I was hesitant to come here because of the bad reviews from two years ago. I'm not sure if they have new owners or if they've improved their service but they did a great job. I made a same day appointment for my mom and I and they gave us really nice feet and leg massages that was very relaxing. The massage chairs were good and the water was perfectly warm. They scrubbed our feet and did a thorough job. She confirmed the color I chose after she painted a nail and continued to give me good service despite many walk-ins and customers coming in. This woman was upset about being charged what the price was that they told her which is normal for any business and yelled at Tiffany and the owner and then called her bank to get her money back and lied to her bank to maybe get a free manicure!!. This woman also vandalized the salon at night pouring strawberry juice all over the entry way door . I have been going to Violent Nails for years and years and this is a clean , well kept place . Tiffany is so sweet and kind and does the best manicure and pedicure of anyone I've ever gone to . The owner is very nice and is fair about her charges . . There is something very wrong with this person! I highly recommend Violet Nails and find it disgusting this woman would go out of her way to leave this review . Long story short: absolutely do not recommend. Long story long: I'm no diva, and I'm not super picky. But this place is an absolute waste of money and time. I read that others have walked out and I wished I had the courage to do that but I ended up still paying for horrible work. Came in for a gel manicure and regular pedicure. My nails were long but eneven. I asked the manicurist, who had been doing nails for only four months, if she can "even them out". She cuts my nails and files them down to THE TIP of my finger. Like so short I had to ask her to stop filing because there would be no nail left. I don't even want to begin with the woman doing my pedicure. She was older and I think her name was Tiffany.... 0/5 DO NOT RECOMMEND. She was pushy, had an attitude, but then tried to be friendly at the same time. I was confused and annoyed and had to snap at her a couple of times. She kept trying to up sell me on things. Kept pushing and pulling my feet around. AND THEN kept trying to tell the manicurist what to do, (which after learning she had only been working for 4 months I kind of realized why. ) To top it all off, I didn't have cash. They told me it was cash only and they had no ATM. I told them that was fine I'll go to the grocery store in the same shopping center and get cash back. She then says "I told you on the phone it was cash only" where I then replied that I was a walk-in and she never talked to me on the phone. Then she pulls out a card reader and says it's an additional 3 dollars. (She was lying about it being cash only) I told her no thank you and I proceed to go to the grocery store to get cash back. On my walk back, I see the older nail tech walking down the walk way to come and find me and make sure I was actually at the grocery store! I asked her if she was following me and she said "oh no no I was looking for someone else." -_- So basically, she thought I was going to leave without paying. She lied about following me. This place is pure garbage with the worst employees possible. The youngest woman here who speaks clear English and might be the daughter or owner is nasty and rude. These people lack customer service and basic human empathy. I came here to fix 3 smudged toenails and she asks me if I got them done with her or elsewhere. Why does that matter? You're not doing it for free I just need you to fix my polish. She further tells me they are all messed up and I need a new pedicure for full price HA! A joke. I showed them a picture of my outfit and they were able to pick out some great colors for me. They have two pedicure chairs and also do manicures and waxing. so i was looking for a nail salon after work.. and boom this nail salon was open. i pulled in and i came in and sat down, mind it s really small place. so I asked for a full set and a pedicure. she said its about 30-1 hour wait. I said that's fine i am in no rush, plus its late in the day. WALKED IN AT 5:30 I ask her if i can please soak my feet while i wait in hot water. she said to just wait. so i did. another 30 minutes pass. then she moves me to the chair - while still attends another girl. i wait another 10 minutes passes and she leaves and the girl and i are alone in the shop . The lady returns with her children. (i get it single mother doing what she needs to but ... ) the children are fighting yelling and jumping all over the place. I have two kids my self but a nail shop is not a kid friendly place. so shes in and out of working on my toes. This part is the best on doing my toes. My big toe was hurting since i hit on the edge of the bed. she made them pretty . Then i told her i want my nails too - she begins with doing a manicure - i told her no! i want a full set. I move over to a table and as she begins to the set- she uses clear nails which is ok with me. then proceeds to the powder. She gets some clear liquid and dips my nail in the powered does this about 3 times and then moves on to file the nails, buffs and "shapes" i told her i wants coffin ballerina. - she nods and says ok - i see that its not buffed correctly my fingers look like swollen ends and she proceeds with gel pink color - the pink looks old and does two layers, then tells me that the silver looks good on one finger? i said i like them plain - pink is fine. then tells me the silver looks good over them . im over it by this point - i wont cause a scene in front of the children. she "finishes" my nails feel thin and I am guessing they are wet since i never have had the powder on my nails like that - only the old fashion brush and liquid and apply as so . so shes like its $75.00 I am like wait what ? how much were my toes? shes like $25.00 ( this was a bit much for how long it took her ) and your nails are $45.00 - not happy with this at all I said um that's expensive but i look down to my nails and there are chubby & the gel look so sloppy. - I am going back today to get my money back at 12:00pm WALKED OUT AT 8:05PM ps.. let me remind you that when I was on my way home , I got out the car and closed my door reached for my house keys my nail bent - MY NAIL BENT - there was not enough powder to make my nail hard !! then I am doing laundry and guess what there goes another nail chipped - and my pink is bent like if i asked the matrix kid to bent it. ALL WITH IN 30 MINUTE SPAN. I WILL UPLOAD PICTURES IN A FEW MINUTES. i am LIVID. Wonderful location! The store is small with two manicure stations and two pedicure stations. However, they were able to fit me in last minute for a mani/pedi. I did go early in the morning so there were only a few customers that came in. The technician did a wonderful job on my gel manicure and the pedicure included a warm towel wrap! I also noticed that instead of using the fragrant lotion that some shops use, Violet Nails used a CoQ10 lotion that helps the skin in various ways. I thought that was a nice touch by the shop owners. The parking is plentiful because of the Jons next door. Overall, it is a hidden gem. The only suggestion I would make is to arrive early or make an appointment, if possible, because I imagine the shop does get busy later in the evening due to its cozy size. read more

I had never been here, but since I was running an errand nearby, I thought I would check them out. I asked for a gel manicure and regular pedicure. After 2 hrs, I finally walked out because I couldn't take it any more. I understand that she had to remove my existing gel polish, but it took an extremely long time, longer than I have ever experienced, and I get gel manicures regularly. Also, my nails were long, but I had one nail that had split so I asked to make them more even...she ended up cutting my nails extremely short, and made them all different shapes and lengths-strangest, most alarming thing I have ever seen!
