We went to a private event for our company group here and the food was great and the drinks were TOP NOTCH. You must try the Sawback- it is something else... Wonderfully kind staff and such a cool space! Each time we went into town it was popping! Watched soccer here in the bar and it was super fun! read more

Great atmosphere and cool distillery vibes. Highly recommend a 6-pack of ribs or the roti chicken... they were both juicy and delicious. Also a good spot to grab drinks, as they have their own distillery in the back. read more

What a great place delicious food and a fantastic waitress Monique is such a jewel. Ask to be seated in her section!!! I had the AAA Tenderloin with a side of truffle fries. Highly recommended get the steak medium rare and Dijon mustard on the side. read more

We had a pretty decent meal here and two cocktails. The cocktails were just okay--not amazing. We started with the calamari and it was my favorite dish that we ordered. Very good! I had the fish and chips, which was a super generous portion. I couldn't finish it, but it was good. I wish the breading stuck to the fish better. My wife had the Caesar salad. It was good, but the croutons were not! They were dry and flavorless. Service started off slow. Our waiter took about 15 minutes just to take our drink orders, but it improved after that and was pretty quick. Next time I might try to do the distillery tour. read more

This place had a lot of hype. The atmosphere is awesome and decor is great! Great trendy place to go to dinner with friends, but food is disappointing. The poutine was dry and had fatty pieces of beef with a dry cheese and soggy fries. Not recommended. The breakfast poutine looked better. When we arrived the server said breakfast was over and that we couldn't get anything off that menu so we ordered regular poutine. A breakfast one was brought to our table and we got excited and right before we stuck our fork in it someone stopped by said it was meant for a nother table and took it away and brought our dry, regular one. When we asked the server why we couldnt get that she mentioned again breakfast was closed, but we said we just saw an eggs benedict and the bfast poutine at a table who ordered after us. ... interesting but whatever. Just not consistent and the food was MEH just get a drink at the awesome bar and enjoy the drinsk and atmosphere, eat elsewhere for lunch. not sure about breakfast or dinner because apparently it wasnt being offered hahah read more

Ate here twice during our week in Banff. Great atmosphere and excellent service both times. We split the wild game burger, salad, fries and chowder, all delicious and worth a repeat visit! read more

Dirty fries.. Poutine out of this world, the best I've ever had. Cornflake pulled pork fingers are superb!! The dipping sauce is wonderful! Had Cascade cocktail made with gin, which I hate gin was fantastic yummy! Hubby had Buffalo trace bourbon excellent. To top it all off we were seated upstairs where there is beautiful view of mountains and our server Derek was awesome. Coming back tomorrow for breakfast!!!! read more

Sweet Caroline: The food was terrific, the drinks were divine, and the service was beyond reproach. What started out as a gentlemanly gathering with zero expectations turned into an evening of laughter, handsomeness, brilliant conversation pieces and impeccable service from our now favourite person from the GTA. We had a reservation and were seated promptly at a comfortable table upstairs. Our waitress was knowledgeable about the menu, specials and gave us some info about the distillery and the spirits they make. Although the menu was fairly meat heavy, there was plant based menu on the table which impressed me. I had the plant bowl with wild rice, chickpea salad, beetroot hummus, falafel and a poached egg. I was a bit disappointed with my choice as the egg was super cold and there was a pool of water at the bottom of my bowl. Considering the price, I was less than impressed. We ordered two desserts - the Smore and Pecan Tart. Both were average and tasted like they we're brought in frozen and not made in house. My colleagues enjoyed their meals well enough. I think Park Distillery is a little bit overrated in terms of the food but the atmosphere is fun. read more

Great food & service . Top rate take on a poutine ! Dirty Fries awesome. The Ceasar with their own Chilli Vodka was excellent ! Will be buying that one in future. Waitress was spot on with every suggestion she made for us. We even told some people we overheard wondering where to eat to go there. Hope they had as good an experience as we did ! read more

Was a little skeptical of the $25 burger but it was great. Best burger I've eaten in a long while. Smoked rotisserie chicken was very good. Even spaghetti and meatball (giant one) was well prepared. I tried the maple rye (bc Canada), add I didn't like it at all. Like drinking maple syrup - duh I guess read more

Excited to head to the Park for a 40th Birthday celebration dinner, and what a disappointing experience we had!!! Requested a specific table, by fireplace, but put by the main door - so every time it opened - cold air would hit our table. My son wore his coat for most of the dinner. Our server was pleasant, but lack any table engagement. 'What are celebrating today?' 'We're happy you came to celebrate with us' ... maybe a few suggestions I can make. But was sure to add the 18% gratuity onto our bill. We ordered Caesar salad ... $15 - for what I would call a small portion of a dull salad. It's over priced and boring! I ordered fish taco's - the fish was cold and the batter was thick and soggy and taco shell was wet - thinking coleslaw dressing not drained enough? There was a burger ordered at the table and it looked great. So maybe a better choice? The hosted checked in at our table 15 minutes after mains were served to check everything was okay, maybe a table follow up sooner would be recommended. Understanding that this restaurant pumps out the meals in this restaurant day in and out. But .... the attention to detail is highly needed!! Lemon with your sparkling water? Any questions with our menu? Freshly ground pepper with your caesar salad ... ?(which was needed). In conclusion charge $8-$10 for a starter size Caesar - not $15. As a local - I can't say I'd recommend this spot. If a family or a group at dinning at your restaurant for a special occasion- make a fuss! When calling to reserve a particular table & told yes ... then make it happen ... or don't say yes! Fair to Average at best - yet priced to create an expectation that fell very flat. read more

We loved this place!! Great atmosphere. Clean, bright, open and some cool stuff on the walls. We sat at the bar and had a few delicious beers along with a couple of flights of their home made liquors. All very good, by the way. Our bartender was terrific. The service is deplorable. We arrived after the lunch madness with many tables available. We were seated and then ignored for far too long. Tables that were seated after us were greeted and served water and then upon return had their order taken. Only then were we greeted. Needless to say we were not impressed. We each ordered drinks which took over twenty minutes to be served (1 beer, 1 coffee with a shot of Bailey's...they forgot the Bailey's though) We ordered the chicken wings and broccoli as appetizers. My personal preference would be for my wings to be served hot. These were served refrigerator cold. The sauce was good. The broccoli was not impressive. Each of us had a salad. Mine tasted like the chef accidentally had the lid to the vinegar fall off while pouring it in and didn't want to start over so just went with it. Far too strong. The other salad was good. Portion sizes were good, each had a small salad. It is always nice to try out a new place but I won't be returning here. Much rather take my money to an establishment that gets it right like Maple Lounge read more

Yum. This place has phenomenal cocktails and great food! The service we received was amazing. I'd definitely recommend making a reservation!

Awesome restaurant for a night out. Modern rustic vibe with a sprawling bar and tasteful design. Depends what you're looking for. Family time? No. Fine dining? No. A good time with some cocktails and upscale BBQ? YES. Cocktails were nicely balanced and well made; appetizers were excellent -- Pok Pok wings had a lovely char although slightly on the sweet side. Any of the veggies that are grilled are amazing - sweet potatoes, brussel sprouts, whichever. ORDER THEM! Tried the BBQ chicken and the burger, both of which were great. Service was pleasant. We made reservations through Open Table for a Friday night in the winter and had no issues. Not uncomfortably crowded but pleasantly full with a thriving atmosphere. As for the gin and other spirits: they're good but not what I would be rushing to this restaurant for. Head here for a trendy date night out. read more

This is a MUST stop for Banff! PARK has a great atmosphere that even starts from the sidewalk. Grizzly lumberjack and plaid decorations as you walk into what feels like a storybook Pinterest lodge - which are exactly what my dreams are made of! The inside is quite roomy with a large downstairs and multi levels that are also cozy and intimate. Large windows, red lanterns, hints of plaid, fun dining nooks, and a heavy presence of large wood beams and furnishings. There's even a great patio off the top floor which is a great spot to warm up with a fun drink even on a colder night. Great for date night or catching up with a large group. This is sure to impress any number of crowds. They have plenty of seating and bar seating for smaller to bigger groups. For the quality of food and drinks, the prices are right on the spot! Although it's going to cost you a little more than your average night out, you'll be greatly rewarded with generous portions of fondue and perfectly mixed drinks. We did appetizers and drinks there one night for our stay with a large group and then a more intimate brunch for two another day. Both experiences were great. The staff is super friendly, attentive, cheerful, and top notch! We can't wait to visit again! read more

The premise of the place is that you get the campground taste without having to be at a literal campground. So everything is cooked not over a gas stove but over wood or something similar that you would get at a campground. We ordered the full rack of baby back ribs and an order of the foil wrapped trout. Trout was burnt on one side and okay but the baby back ribs was really good. So 5 stars for the baby back ribs and 1 star for the trout and another bonus star for good cordial service and round up to four stars. read more

Summary: The food is only ok, but the drinks are fairly interesting. Location: Located in the middle of the main strip in Banff. It is surrounded by shops and is ideally located if walking through town. 5/5 Decor: The decor is a bit boring, maybe could be thought of as modern log cabin but most of this is intended to creat an easy space to clean, especially in a big snow. There is plenty of seating upstairs and downstairs. 2/5 Food: The food is a mixture of options that can be found in many other places around town, with a small peppering of unique options such as pork fingers, which are essentially cheese sticks with shredded pork in the middle. They are served with a horseradish sauce. Ask for their BBQ sauce instead, it is a much better pairing. I can't say that I was impressed with any of their other food options. 2/5 Drinks: They make there own gin and vodka. Avoid the chili vodka, it is not good. The regulare vodka and espresso vodka are both quite smooth though and worth trying. They have a variety of other mix drinks and beers as well. The selection is good, the only downside might be that the drinks are generally a bit small and not overly strong. 4/5 Pricing: Pricing is a bit on the high side but just above the average for a mountain resort town. It is too much for what you get, but in line with other slightly higher end places around. Most seem to end up ordering the cheeseburger and fries combo to keep costs down. 3/5 Overall: Come here for the drinks and appetizers, get dinner somewhere else. read more

It was raining our first day in Banff so we made our own food and drink tour. Park Distillery was our first stop and it did not disappoint. Our waiter, Chris, was very helpful with our drink choices. We tried several drinks and their gin and vodka was great. Three of us shared the "Picnic in the Park" which had local charcuterie, cheeses, etc. it was so good, we almost ordered a second. I definitely recommend it! read more

My wife and I had just returned from a long day of hiking so we were famished. We trudged into the restaurant around 9:45PM. The space is pretty cool I'll even admit. There's a really cool old time life size picture behind the bar. It was well done but I feel like maybe a bit too much effort was directed towards the decor and not enough towards the food... They have a wood fire menu or "Campfire" menu which looked great. My wife and I ordered the "Mess Hall Standard" off of that which is for 2. Our friendly waiter quickly put our order in and then disappeared for the remainder of the night. Our platter came out within less than 5 minutes which should have been a red flag but like I said we would have chowed down on nearly anything at that point. Everything on the dish was luke warm which never makes for an enjoyable meal. The ribs, chicken, sausages had all been sitting out for some time. The beans were the only thing that was hot and were actually what we both enjoyed the most. The rest of the meal was on par with that of a chain BBQ joint like Famous Dave's or whatever you guys have on the West Coast. Even the cornbread was disappointing and needed to be choked down with some water that our server never once re-filled. By the time we'd finished what we wanted to we had to go up to the bar to track down our server so we could pay the outrageous $50 bill. (That's just the platter btw, no drinks or apps) I don't really know how this place could be better at a different time. We went late on a Wednesday or Thursday night and there were plenty of open tables, I couldn't imagine how much worse it'd be during peak times. Next time I'll save my money and patience and go elsewhere. P.S. If you're looking for somewhere relaxing this place is not it (not that we were). They have a DJ that blasts music right in front of the bar. My wife and I had to nearly yell across the small table over the music. read more

This is place puts a lot of effort into their craft. With that said, it is quite spendy. I was excited to see a barrel aged negroni on the menu for $10 so I ordered one without knowing it would be a one ounce shot poured from a bottle. I haven't quite figured out how they do cocktails in Canada. I'm used to a three ounce drink for the same price in the states. Food was good and healthy. My wife had the half trout that was easily a pound and a half fillet. My salmon was on the small side so I ate the rest of her trout. It was easy to find a place at the bar, but the rest of the restaurant was packed to plan accordingly. read more

Visited Park Distillery after a long day on the slopes. The cocktails were in point and the entrees were a comfortable size. The upstairs portion of the restaurant is cozy and big enough for some large parties. There's a view of the street as well as a fireplace! There is a small shop downstairs that sells their wares as well. Loved my experience here and probably drank too many cocktails as a result read more

Our visit was totally average. (My pics "looked" good. But the dishes tasted like cardboard.) Terrible guacamole- even tho they pushed it hardcore. Tasteless ahi tuna open face sandwich. Average BBQ chicken sandwich. Our food came out warm (with cold fries) and when I asked for salt and pepper it took the waiter three asks +15 minutes before he remembered. Not worth the trip. Go to Earl's. A time-proven menu and better drinks. If you are used to eating GOOD food with flavor and attention to detail- even the basics- just pick any other place along Banff AVE. read more

After multiple days of hiking and cooking in , we decided to splurge on our last day of vacation. I did a little Yelp research and picked this place. Great decision. Collectively, our group of 6 had: the hamburger helper, the shared plate, the pork fingers, the mac and cheese, the burger, the poutine, and cornbread. Also multiple cocktails. All were SO GOOD. The pulled pork fingers shined because they were so unique: pulled pork rolled into logs, coated in corn flakes and then fried. Dipped in maple bourbon sauce. Super rich and delicious. The hamburger helper and the shared plates were also amazing. Presentation of the food was awesome as was restaurant decor. They have found a niche I haven't seen "campfire foods" -- with things roasted over a large "campfire" in the back. Even their gift store has things that people would actually want. Cocktails were great -- the one with the chocolate bitters was perfect. One of my favorite whiskey cocktails to date. Everything seemed very well thought out and well delivered. Fantastic service. Can't say more good things - will definitely return. read more

The Park Distillery is on Banff Ave and boasts a campfire-esque ambience with a true Canadian vibe. Food wise, it probably is not the best place for a vegetarian as there is a focus on meat dishes prepared a-la-campfire. I had the veggie foccacia with salad which was decent and definitely a bit rich. I should have chosen the cheesy fries though! Might have stolen a few from another person at the table. The beer selection is decent and you can even get a stein of beer for the courageous! If you are a meat eater, check it out. If not, then maybe just grab a beer and keep walking. Also, it was quite busy when we arrived so we were added on the wait list. However, we were able to stroll down the ave as we were waiting as they have a text message service. Maybe I am out of the loop, but that was so neat! read more

The restaurant is really cool. Had dinner on the upstairs patio at about 8:30 on a Friday. Drinks took 30 minutes, food took 1.5 hours.... Ordered the BBQ platter, it was okay. I don't need to come back here. Drinks and food weren't bad, but service was horrendous. It was overpriced and not memorable.
