(4.5) I had a really good experience here the other day. I'd recently made an account on their app and received a reward for one free pastry with a purchase. Using the app, I placed my order which was for a salted caramel pretzel latte and salted caramel pretzel croissant. On my way to pick it up, they called me to say they were out of the salted caramel croissant and offered me something else. I decided to choose something when I arrived. It wasn't very busy when I got there around 9am on a weekday. Lots of seating inside and a variety of pastries, cakes and sandwiches. It was also very clean with an area of trays and tongs to pick out what you want. I decided to try one of the "crookies" which was a cross between a croissant and chocolate chip cookie. It was really yummy, I liked the flakiness of the croissant and flavor of the cookie! The latte was also great too, not super sweet. I didn't really get the caramel/pretzel flavor, but still pretty good. Navi was working when I arrived and was very nice and helpful, making sure my latte was made fresh when I arrived. I would definitely come back here!

Love Paris Baguette. Went to the one in Scottsdale and a location in California. You are just blown away by all the lovely pastries. They have a type of pastry for every person. Whether you want really sweet, salty or in between their pastries are the best. The coffee cronut had a nice creamy coffee inside, with the flaky crust. 10/10

I am so happy this location is open. The pastries are so delicious. Freshly prepared and the best part... everything is healthy, of great quality, and reasonably priced. Staff is very friendly. Service with smiles. There are so many desserts to try. Some consistent and some are different each day. There are sandwiches, cakes, coffee, tea's and so much more. My favorites so far are the red velvet slice of cake and the grilled cheese on sourdough. OMG so good!!!

Great Paris Baguette location, convenient for Phoenix folks. Prices are a smidge higher than the Asiana Market location, but that makes sense as it's a standalone location. Very clean and cute, larger than it seems and plenty of area to sit and enjoy your drink or treats. Tons of options and delicious breads, drinks, sandwiches, and sweet treats! Very nice employees and quick service.

    Finally!

Their Banana Bread Latte is to die for, if you like banana and even if you don't like banana you need to have this latte. Their staff is so friendly and it's also such a great place to open up a computer and get work done. They're about to be open earlier and on Mondays as well! The best is yet to come!

I was planning on trying the bagels, but as a NYer I am very picky, and since it wasn't a typical bagel shop and they only had a few bagels available (like 9 on display), I decided to go for the banana bread since that's what I smelled as I walked in. I also snagged a piece of coffee cake and a vanilla Chai latte. I was a little shocked by the sticker price at the end for a small tea and 2 pastries ($19), but it is Ahwatukee after all, and the bread and coffee cake slices were huge!! I cut them in half to share with my roommate when I got back home. The tea was whipped perfectly and it was delicious but still a little sweet even with asking for light vanilla, but I still enjoyed it. The coffee cake was rich and sweet and moist. It was really good but also very sweet. The banana bread won it all and is what gave the extra star to bring it to 4stars. It was perfectly baked, not overly sweet, warm, and scrumptious. It reminded me of my mom's banana bread & made me want to bake some of my own!! The space is a decent size and really neat and clean. The bikes on the wall are cool, and love the wall with merchandise and other goodies. It's a great spot to meet friends for coffee, to study, or do some work. Great little neighborhood spot to support local!!!

We were already on Baseline, so when we peeped Black Rock, we made a quick turn and made our way inside. The space is nice, and clearly fairly new, as is many other surrounding buildings and businesses. They are set up with a few 4 tops, a large communal table, lounge seating, an outdoor covered patio and of course a drive thru. We decided to hang out in the lounge seating, which was comfy and perfect for our brief visit. The menu is straightforward, has all the classics and a few specialty house items. The drinks are listed as bases essentially, and then you can build and flavor it however you want. That is exactly what we did with the shaken espresso. We added the blondie syrups, which were white chocolate and caramel, both sugar free, and a splash of oat milk...sweet and delicious! Was the perfect pick me up before heading to the game. Service was friendly and helpful. The staff were as efficient as they were friendly. It only took a few minutes to get our drinks. After a quick google, I see that Black Rock is a west coast based chain...which makes me sad, as I would LOVE to have one in Nashville. Maybe one day! Overall, stellar spot!

The ambiance, drinks, and service were all great! There is an entrance to Lola Coffee from Roosevelt and another from the back near parking spaces. There is a restroom near the back entrance, and the start to the line to place an order is right near the front entrance. I saw in one of the comfy chairs while I waited for my former student to arrive. At that point, we moved to a regular table and then went and ordered drinks. She ordered a coffee, and I ordered a lemonade. We both enjoyed our drinks which were ready very quickly. There were smaller and larger tables, and there were also countertops along with business cards and marketing items at the back of the room on a thin table. Lola Coffee began with humble beginnings going back to 1992 with a cart, then Lux Coffee, and eventually Lola Coffee downtown. Now, there is even a second Lola Coffee location in Arcadia near 40th Street and Indian School. Today, they serve coffee, pastries, and breakfast. The Downtown Phoenix location hours are weekdays from 6:30 AM to 7 PM and weekends from 7 AM to 7 PM. You can see their menu, history, photos, and more on their website (https://lolacoffeebarphx.com). While I had trouble choosing between a lemonade for a cold beverage or hot chocolate for a warm beverage, it's great they have so many options. Again, try them for drinks, breakfast, or pastries. Their staff is so helpful and the actual restaurant is quite welcoming to everyone.

The parking lot was very busy, and hard to maneuver. This will likely deter me returning to this location in the later afternoon/evening, but I imagine parking is easier in the morning. Upon entering, I noticed lots of cozy seating and work stations as those are the most used reasons to visit a coffee shop. My boyfriend was nestled in a couch like seating with a coffee table. Definitely perfect for him waiting for me to pick him up when I finished work. He remarked about the records on the wall, and lots of the decor as it was a cutesy coffee shop. For my coffee beverage, I ordered a flat white as it's a good indicator of a decent coffee shop. Happy to report they passed the raw sugar test (put raw sugar on top and quality foam should hold up the sugar). They have great espresso and use one of the best espresso machines I've seen at coffee shops (La Marzocco). Loved the flavor and the foam was divine! It was delightful and distinct with the date syrup and rose water. Next time I would choose almond milk because the oatmilk (+1. ) overpowered the delicate rose notes. To my surprise, gluten free food options were available at this non chain business. A chocolate chip almond cookie, peppermint bark cheesecake and an almond cake all tempted me. I went with the almond cake and enjoyed the fresh, moist, sweet treat that was topped with toasted slivered almonds. Winner. Even though I think the tab was a tad high for a morning coffee break ($16.36) I would return. I enjoyed my time here while observing the local patrons interact neighborly with each other. The homey community vibe oozed throughout this cafe which Starbucks doesn't provide. A charming cafe that seats 35 patrons inside and approximately 18 people outside. Stop on by.
