and food were the best we had in Banff! We had the shrimp tacos and quesadilla appetizers and ribs for dinner . read more

First time eating in Banff and stopped here. I had the brisket sandwich, and really liked it. My husband had the gourmet corn dog with a bowl of chowder. He really liked the chowder but the corn dog wasn't the best. Sounded better than it tasted. We both had drinks as well and enjoyed them. I had the hard root beer and it was very tasty if you like root beer. They are a distillery as well ad restaurant and you will find their liquors around town in other locations. read more

First night in Banff, we arrived and it was rainy so not much to do so we decided to try it out as many friends have recommended it. Started off right away with cocktails, I chose The Beehive (Park Vanilla Vodka, Elderflower Liqueur, Blueberry Mash, Lemon Juice & Honey) - AMAZING! I had like 5 through the whole night (it was a bit cold in Banff lol) we ordered a Housemade Cornbread with Maple Butter but ehhh it was whatever, expected more from it. (I'll stick to the Cornbread from The Iron Goat located in Canmore). As my entrée, I ordered a Bison Striploin with warm Potato Salad and Chimichurri. Perfectly grilled, not many places know how to grill. Finalize it with the Smoked S'more (Dark Chocolate Ganache, Marshmallow, Graham Blondie, Smoking Cedar) wow hands down it was delicious and not overly power on the sweetness which made it even more perfect! Definitely will be coming back especially for the distillery tour that are at 3 PM. read more

We went here for cocktails but all of the food we saw at the tables around us looked amazing. The gin is A+. The drinks were beyond amazing. Taylor was the best server/bartender we have ever encountered. He is so knowledgeable and mixes drinks like an all-star. We will come back to be served by him again! So entertaining and friendly! Park is a great spot for drinks and we can't wait to try the food next time. read more

I liked this spot! It was raining and we chose to sit out on the patio because it was crazy busy inside. They have radiant heaters which keep it bearable on cold days. Our waiter didn't really seem to have it all that together and service seemed a little slow. We got drinks and dessert. I liked the Maple Rye Whiskey (contains 30% maple syrup) so much I bought a bottle in the attached store. I found the store clerk to be a little gruff as well. The shortcomings of the staff don't appear to be hurting business though, it was hopping the whole time we were there. I appreciated the extra touches and the desire to push boundaries on the food. I think worth stopping by for sure. read more

Food and drinks as always outstanding. Had a small issue that our server Lauren took care of . Outstanding service!!! They went above and beyond. If in Banff make sure to stop here. Don't miss it! read more

I really wanted to order from Park Distery to my hotel room for my birthday. I got excited by the menu and especially the idea of the ready-mix cocktails. I was even prepared to go pick it up. But their website wouldn't let me complete the order because the IP address was from a hotel. After attempting three different workarounds I eventually just picked up the phone. Someone finally picked up on the second try (so now it's my fifth attempt at ordering). They told me they don't accept orders over the phone, only via their website ... which is not working for me. I could go into the restaurant, place an order, and WAIT, which kind of defeats the purpose. At that point, I might as well just go to the restaurant. Looks like I'm ordering Chinese food again tonight. Sigh. read more

I loved this place. The food was so good. The service was amazing. Our server was incredibly accommodating and welcoming. Although it seems a bit pricey, every place in banff is. I'd say this is the place with the best deal that is not a fast food place. The portions were massive, I wasn't able to finish my meal, I had leftovers to take home. The art and ambience was nice and cozy. We came here for dinner so we weren't able to make it to the distillery tours. *note distillery tours are at 3pm not sure if it's like this all the time but it's worth a look read more

We visited the Park Distillery during our mid-March ski week in Banff. We had a group of 10. They sat us upstairs the second floor at a large table. Basically a big picnic table with benches. They had drink specials on cocktails only for $9 ea. Gave us great excuse to sample the various distilled house liquors. The food was excellent and the service was good. the cornbread was tasty. A couple in our group had the Mess Hall standard which features ribs, chicken, wings, smokies, potato salad, coleslaw, pork & beans and cornbread. A lot of food. They had a $16 1/2 chicken special, so half the group ordered that. The Park Burger was nicely done. The Park Caesar with shrimp skewers was tasty. A good meal. Make reservations or get there before 7pm because this place is very popular. read more

Best dinner on our Banff trip! Must try! Shared the whole trout and Parmesan kale side! Also delicious was the cheese and charcuterie plate, and the wedge salad (not traditional). A little overrated were the corn bread and side of carrots. Great cocktail selection with homemade liquors. One the best Moscow mules I've ever had and of course served in a copper mug. read more

The waitress stated out grumpy and seemed annoyed to be serving us as I couldn't understand her with the masks. (Not her fault) food came out wrong not once but twice. My steak that was to be well done but was raw. My friends prime rib was only fat and food was cold. Waitress really came around afterward and tried to fix the mistakes but there was just to many! Not sure we will be back unless it's for burgers. Not what we expected for a nicer evening out read more

First off, let's start off with my disclaimer--if I could give this place 3.5 stars, I would, but I'm just rounding up. Overall, I'd say our experience here was pretty good, though. Here's the breakdown: FOOD: 3.5/5 I think it was pretty variable across the board, but still pretty good. I got the Surf and Turf sandwich, which truly tasted spectacular (but was extremely expensive--I'll get to prices later). My friend got the rotisserie chicken sandwich, but she mentioned that it was too oily to finish, so that's definitely not something you want to hear. Her little sister ordered a hamburger, and it was very basic--your typical patty and bun ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Our parents ordered calamari (this was VERY MEH--oily but not crispy), rotisserie chicken, and trout. The latter were pretty good. PRICE: 3/5 I get it; in a touristy part of Banff, you're going to see higher prices, but I actually found the prices SO OFF-PUTTING. This has two dollar signs on yelp, but almost everything is on the latter end of that. SERVICE: 5/5 Our server was really friendly, and he came back to check on us a lot. We got seated really quickly (albeit not on the patio :( ). We came around 6 on a Friday night and were seated on the second floor. If you want to try this place, go for it, but there are so many other restaurants in the area that are probably better. read more

Would of loved to try the place out but the were completely disgusting and rude before we even visited They finally sat us at a dirty table with food on it everywhere and when we tried to move Vicki I'm assuming a supervisor snapped at us and told us to go back to our table even though it was dirty and to wait for them to clean it read more

We were so excited to eat our first meal and Banff and had seen good reviews about this distillery! Unfortunately we were completely let down. The atmosphere and decoration are just absolutely hipster but the food was just terrible. My friends and I ordered the: - Mac & Cheese: The chicken on top was so dry and looked like chicken nuggets. The mac and cheese itself was so hard and tasteless :/. - BBQ Brisket Poutine: All the fries were so soaked in oil that they were completely soggy. It was disgusting. The brisket itself was just passable. I didn't even taste any gravy in the poutine. - Healthy Hikers Bowl: This was the only dish that was remotely okay. We had to have the dish remade though. The quinoa in it was supposed to be "puffed" but more looked as if they just dumped dried quinoa over the salad. After we had them take it out it tasted a lot better. If you're considering this place - just skip it. None of the food was worth it. read more

Quite a popular spot, has a very uppity vibe and is reasonably tough to get a table. We ordered the "Mess Hall Standard" campfire dinner, which is a sampling of the the best of what Park has to offer. The chicken, potato salad and ribs were very good but the coleslaw was absolutely horrible. Beans and arugula salad were pretty marginal too... Was an interesting experience but we wouldn't recommend it, way overpriced and there are plenty of better options in Banff. read more

Gin Tonic - superb. Worth a visit. Also worth noting is the drink with pineapple and jalapeño- it sounds gross but the waiter guaranteed it and it did not disappoint. One of the best and most interesting drinks I've ever had. Makes me want to go back to try their other specialty drinks... Kids menu - all 3 kids had kiddy cocktails, and none of them drank it. That's a first. (Maybe Park Tavern should stick to adult cocktails only. ;-) ) Food - surprisingly just ok. My husband was excited about the $25 burger but it was nothing special. The Brussels sprouts were supposed to be Spicy but they weren't. Everyone else in our party said the food was just ok. :-/ Vibe - kind of loud but nice dining experience. I'd go back (for the drinks only). They sell cool t-shirts. I wish I would have bought a bottle of their gin to take home. Next time! read more

Had lunch at the Park Distillery. Service was great. My wife and I shared the chicken sandwich and a salad. We also tried a couple of shots of their flavored vodka. I had the Chili Vodka and my wife had the Vanilla Vodka. Both were awesome (to get the most flavor from the Chili Vodka, I recommend holding in your mouth for 5 to 10 seconds before swallowing). Loved both shots so much we visited their gift shop on the way out and bought some to take home. read more

My wife and daughters went here for lunch Food was good but very very unpleasant experience. I asked when the food is coming out, and the male server(tall guy- early 30s) said. Very rudely, said "They have to cook it!!!!!!". I left no tip for this kind of service. And this practically ruined my last day of trip here in Banff and Jasper. Unless I read the reviews saying this place has been open less than 4 weeks, I'd never have known. That's the biggest compliment I can give. The service was fantastic, the beer selection was varied and all Canadian, the food was proper gastropub food, and thanks to Mark D. suggesting the mesquite beef hoagie, I agree, I'd get it again next time it was so good. Not to be outdone were the fries and the accompanying sauce which was out of this world. There are a lot of eating options in Banff, but this one stuck out to me as "my kind of place" and I was not disappointed. I got some good suggestions from the bar tender, and though the food was a bit slow to come out, it was a high lunch rush so...it's understandable. I really like the decor, the distillery equipment (which I was told would be fired up for the first time that night) and the openness both inside and out. Come here! read more

Have been here several times and depending on the time/reason I could rate this place between a 3-5+! Let me explain. First visit we stumbled upon this absolutely cool vibe and trendy distillery/restaurant that had a chic lodge and had drinks only, sitting upstairs and thought this is off the charts COOL! Five stars. So we came back on the next visit (but of course) for drinks and, sadly not at all impressed w the drink choices we had that time. I had the Boss and my fiancé had the fifi's mule. Both were pretty awful and undrinkable. We left full drinks and were a bit surprised that the waiter didn't ask if there was a problem w the drinks. 2-3 stars and only because the atmosphere makes it still a fun place! BUT because we knew it had likely been our drink choices we gave it another go the next time when my daughter was in town. That time we had apps too, our fav was the cornflake pulled pork fingers!! We also had the cornbread and calamari. Both fairly good. Drinks were amazing!! 3rd visit a 5 star visit Back again w my other daughter and this is a drink only visit. She didn't listen to me about the Boss drink and ordered it anyway! I am glad she did. It was so much better this go! I had the sawbuck and loved it too!! Another 5 star visit. Come give this place a go, you won't regret it! read more

I'll keep it simple: This place is bad ass. It's a very authentic place with great attention to detail in both the ambiance and the food. If I lived in Banff, I would reign as the Duke here. read more

My husband and I had our wedding reception here in September. Everything, I mean everything was phenomenal. So many of our guests still tell us how amazing the food, drink, and service was. The atmosphere in the guides room is incredible, because you have a private bar and a whole balcony to yourselves. Every bite of food was amazing, truly. The staff was incredibly kind and attentive. I wish I would remember their names, but the bar manager had been there since open, and the kitchen manager was a female maybe named Kim? I could be wrong on the name, but in any case I bet all the event staff is amazing. Would definitely recommend hosting an event here. read more

Worth the visit! Admittedly, anything with "gastropub," and "in-house distillery" is the start of any millennial's wet dream. But just wait till you try the food and drinks. The tasting flight of gin, rye whiskey, and vodkas is worth it. The Mystic Peak cocktail was a true pleasure -- I've never before had the garnish truly transform the experience of a cocktail before, but now, I get it -- it's not just decoration. It should never be just for show. A revelation! The meats were tender, well-seasoned, and hearty -- the chicken in particular and the prime rib. I only wish we could have choice with how the burger is cooked -- medium well is... medium okay. It was plenty flavorful and juicy, but that could be even better with the option to cook medium. I was disappointed with the corn bread. The maple rum butter it came with was uninspired -- where were those flavors?! And sadly the bread was a bit undercooked. I'm not being a snob -- the bottom of one piece was clearly mushy. But, I give the benefit of the doubt -- it was a busy night and there was clearly some miscommunication between kitchen and servers. Our appetizer bread came out moments before our main course, so there's room for improvement with running service. But hey, that means this place will only get better!! As out-of-towners, this was a pleasure and a delight. The decor (dark wood, flannel bench seats?! Edison light bulbs. Love it), the servers, and the conception behind the food and spirits is clearly there, more than making up for any hiccups on the line or running the dishes. We'll be back! read more

Loved the environment. Waitress acted frustrated with us for some reason. Food wasn't what we'd hoped. I ordered the brisket sandwich. We are from Texas so we definitely know what it's supposed to taste like. This was not good brisket. Too "artsy" for me. Green chili, oregano sauce? Just didn't go good.
