Came for lunch. The restaurant was pretty busy but we were able to get a table upstairs overlooking the downstairs bar. The vibe is casual and rustic, very comfortable. I wanted to try their spirits so I got the sampler. I'd recommend the plain vodka and the gin. Personally I did not enjoy the vanilla or the espresso, but I tend not to like strong flavored vodka. The chile vodka is VERY spicy. I don't think it's meant to be consumed on its own. It might be good mixed into a cocktail, but I wasn't willing to pay to find out. We decided to split the chicken and ribs platter plus a mac n cheese. The mac n cheese was served in a cast iron which was so promising, but while the friend chicken on top was craveable, the macaroni and cheese itself left a bit to be desired. The chicken was DELICIOUS. Seriously, get the rotisserie chicken. The ribs were good too and the platter came with delicious french fries and fresh undressed coleslaw. So tasty! It was a lot of food, you could definitely split that between 2 people and not get anything else. Service was excellent and super attentive throughout. Would definitely return. read more

Honestly great food and drinks, but such POOR service. Our server Angie G. argued with my friend that an espresso martini was not possible to make and was extremely rude and argumentative, and basically insinuated my friend was stupid for asking and saying she had had one here before. Angie then asked the bartender who said it was possible to make and she dropped the drink off without a word to my friend.. not even an apology. She then continues to check in on our table and only speak or acknowledge my boyfriend and I, and not even spare a glance at my friend. I'm actually appalled at the servers behaviour. A simple statement such as "my mistake, we can make this drink" would have change our entire outlook on our visit. I will come back to Park, but if I had this server again, I would asked to be seated with another server. read more

Disregard all the negative reviews ! You can't fix stupid and ignorance. With that said, everything about this place is awesome and meets all BBQ standards. The comments of the disgusting BBQ brisket poutine, asinine; it was packed with smokey, salty, gooey flavors and textures. Spot on! The mesquite sandwich was probably the best all around thing I ate during our stay in Banff. Accompanied by reduced drippings from the prime rib and requested house made BBQ sauce, the sandwich had me wowing repeatedly. The Cobb salad was a hit with my wife; dressed with house crafted ranch dressing, three different colored heirloom tomatoes , shaved cheddar, corn nuggets and smoked bacon. I hope I conveyed how good this place really is, and washed all the bad thoughts away that the bad reviews tainted your mind with. The décor pays homage to the deep homestead, campfire Alberta roots very well. They still their own spirits, displayed for you right in the middle of the dining area. Oh, and it's a bar, so don't go here if you expected to read a book with your smokey meats, that's foolish. read more

Loved it. Great scene. Great ambience. Great staff. We sat upstairs on the rail and thought that was a solid spot. I had the ribs and my wife the chicken dish. All good. Mixed cocktails are a must at this place. casual. read more

Food was tasty, we had a sandwich and a falafel bowl as well as two desserts. All of it was well made and spiced. The vibe and decor was cute and they have a short free distillery tour at 330 if you're there around that time. Unfortunately I wasn't a fan of the drinks. We got the g&t and Moscow mule with their house liquors and weren't impressed. It was a bit disappointing as one of the draws is their distillery. read more

Great drinks and atmosphere here. Observatory cocktail is their most popular, which is pretty tasty. Also got the pulled pork fingers for quick bite before our reservation at different restaurant. Food seems a bit pricey for what it is. read more

Amazing culinary experience in Banff, who knew!?! The service was super friendly, helpful, and tentative. Had to try a cocktail made from their distillery liquor, I didn't want my drinks to end they were delightful. I had the trout which was flavored beautifully, and the side of arugula and potatoes are a must (coming from someone that's not a huge potato fan). If you come to Banff, you must go here! read more

The Park Distillery was such a great choice for dinner. The vibes inside are extremely social and cool, and the entire restaurant was full when we came for dinner at 7:30pm (I would recommend making a reservation!). We shared the cornbread for the table (a little forgettable), but then split the roasted vegetable salad and tin foil trout, which were both amazing! The vegetable salad has the most delicious dressing with balsamic and cherries, and the brussel sprouts were perfection. The tin foil trout was perfectly cooked and reminded me a lot of salmon. The service was great, and the drinks were also delicious. read more

Definitely a must-go for when you're in Banff! The prime rib is delicious and cooked to perfection, their chowder with locally-sourced fish is great, and being a distillery their drinks are all superb. What really stood out here aside from the great food was the service - Chris took care of us for dinner on a Sunday night and he was on the ball at all times and went above and beyond in telling us insider tips for town. I'd go as far as saying that this was the best service I've received at a restaurant in the last five years. The ambiance here was definitely trendier but still casual, and there was plenty of space for my group of six. 10/10 - I'll definitely be back. Tyson was the best bartender ever. Staff is very attentive. Good pub food. Would highly recommend!

We loved this place so much while visited Banff! Being in the heart of downtown, we were worried about a wait for dinner and it looked very busy, but we got seated right away. Despite it being busy, our food came out timely. The menu looked so good, we had a hard time deciding which to try. We opted for the poutine, which was okay, and the salmon, which was absolutely excellent. Our server was also excellent! If I were ever to come back to Banff, I'd definitely come back. We actually recommended it to a few friends that are going in the next few weeks. read more

Probably one of the best restaurants in Downtown Banff! When we're vacationing, we search far and wide for good food, and in Banff it was pretty tough. Park Distillery was what we were looking for! It was so good, we came back twice during our 8-day stay, and recommended it to our colleagues (who were also traveling with us). On our two trips, we ordered: - Quarter chicken with a side of mac & cheese - Prime rib and fries - Caesar salad - Bankhead - Cascade - Trout - Sawback - Chicken sandwich - Park Burger Everything was amazing! Cooked well, flavored well, and very delicious! I love that they make their own liquor - you can definitely tell and taste the difference when you compare it to your store bought liquor. YUM! The portions are HUGE, and more than enough for one person. The trout was HUGE, and the left overs were dinner for another night. The only thing I probably wouldn't order again is the chicken sandwich. It was a little dry and just okay. The mac & cheese and the chicken were memorable - I loved their gravy...it just added to the dish. A few tips: make sure to make a reservation, it gets crowded! It gets pretty loud, because this restaurant is pretty happenin' with the younger Banff crowded. I mean, they make their own liquor...I can understand why. It's all worth it, but this isn't a restaurant to take young children or if you're looking for a quiet date night. My only regret? We didn't use our 10% discount from eating at the restaurant to buy their gin! And, we didn't go on their distillery tour. Next time! read more

Didn't have to wait at all, got to sit on the patio upstairs, and our food and drinks arrived within 10 minutes of ordering. Park Bowl was delicious and quite large, so I had enough to package up and eat for lunch the next day. Bankhead cocktail was a tad sweeter than I envisioned but was still delicious, and obviously made with their house distilled gin. Come here!! read more

They had been open for only six days when we went! The owners who run some other restaurants in Banff just opened Park, and it is such a cool-looking place. Sophisticated, rustic, quirky, well-designed, and popular for sure, with both floors packed on a Friday night. There was a 20-minute wait, but they insisted that we wander around downtown, since they would text us when the table was ready. Nice touch! Okay, now for the food. I felt like a sweet and savoury meal at the same time, so I had the cornbread with maple rum butter, and then the rotisserie chicken chowder. These were well-priced, ample portions for one hungry person on a budget! And of course, they tasted great. I would definitely come back to Park. read more

The Park is a wonderful restaurant on the strip. I was escorted to the upstairs bar. This is the first time I was escorted to a barstool :). Park has a wonderful beer selection and my friendly bartender was able to assist me in selecting a brew. For dinner I ordered the smoked eggplant. It was accompanied with cheese and tomatoes and it was truly wonderful. The person next to me ordered the trout and he said it was cooked and seasoned perfectly. Park is a great venue for a few drinks (go upstairs and sit on the deck) or for a great meal. read more

This place has a great location with open air seating that has you either outdoor on the sidewalk or looking out on to it. Great for people watching. The food and service are both very good. I came here twice with my friend. The first time was for lunch, and it was good enough to warrant a return for dinner. For lunch, we had poutine and chicken wing appetizers, followed by the Rotisserie chicken. These choices were excellent. The poutine has fantastic baked beans. The wings and Rotisserie were crispy and marinated well. For dinner, we chose the Mess Hall Standard, which had an abundant amount of meat. The chicken again was great, but the ribs and sausage were not as good as we were hoping for. The sauce seemed to be bottled on the ribs. During dinner though, service was fantastic. read more

My husband and I were so excited to try Park Distillery while in Banff. We ordered: - the $25 burger. It was kitschy. A piece of meat stabbed through a burger. It didn't taste great, however. Just okay. - the cheese raclette. I didn't even recognize it when it came. It was not a raclette plate. It was hash browns with carmelized onions with melted cheese on top. WAY TOO EXPENSIVE for it to not be a real cheese raclette. - the prime rib. It was pretty good. Ask for extra horseradish sauce because it comes with almost nothing and the au jus is too salty. - smoked smore. It was not a s'more. It was like chocolate mouse in a jar with a smokey burnt marshmallow on top. The marshmallow was very small. It was disappointing. read more

Tasting tour was great fun. Loved the Maple Rye. Wished we would have made time for a meal not just drinks a d appetizers.

Overrated...yeah I didn't order what they're "known" for. But I still expect a Caesar salad to be tasty not watery. Ordered Caesar salad and tomato soup. Soup was good a little spicy from their house made vodka addition. But others who were with me ordered fish and chips (it's only 1 piece of fish!!), burger and bbq chicken sandwich. All felt their meals were mediocre at best. 4 star dining price for mediocre food....quality may have been good but lacking taste. Would spend my money elsewhere next time! read more

Where do I start? Under the the august glare of the magnificent Canadian Rockies and majestic Mount Randle lays the Park Distillery. The wings are a mealy, undercooked disaster on a good day. Is there ANY time biting into an undercooked rubbery chicken wing hits the spot? The food is pretty pedestrian considering the resort prices you're paying. You enter and get greeted by a William Macy look-alike with the personality of a wet cactus. Stear clear of this half-assed eatery. read more

We ate at a few of the popular places during our trip to Banff and this was easily our favorite. My husband and I had the Benchmark Brisket Sandwich after a long day of hiking and it was soooooo good (it has smoked brisket, caramelized onions, roasted poblanos, provolone, jalapeños, & chimichurri). I asked for a fruity drink and the server recommended "The Beehive," which I enjoyed. read more

Great food and friendly service! We loved being inside yet still enjoying the weather outside.

I don't know how this place got the ratings it did. It was absolutely gross. Not fresh , bland and terrible bar food. Very very disappointed. We ordered the wings, lettuce wraps ( horrible ) tomato soup and fries which were cold and hard . Save yourself and go to McDonald's read more

Wow, I had no idea such great food was available in Banff! We came for the gin and vodka that they make in-house but ended up loving our meals even more than the drinks. I had the trout (half size was huge!) while R got the salmon, and both were delicious. The trout was lightly seasoned and came with a mango salsa, and two campfire sides: baked beans and broccolini. We also started out with the poutine which was a great way to start the meal. The atmosphere and decor of the place was fantastic -- I would describe it as mountain hipster but with a sense of humor. It's much bigger than it looks from the street and we saw several large parties come and go. We went last night and spent all day joking about going again today. I will be back every time I'm in Banff! read more

This place is very cool. The chandeliers are all antlers. It's a clean and modern interior. Not top hipster. We were a group of ten. We all had dinner. We were told about the house made gin and whiskey so we started with a cocktail each. Mine was gin and elderflower based. Farrrr too sweet for my liking! The old Fashioned was very nice. The house red wine was delicious though. We did not have appetisers or desserts. I had the mahi mahi fish tacos with pineapple and tomatillo salsa. They were 3 small tacos with a half of a bbq lemon. They were so so dry. My colleagues had ribs which were ok. Not amazing. The 25$ burger option was tasty apparently and came with a piece of steak on top. Service was polite and friendly. Not too annoying. Overakl this place falls down on the food. It's only ok. The menu sounds far more exciting than what you get. I would be slow to return. read more

Doesn't work for large groups. We came with a group of 15 people (including 6 kids). Food took forever to arrive. When it finally arrived, it came out slowly. One - dish - at - a - time. The server never shared an update while we waited for more than an hour. For a while I figured that perhaps everyone in the kitchen went on break. We sat near the kitchen and didn't see any food coming out. I asked the server for an update and he said it was all coming out right away. It took about 20 minutes from that point to get the food. No bread, no appetizers. Nothing. After a long day of hiking and walking around Banff we were surprised. I don't mind waiting, especially when I have a couple cocktails and the kids have some bread or an appetizer. We also needed to chase down servers to get refills while we waited. It was bizarre. Giving them 2 stars because we came here a couple days earlier with just 4 people (2 kids) and the service was prompt and food was good. A better choice for a large group is Earl's. I'll post a review for Earl's and explain why as soon as possible. read more

We made reservations and everything was great. We went in and were created by everyone - we thought this would be an amazing experience until it wasn't. The food was amazing, but the service was terrible. It took 30 minutes to get a drink, and they were switching between waiters and they kept coming and asking us the same questions again (three times we were asked what we wanted to drink). Finally after awhile I got up and the man literally told me he's been busy with another table and didn't have the time to serve us - we were mortified! We started watching the waiters to see which tables they started waiting and by the end we knew exactly which tables each of them served but for some reason we were given both waiters and a server.. The plates they gave us had dried ketchup on them.. and overall our 2 hour experience was not great and we only were given two drinks. We brought this up to the manager that gave us 50% off and the waiter apologized for saying he was too busy with the other table. The cleanliness wasn't the best.. the lights were super dim but if you actually paid attention you could see. Out of the 10+ restaurants we were at during our week stay in Banff, this was the most disappointing experience. read more

I was honestly I little skeptical coming here. They advertise their style as being 'high heels to hiking boots' and that's actually exactly what it's like! It's a very welcoming environment with all different kinds of groups coming in and no one looks out of place. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly, and took his time to help us choose drinks that would suit our liking. I had the beehive which I would highly recommend if you don't like a super strong cocktail! It wasn't overly sweet but it had a good amount of a blueberry/honey taste - it was so good I've already tried to make it at home! I also got the park burger and the boyfriend got the 25$ burger. Both of us were super happy and found it to be the best burgers we've had. 3 drinks and 2 burgers all together came out to be about 80$ which is on the more expensive side but so worth it for it's quality - in fact it's cheaper than I expected. 3.5 stars - good restaurant on the strip. We decided to come for dinner after a day of skiing/boarding and started with cocktails. I had the G Gully with Park's distilled rye, and it was delicious! My boyfriend and I shared the Fire Burnt Squash as a starter which had a nice char and taste as well as the Mess Hall Standard for our main. Service was very good, almost too much service as the waitress always came by to make sure we were doing okay. My recommendation to the restaurant would be to find some way to split the Mess Hall standard. It was so much food to come out at once that the beginning foods were hot and delicious but closer to the end, some were cold and probably would have been even better if hot. A lot of the single entrees looked great. Highly recommend the chicken and the BBQ ribs as those were the standouts for me from the platter. I also enjoyed the paintbrush to paint the sauce on the ribs. read more

Chill modern bar, sort of low on personality in the decor, but very comfortable and with some delicious locally distilled gins. There's a cute shop for non-touristy gifts, and you can take a tasting tour of the gins. It's a large space with a mezzanine and lovely second floor with nice views of the crowds on Banff avenue, and the mountains beyond. The service here was warm and prompt, they helped us add endless chairs as friends showed up and they made me a truly bawler spicy tequila Ceasar.
