We wandered into this place on a whim and it was crazy busy. The hosts were super nice and offered to call us even moved around some tables to make space. The service was amazing all around. Our waiter didn't hover but was always there when we needed even filling my water for me. Everything we had was delicious. They make their own Vodka, Whiskey and Gin. We tried the Alpine Dry Gin and the Maple Rye. They were both fantastic. The Maple Rye was a gift to Canada for their 150th birthday it's Quebec maple syrup with Alberta rye. They said it's bringing the two sides together. Can you get anymore Canada then that? We had the hot wings and the smoked brie cheese appetizers. I would get both again. Will definitely be going back here. read more

The AAA sirloin is unreal. The sauce...the potato "salad"...everything is top notch. I only put quotes because the salad is literally whole baby potatoes and arugula. Their take on an old fashioned is pretty great too. Enjoy read more

Park Distillery is right in the heart of Banff and they have a great patio, both upstairs and street level. Our waitress was lovely and took great care of us. The cocktails were great, and the boozy flight was a great way to taste some of the spirits they make there. At our table we ordered the rotisserie chicken (x2), the rotisserie chicken sandwich, and two burgers and everyone in our party loved their food. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family. read more

Give me a gin and tonic in one hand and a spicy caesar in the other and call me a happy camper. My friend and I came to Park after a morning of errands and sat right at the bar. A gin and tonic for her and a Caesar for me. We had a taste of each other's drinks and I've got to hand it to you Park... you make some damn good gin. The vodka they used for my Caesar was a spicy chili flavour which added a nice little kick to my drink. I loved it! If you're not a fan of spice, sub that for their regular vodka. The space itself is pretty large. Plenty of tables, seats around the bar and an upstairs lounge. They've got a whole wall of various liquors behind the bar and cool, funky decor all around the restaurant, which makes for a cool atmosphere. We decided to order some grub - fish tacos for her and fish and chips for me. Our food came out fairly quickly, which we were thankful for, since we were getting pretty hungry. My dish came with one large piece of deep fried cod on a bed of crispy fries. There was tartar sauce and ketchup already on the side of my plate - didn't even have to ask! They also have a cute little shop that's attached to the restaurant that sells some brand t-shirts and outerwear, bottled vodka and gin, and other fun trinkets. I got myself a t-shirt as a souvenir. Beware: prices are a bit steep. I paid close to $40 for one t-shirt. Worth it, though. This is definitely a great spot to grab a bite, drink, or just hang out in Banff. I wish I had more time to do one of their distillery tours! Next time, though! read more

On our trip we stopped in to try the food. I shared the shrimp tostada with a friend and an hour later both of us were throwing up. It was really disappointing since we were trying to hike and were only in Banff for the day on our vacation. So just a word of caution, don't get the shrimp! read more

Nice place. Comfortable. Great food and service. Prices are in line with prices in Banff. We had a very nice meal and feel we got good value for our money. I'm certain we will come back next time we are in Banff. read more

Love the cabin vibes! Two stories with an upstairs patio and open air on both floors. Came for a light lunch before a hike but really wish I could've drank and eaten more here. Baked Brie is tasty. The veggie bowl is really good with the beet hummus and other mix of seeds and pickled veggies. Didn't love the falafel because they were tiny and a little soggy. The rotisserie chicken was good too. Juicy meat, though would've loved a crispier skin read more

Drinks were good but pretty weak. Food was good, nothing necessarily we would recommend or come back for.

Stopped in for a couple drinks. Was very busy but was able to get a seat at the upstairs bar. I tried the espresso vodka and the Georgetown brown. I thought both were really good. Plus your receipt got you 10 percent off in the liquor store down stairs. The environment is very cool, kind of old school mountain cabin feel which fits. Bartenders were helpful and available. Was a little pricey but most things in banff are. Would definitely go back as the food looked good and I wish I knew a way to find this distillery's liquor in Texas because it was very good. Will definitely return when we come back to banff. read more

It is a very crowded place but they accommodate people very well. We had to make a reservation and it did take 45 min to get a table but it was all worth it. Our waitress couldn't of been nicer and helpful. We had the pulled pork fingers (I think they were called) and all I can say is WOW!!!!! It was one the best things I've ever had. The ribs and chicken plate was very good also. If you are in Banff it's a place that will need to be on your must stop in list! read more

A cool modern space to meet up with friends for drinks! I was pleasantly surprised by this place, because it definitely feels like it could be situated in a major metropolitan city while being in the middle of a mountain town! It's centrally located in downtown Banff, and is a favorite place by locals and visitors alike. It's a distillery so they distill all their spirits on site. In fact, you can take an afternoon tour of the distillery to check out all the equipment and process related to distilling alcohol. They offer their own versions of clear spirits such as vodka, gin, rum, as well as darker ones like rye and bourbon. I had the Bankhead, which was a gin-based drink with hints of strawberry and mint. It was delicious, and served in a tall glass. Food was delicious to go along with drinks, we had charcuterie place, calamari and fried pork meatballs... they all go well with drinks and flavorful on their own as well! We met up with a Canadian friend from Calgary who has been to this place a few times. This was on the list of places to check out for Yelp Winter Break 2017, so there was also a check-in offer. Sweet! read more

1st night, food was really good and whiskey sour was fantastic!! They are really weird about how you are able to sit at the bar...two bar stools next to each other must be open, one person can not stand with you and wait for a seat to open. 2nd night, host was a bit of a jerk. Same situation as mentioned above but he was just not nice about it and made a rude comment about my husband. Ended up going to the upstairs rail seating facing the road and it took 30 minutes to get a drink. We paid as soon as the drink got there and left. read more

We didn't eat here, we were told to try out their gin as they distill it themselves and have an off license area adjacent to the bar. As a bit of a gin junkie I was really looking forward to the experience here, but was left feeling underwhelmed. We tried their house standard gin, as advised by the bartender who was friendly enough. I found the gin to be very overpowering on the botanicals, as if crafted by someone who knows what gin *should* taste like, but doesn't personally drink it. It was all forward taste and simply no back end notes, and I just feel that if that is their one draw card that they pride themselves on, as someone who has drunk gin all across England and Europe I wouldn't recommend serious gin drinkers bother with the experience. Other than their product itself the bar is nice, the ambience is great the service is great but alas I am left reigned to the fact that Banff is not a gin drinkers paradise just yet. read more

What kind of place has multiple open tables, tells your group of 4 to wait 40 minutes, and when you return the same tables are available. Then they ask you to go upstairs to sit at a "picnic table" that seats at least 16 people. On top of that they seat the group of 3 that walk in just ahead of you (and were told to wait), at a normal table, as you are walking upstairs. Needless to say we asked for a table with chairs that had backs....the horror. I know, you can't possibly seat my group of 4 people at a table on the main floor when you want to keep those tables open for.....other people. As we left, really annoyed, we said "Your seating practices will be posted on Yelp", because honestly our group read great reviews for this place and wanted to eat there. As we got to the sidewalk a hostess runs out to tell us they found a table we could sit at. Where was that table 5 minutes ago? Sorry, Park Distillery, we were dressed appropriately, had plenty of money to spend, and waited like you asked. I am going to process this as snobby hosts hoping for someone fitting a different aesthetic on the first floor. Not sure what that aesthetic is though, I mean we looked like everyone else in Banff I walked by. This experience made our dinner super late because we had to find a different restaurant in Banff to eat at...with another wait for a table. Thanks no thanks Park Distillery. read more

The food here is so so good. My boyfriend got the prime rib which typically isn't my favourite cut of steak but it was oh so good. The meat melted in my mouth and the flavour was so meaty and buttery at the same time. Just delicious. The roasted garlic elevated the flavour and I couldn't help but steal his garlic for my fries. I ordered the Bow River Trout as per our server's recommendation and it was both juicy and crispy. The celery remoulade really tied the entire dish together and made it perfectly balanced. Portion size was really good and I wasn't able to finish despite ordering the half trout rather than full (maybe because I also kept stealing my boyfriends rib eye). The creamed kale was alright, a little too soupy although it was my first time ever having creamed kale so can't really compare it to any others. I also had a gin and tonic which was fine. Overall this restaurant is very pricey but well worth it. The service was well above average and the atmosphere is wonderful. read more

After an adventurous day in the mountains, we wanted to relax with some drinks at the end of the night. If you sit on the 2nd floor, you can still see the mountains in the background which was especially pretty for sunset. The decor was modern and clean giving a pretty relaxing feel. What's cool about this place was having their own distillery and I am all about supporting locally. We tried several of their drinks which were all good! I am a picky drinker (not a fan of the alcoholic taste). I like the honey bee and one of their other punches. The other members in the group enjoyed their drinks as well so I don't think you can go wrong with picking something. As for the food, it was a little pricey but considering how it's Banff, it wasn't too crazy. The food was decent and went well with the drinks. Come check out this place if you're wanting good drinks! read more

This is a fancier bar atmosphere with really good pub food. The cornbread was GREAT. Being from the south, I actually DONT like cornbread. This is different and SO good. I also got the tomatoe vodka soup which had some spice to it, but was very pleasant. Finally, I got the burger as my main meal with fries. It's huge. Like, massive. You have been warned. All that to be said, at the end of a sì use pr active day, I had the cornbread, the soup and the entire burger. read more

Stumbled upon this place while walking around Banff, saw the good reviews, so we decided to eat here. It was a Tuesday night and it seemed pretty busy. My boyfriend and I probably got too excited and ordered too much food. The cornbread was sadly, a disappointment. I got the St. Louis Ribs-- really big portion. He got the prime rib which he enjoyed. The hot wings were too hot after a while. Service was pretty fast but the server was too serious, it wouldn't hurt to smile! read more

It was our last night in the Banff area. My dad wanted us to go somewhere cheap, but honestly the only truly cheap restaurants that I could find were fast food chains. Park Distillery, with a $$ rating, and a lot of good reviews seemed like a safe choice for dinner. Park Distillery is very on-trend. They have all of their wait staff dressed in these cute hipster outfits, there is a lot of restored wood in the restaurant, and they distill their own spirits, going along with the micro-brew trend of late. That said, my dad, sister and I had a nice time here! My dad got the pulled chicken sandwich and LOVED it! He is a very picky and opinionated person and would have made it abundantly clear if he had not enjoyed his meal, but he truly enjoyed this sandwich. I got the caprese salad, which was good, not great. The best part about the salad was the addition of spruce tips to the dressing. They had a nice acidic flavor that contrasted well with the cheese. We ordered the "s'more" for dessert. A waiter came to our table to light this small piece of wood underneath a graham base covered in ganache, and a layer of whipped marshmallow. The fire went out pretty quickly and the dessert was very mediocre, which was disappointing because our waitress said that it was her favorite dessert on the menu. Park Distillery is a place that I would probably come back to, but it did not blow me away. read more

We had dinner and drinks, a table of two. We ordered cocktails made from their house gin and rye whiskey - very nice! We had the corn bread appetizer, it wasn't anything to write home about. Seriously? A Chili Vodka? A Gin that doesn't taste like a christmas tree that's been soaked in the ocean? Sign me up! Park Distillery is situated between two of Banff's 3 hour lots, which makes the ability to snag a spot and stay a while undeniably easy. When you first walk in, you see a gift shop straight ahead. Of course, I didn't know this, and thought that might be the hostess who you needed to talk to in order to be seated. Nope, just talk to them if you want to be embarrassed. The decor is nice and rustic, and shining above all are their giant column stills behind a glass plate. There are "trees" behind the liquor wall and lanterns hanging low from the high ceilings. Very cool. I meandered in here on a Tuesday afternoon for lunch and found a seat at the bar where I was immediately taken care of. I ended up starting out with the spirit flight which included: Gin, Vodka, Vanilla Vodka, Espresso Vodka, Chile Vodka, and Rye. I especially enjoyed -- no, I enjoyed all of them. Excellent flavors, representations of the style, and quality ingredients. I was talked into ordering the Rotisserie Chicken Sandwich and I don't usually like BBQ chicken sandwiches, but this was on point. So good. I'm sure it gets busy here, but I was lucky to have very individualized attention at the day and time I came in, and it definitely rounded up everything to 5 stars. I *will* be back, Park! read more

Wonderful cocktails and food! Beautiful atmosphere. The chicken sandwhich was one of the best.

Great spot for a cocktail, or a tasting of all their liquors. We stopped in quickly for a drink, however all of the food on their menu and seeing it come out of the kitchen looked delicious. Definitely nothing special. But I think since this is located in a tourist area, all the restaurants are pretty much the same when it comes to food quality and price! We came here for dinner on a weekday and it was very busy! Our table was pretty much right beside another couple, it felt like we were eating with them. The food here was just okay. Nothing spectacular and not the worst food. It's pricy, but like I said everything in this area is like that. The service was still wonderful even with how busy it was here! Nothing particularly I would come back here for, but still an okay restaurant overall! read more

Great food, they had blankets and we beat the rush! We ate the prime rib and the salmon, both were delicious. Their horseradish seemed mild and almost pickled but it was a cool twist... I personally love the plain old burn your sinuses kinda radish but it was good. Prime rib was cooked medium rare and the salmon was also cooked well, not over cooked like most other restaurants. Our erver was great and my boyfriend loved that they were also a distillery. He got their signature drink and ended up buying the rye and the cedar block to take home with us. read more

Food was good.....we had the steak and it was good but not fabulous considering we are in Alberta. The side of brocollini was amazing. The best I've tasted. The rigatoni sauce was delicious but the mac n cheese side, poutine, corn bread was sub par. View on the balcony was phenomenal. The craft g n t is quite good. Btw, the host made it seem like he was pulling favors when he was seating us. Upstairs was half empty while he had people wait outside for a seat. read more

A lovely local restaurant. If you need a hearty meal that tastes wonderful...this is your place.

My husband and I frequented Park 3 times during our stay in Banff- 2 times for after ski drinks and 1 other time for dinner. All three experiences were great. A newish distillery with a large two storey restaurant space right on Banff Avenue, including a patio and upstairs outdoor overhang. We shared a tasting flight of their spirit offerings (6 half ounce pours for $20). We weren't big fans of the vodka or gin (made with juniper & local baths/spruce tips etc. but we only tasted juniper). The whiskey served is white (unaged), and has a real edge. A bit too harsh straight up, but probably mellows out in a cocktail or when aged in wood. Unfortunately they don't included the aged whiskey in the tasting because they are pretty new and have limited quantities of the woody whiskey. The cocktail menu looked decent, and the outdoor seating is nice, so I'd recommend that route to maximize your enjoyment. read more

One of my favourite places to eat in Banff. The place has an amazing listing of various craft beers from western Canada. And of course a number of great other choices if beer isn't your thing. The food is fantastic. The cornbread is delicious and has a maple rum butter with it. We also ordered the park burger and rotisserie chicken sandwich. Both were great.
