This seemed like the place to go to probably 4 visits ago. But now, it's slowly turning me away. Mind you, I've visited this salon weeks in between each visit. I would like to think that each time I would come it would be a pleasant visit but the customer service is just becoming so bleh. I don't have a word for it.
It's not awful, however, they're staff is not on top of things. I came to this salon last Tuesday and I called the salon before walking in to make sure that they had an opening for a mani/pedi, full set acrylic. The owner, Rose, said yes and I told her that I would be there very shortly. I didn't want to walk in without calling or notice that way I didn't end up waiting for a long time because I believe that if you don't have an appointment then you can't get pissy if they can't take you that time or day. They obviously have other customers to attend to.
I walk in, everything is great so far. I pick out my colors, I wait a few minutes, and the lady who did my feet calls me over after she was finished setting up her area for me. She gets right to work and does an amazing job! I was happy with my feet. Rose on the other hand, she gets started on my hands and lays down the acrylic gel for my full set before the salon receives a phone call.
Before sanding, shaping, smoothing, polishing or doing anything to my acrylic nails at.all... Rose tells a customer over the phone that she can take her at 6pm for her full set acrylic. It's 5:30pm at this point and the woman she spoke with one the phone arrived very quickly. As soon as she walks in Rose leaves me sitting in my chair without doing anything to my nails. Instead, she starts working on this other woman.
It comes to my attention that she basically overbooked me and is going to cram both this woman and myself into one hour. I don't want my mails rushed, and I definitely don't have the time to wait. So, the woman doing my feet finishes up with the nail polish on my toes and I make a deal with myself that if Rose doesn't come back over and finish my nails by the time my toes dry (which took a whole 30 mins or so) then I'm going to leave and pay for what's done.
To sum up this up, 30 mins pass, my toes are dry, my acrylic nails are not finished, Rose is still helping the other woman and I'm coming onto 6pm now. I should have been done and out of here by then but uhhh nope. I stood up, asked to pay for the work that was done and still tipped because I'm not a jerk (even though $60 was still high for not being fully attended to) I paid and left. I said I would be back tomorrow so rose could finish my hands but honestly I'm a busy woman, I don't have time to come back only for possibly the same thing to happen again. I was expecting it to be all finished in one sitting under two hours and I exceeded that time there and left without my hands done. It sucked, really, it did.
I ended up using a nail file at home to finish my own nails.
I don't think I'll be back, if I am, I hope to update this review with a more positive experience. Even though it will be the 5th time I give this place a chance. read more
