Stopped by to get a birthday cake. The girl was kind offering me to write bday wishes on cake. Unfortunately they couldn't find our reward account. It became a slight hassle. We actually have account with them. Anyway the cake was yummy, beautiful and personal. We enjoyed it very much! Thanks guys you've been awesome!

Came by the other day for dessert and it was a decent experience. Opted for the mixed fruit tart and it was a pricey treat. The tart was light and flaky. The custard was tasty and the fruits on top wre fresh. Staff wore uniforms and disposable gloves.

A friend bought me a vegan blueberry muffin and a Mr Bear Chocolate muffin from this place. Both were so good, I ate it in a few minutes. I forgot to take a photo of the Mr Bear Chocolate muffin as I was hungry for a snack, ate it so fast, but remember to take photo of the package. The vegan blueberry muffin was nice and soft and moist to eat too. It was a nice treat to receive from a friend. I love all the bakery goodies here. I haven't tried everything yet, but will do so one bake goodie at a time. If you have never try this place, you should as you will not disappoint. The cakes and drinks are really good too.

Everything you would expect from a Paris Baguette, similar to everywhere else in the world. Good pastries, nice place to just sit down, some innovative menu items, etc. Some of the coffee drinks had a lower caloric count than what I would expect, so that's a big plus.

Can't go wrong with a Paris Baguette cake! They are always delicious, light and fluffy. We tend to gravitate towards the strawberry soft cream one. It's about $50ish and feeds everybody. The cream is super light and the cake is not dry, fluffy and not overly sweet. Always a good option!

They open late till 9pm on Sunday night, this is great, we managed to catch the last minute purchase. We had ham and cheese croissant, coffee twist bread and tiramisu cake slice. All good.

It is definitely your neighborhood bakery cafe, bringing simple but great tasting cake! I was able to try two cakes and was totally satisfied! I tried the mixed berry soft cream cake. Wow! That cake may look simple, but it is so soft and creamy, literally in the details. It was also very light and the berries were fresh! Also tried the chocoholic chiffon cake and this one was decadent. Just hits the spot!

Can I just say I'm a BIG BIG BIG fan of their Mocha cake!!! I have tried very many flavors of cakes from Paris baguette but Mocha cake is and will remain my all time favorite. That light airy texture and not-too-overpowering sweetness somehow makes it the perfect cake! And definitely the chosen one for office parties and birthday parties. Blueberry Chiffon, Tiramisu(Sugar butter flour makes this way better), the notorious Sweet Potato cake(which i definitely do not recommend), Mango coconut are a few additional flavors to try out!

I asked for the mint green tea but in ice form not hot. The lady said she can do it. Hmm no... she ended up just giving me an iced green tea instead with the bag leaking out the leaves from inside. So everytime I take a sip.... I'm eating the leaves from the broken tea bag. lol And there's no actual ice !!! Kinda of irritated honestly. I even asked for medium size and she said no it has to be large for iced. Obviously she didn't understand that I was asking for the hot mint green tea to be done in cold iced tea form. She could have clarified.

This place never disappoints. Our all time favorite is the Fresh Fruit Cake, but we decided to try this new flavor, Chocoholic Chiffon cake, it was so delicious! Perfectly soft chocolate cream and filled with crisp chocolate. Just chocolicious!

I have shopped around almost every possible bakery and reached out to the cake connoisseurs on instagrams. Either their cakes are TOO sweet or expensive. Paris baguette took me by surprise. I planned to have a customized cake for my son's first birthday. My requirements were simple, not too sweet, smooth and neat finish and jungle theme without too many cake fillers. Julie was great at taking notes and she is good listener too! She showed pictures of another client's cakes as an example. I asked for a 2 tier cake (base 8inch and top layer 6inch), cake costs $100. I bought toppers and requested some minor decorations for which she ordered additional $20. Overall the finish was great, the cake wasn't too sweet, no fondant!

The place was situated in a quiet plaza just outside of Lawrence Expressway. There's ample parking but it doesn't feel like the location is suitable for a cafe where you can picture sitting inside looking through some big windows facing a busy pedestrian walkway. However, once I stepped inside, I was surprised at how zen and peaceful the decorations were and how fitting it was for a cozy and quiet cafe hangout. The cake shelf was surprisingly busy. And this is where I took one star out because the lines were confusing and the staff skipped me to talk to the group behind me while I was clearly the next to be helped. Luckily another staff member came out from the back kitchen and jumped in to help. The staff spoke fluent mandarin. I was interested in their box cakes. A few of the yelpers raved about their soy milk cake and luckily they had one out for sampling. It was covered with lots of cream and the cake layer was soft and moist, but it was still slightly too sweet for me and I felt that it lacked the tofu kind of soy flavor. Then, I spotted on their menu that they have a black sesame matcha box cake, and black sesame is always my favorite, so I asked for it. They had the last one left! The staff said she had never tried it so she couldn't tell me if it is less sweet than the soy milk cake. Since it was the last one available and I already sampled the soy cake, I decided to give it a try. I am happy that I did. The cake was filled with matcha mousse and tasted light and aromatic with the jasmine kind of matcha flavor. It is definitely less sweet. Unfortunately, it doesn't have as much black sesame as I'd like. But overall, the cake flavor is the kind that I like, subtle, moist, and not too sweet. $38 for a box cake of 4x4 is a bit pricey, but I'm glad that I gave it a try. The cakes were freshly made and tasted best the same day of purchase. They also recommend refrigerating the cake and consuming it within a day or two.

I kept seeing posts about whaT's More cake's persimmon cakes, so I decided to give them a try. I preordered the persimmon molten cake and the persimmon crepe cake through their website. The online ordering process was smooth, and both cakes were ready right on time for pickup. Unfortunately, the persimmon molten cake was disappointing. While I appreciated that it wasn't overly sweet, it was very mild in flavor. It tasted more like a simple sponge cake with a persimmon filling in the center, and overall, it felt quite underwhelming. In contrast, the persimmon crepe cake was much better. Each layer had persimmon cream and jam, which gave it a stronger and more pronounced persimmon flavor without being overly sweet. Overall, it's a cute cake shop worth checking out if you're looking for unique flavors in the South Bay. Parking: Plenty of parking available in the lot.

The space feels super cozy and service was friendly. They even mentioned their Burnt Almond Cake has always been their bestseller. First bite tasted heavenly. This had more stronger almond and Italian rum flavor and I was pleasantly surprised by the sugared almond slivers coating. The custard was absolutely generous, creamy, and divine. I'd say Peter's Bakery is more traditional, but more fluffier while Sugar Butter Flour has a more modern twist and is slightly sweeter. Their version definitely has more custard, which I personally enjoy... but this may be too sweet for the older Asian parents family. I'd love to come back to try their cookies and other pastries next time. Their Burnt Almond Cake is to die for and would love to buy another one when I'm in the area. I ordered an apple croissant, banana chocolate croissant, kouign-amann, baguette sandwich, and an iced mocha. It took a while for my breakfast to arrive. The iced mocha was warm because the ice had melted, but it was easy enough to fix with ice from my freezer. I'm pretty sure it had no coffee in it, just oat milk and hazelnut dark chocolate, which was perfect in my book. I drank it fast. It was my first time trying a kouign-amann, and I'm still not sure what all the fuss is about. After a couple of bites I moved on to the apple croissant, which had almond cream and a cinnamon apple compote in it. It was delicious, and I loved that it wasn't overly sweet. Next was the banana chocolate croissant. I was disappointed when I cut it in half and saw how little chocolate there was inside of it, but once I tasted it I realized it was just right. The bananas and almond cream were very, very sweet. It was scrumptious with powdered sugar and sliced almonds on top. Later in the day I tried the baguette sandwich, which had Brie, sliced apples, jambon, arugula, mustard, and garlic aioli on it. It was good at first, but then I had to remove the Brie because it overwhelmed the rest of the sandwich. The apple tasted great, but I pretty much love anything with apples on it. All in all it was an interesting breakfast and I'd gladly return to try more of their sandwiches and desserts.

As for flavor the Fleur de Pistache was good - texture was great but I do wish it had a heavier pistachio flavor. The Mango croissant was crispy and fresh. Both items weren't overly sweet which is what I look for in pastries/desserts so I appreciate that. I didn't get a coffee this time around so I can't speak on that, but I'll be back again to try the coffee and their other pastries. Overall, it was a great experience and worth the visit!

Some of them don't even go to any other bakery besides this one and as such, I was excited to try their pastries. I got a combination of both basic items such as their croissant and their more decorative items such as their Paris Brest. The fundamental difference between American pastries and their French counterparts is that the latter are much less heavy and sweet and in that sense, Maison Alyzee does a good job. However, that quality really isn't that important to me unless I'm making baked goods at home or having them at a friend's. When it comes to a bakery, I care more about nuanced flavors, tastes, and textures and in those aspects, this place didn't really blow me away. To put it this way, I would rather travel to Midwife and the Baker and have one of their croissants at a cheaper price even if it may be more of a sugar bomb. I was actually contemplating knocking off another star because of how much the pastries cost an arm and a leg (almost $10+ for some of the individual items). In the end, I decided against it because this bakery is the first I've visited where the pastries both look nice AND taste good (Paris Baguette and Alexander's Patisserie, take note). Overall, this place is good if you are looking for pastries that both look and taste nice. Perhaps my palate is just not sophisticated enough but I just don't get any unique taste that warrants them being the most authentic French patisserie in the area. Personally, I would visit Midwife, Craftsman, and (soon) Arsicault in Palo Alto to get a more "quality' pastry.
