This dealership has put out an ad for Fourth of July from the 3-8. We called this dealership to talk about the lease deals and they proceeded to tell us that that ad is form last month and they do not have those deals. We told them that it states is starts today and goes until the 8th. Again they told us that it's just misleading. Again we told them we have screen shots of it and it clearly states the dates. We got harassed by two more phone calls by sales man trying to make a deal but again said that ad is from last month and not current we asked to speak to a manager and they told us to not to bother calling anymore. We told them we called once inquiring about the ad and now they have called us two more times to argue about that ad. Horrible service!! No one even looked to see the ad on their website and to apologize or to honor their ad. That is false advertising and is not right. To those disrespectful salesman shame on you and shame on Chevy for putting out advertisements that are false only to draw in customers. read more

I'm not a fan of going to dealerships for service but this was an exceptional experience! I travel 50 miles one way to work. It was a rainy mess out and my daytime running lights stopped working. Turned headlights on and one bulb out. Went in for what I thought was a headlamp replacement and it turned out to be a broken wire. When someone finally came to me, the sales person told me he could give me a great deal on car (Chevy Trax) but I needed to leave a deposit and could not see the specific car I was getting... he then disappeared. Hopefully you are there to buy a car because Bob doesn't want to speak to you if you are not. I called on a Friday to see if I could return my leased vehicle on Monday. The receptionist said yes, just drop it off. Got there Monday and Bob the sales manager said sorry, I don't have any room. Go someplace else. I guess Bob isn't selling any cars there. He told me his receptionist would not have told me I could drop my car off there, so I guess I made it up. Then he told me to go look out back at how full the lot is. Very helpful. Then I asked if we could get on the phone with GM, and he told me I needed to leave, that I couldn't be anywhere near the sales desk. Bob says he's done this a thousand times which tells me they are never selling any cars there. Lucky for me, a nearby competitor was cordial and willing to take the return in spite of the fact I wasn't planning to buy a car. Lucky for them, but not so much for Bob, I took one look at the new Blazer and they are putting together some numbers for me as we speak. I intended to write this review 2 months ago but didn't get a chance so here it is! I visited this dealership with the intent to purchase a Tahoe truck. My husband and I walked in at 1pm and sat with the sales person (according to the manager..his "top sales guy"). This sales person continued to give us discounts upon discounts to get us the best price. We told him several times that when it was time to discuss the terms with the banker we didn't want to hear that what he had promised would be a problem. He repeatedly assured us that there would be no issue. Upon finally agreeing on a price, I raced back to my house to get the title for my trade in and purchase my Tahoe. I was so excited but when I returned I was told by the banker that he could not sell me the car at the terms the sales guy had REPEATEDLY PROMISED that he could!!! Excuse me?! U mean to tell me that I just wasted 7 hours of my life ...yes 7 hours... drove back to the bronx to get my title and I'm not getting the car because YOUR SALESPERSON WAS making false promises?!! To top it off, the manager had an extreme attitude and did not even seem apologetic about his employee. Three days later I walked into LaSorsa Chevrolet on Webster and walked out with a brand new Tahoe at an even better deal than I was offered at Paramus Chevrolet. Knowing I have a tight schedule he took care of as much as he could before I even arrived. He missed nothing on the check list. Took his time as if I was his only customer. Not one issue. I recently leased a 2017 Chevy Equinox from this dealership. Having leased cars previously I was amazed to just spent less than 2 hours and strike the deal for Equinox. There was no back and forth of what I expect Vs what they can offer. Jeff was our sales representative and he was straightforward. We gave our "$" of what our budget we want to spend for a lease and Jeff was able to get us the deal after some talking with his manager. The day when I went to pick my car - it was very smooth process. I forget the name of the person but he explained us everything about the car and helped in setting up One Star account. The only thing which was a turn off was we went to this dealership since we saw an ad which stated Get new car for exchange of an existing lease - but when we went GM had already pulled that ad from the market before the expiry date. It was a turnoff initially but irrespective of that Jeff helped us get a good deal. read more

Unless you want a nightmare of bad experiences, stay far away I can say this because I bought a used car here, and the paperwork was a nightmare. They did not have the title for the car I bought when I did and then it took 2-3 months to get registration. I would call people and only half the time would they get back to me, but when they did, they sort of wanted to make me feel that they had 0 responsibility of bad paperwork and the issues of the dmv. All of it I had to accept, and none of it was their fault, as long as they got a car out off the floor. I feel I can say this strongly because 9 months after buying my car there, I went and bought another vehicle elsewhere, who has a Chevy dealership, and they looked at my paperwork from Paramus and laughed. Also, I feel I can say this strongly because both PAramus and my current dealership use the same finance bank. Every contact with this bank when I was a PAramus customer was a disaster as lack of bad paperwork on their part-every experience with my new dealership has been nothing but a pleasure and expedited. The way it should be, the way it should have been. I will never go back there, do yourself a favor, and avoid. read more

My family has been buying cars at this location for years. I went in to look into a Cruze and Bob helped me. He was patient, explained the entire process, all the options of the car and buying or leasing process (I wasn't sure at the time). I came back a different night and test drove a car with Mary, again patient, expert in knowledge of the car's features. Came back a few weeks later to finalize the deal with Mary. Just wish they would've better described a security feature they push. Apparently you can't opt out a unless you're getting a a custom I built car. It's a sticker which leaves a special number ok not visible with UV light. Something to identify the car if it's stolen, apparently thief's then will less likely choo up parts. Sell point is that if they can't find car you get money back in addition to insurance. What I didn't learn until the end is this service is only good for 5 years. In the end it's a couple hundred bucks more which in the grand scheme wasn't a big deal. Still had a great experience here and I'm sure I'll be back for service appointments and way down the road my next car. read more

Worst dealership ever. I have bought countless cars over the years and I was referred to go here, Which may have been worst decision of my life. My wife and I bought two pre owned vehicles. The jeep I bought had standing water in it when I went to pick it up. They were supposed to loom it over but they failed to lift the all Weather mats and see that about 2" of water was sitting on the passenger side floor. They promised to take care of it. The jeep sat in service and they told me it was taken care of. Next rain and the jeep was submerged in more water than before. I had it in and out of there 3 times In the first month. They just could not get it right. Finally they brought it to specialist and the water was taken care of. I paid big money for the truck and with it came a soft top as well as a hard top. When the weather finally got nice we tried putting the soft top on and learned it was missing more than half of the components. These people are obnoxiously pushy. I was actually interested in the car but now I am totally turned off to the whole idea. I was able to find the information on my own which is probably what I should have done in the first place but I thought this would save time and be more efficient. Overall I am not sure why I even bothered to make an appointment (which was 8:30am), as my car was not looked at until after 3:00pm. By this time, my car needed more work than I had anticipated, and now being too late to order the parts and perform the service, I had to bring my car back a second day, which was terribly inconvenient. Also, I 'think' I had an oil change done. I certainly paid for one, but the oil life indicator was not reset, so I'm only assuming it was completed. A mechanic drove the car to me when I picked it up, so he would have had to have seen that it was not reset. In the back of my mind, given the other work that was done, I will continue to think that the oil change itself was never done. read more

If all you are doing is oil change, it's fine...not timely or efficient by any means unless you are there first thing in the morning. If you need your car fixed then they won't do most anything unless you leave your car for a day or two or three. Their service hours are horrible for working people...they leave at 4 pm. In our first visit after the intro, Cruze test drive and about an hour salesman Bill says to us well do you want it; yes or no; make decision; it's busy and I need to get out on the floor; it's the end of the month. He then said we had to make a decision today (Saturday). Which wasn't true; Monday June 1st. I never had a sales person treat us in this fashion. We were not accurately informed about how a NY customer buys in NJ and we were not told we have to pay for and have the car inspected in NY and the deal with plates being mailed by Paramus Chevy. A bit of a hassle. We made a 7:30 delivery appointment and when I confirmed with Bill I said I could get there earlier and he said that would be great so we arrived about 7:15 and proceeded to wait about 45 minutes before being taken care of. I went for a lease promotion that they were advertising in mid March and his exact words were, "I just sold the last one a minute ago." I said that's weird because I just called and Adria the person I spoke with on the phone said we have a lot come on down and we have all the colors too. Needless to say I wasn't getting anywhere so I walked out and when we went in the car decided to call and see what they will say on the phone. I spent a few hours there while they told me they could not even come close to the quotes I had from other dealers. The worst experience I ever had in my life with a service department. I bought a pre owned fully loaded suburban LT for $55,000 , with a minor dent/ blemish the size of a hair clip , previously repaired and touched up ,on the rear bumper from another dealer 3 months ago , signed an "as is "agreement for the minor dent and had no problem with the car. Full certified pre owned bumper to bumper warranty. Everything worked great until the parking assist stopped working a week ago. I brought it here for an oil change as a first service. The park assist sensor needed replacing The windshield has a crack, my fault ,and they quoted 850.00 to replace it. I was ok with that. They said they can do it a different day because it had to be ordered. They said I needed a wheel alignment 159.00. I was ok with that. When I picked up the car the service person told me I would have to pay 500.00 for the sensor, which they wouldn't replace under warranty because " you backed into something and caused a dent that broke the sensor" I was told. Bull s--- And a very rude accusation. When I offered to prove that I bought the car like that he didn't care and stuck to his guns. It was insulting. I paid for the alignment service and then talked to the service manager who was more rude then him. When I mentioned to him that he was not only going to loose the windshield replacement order, which I subsequently cancelled , but he would also loose all my future business ( I always use new car dealers service departments for servicing on the last 6 new and certified preowned cars I owned) he didn't care. I then did the math for him. Just bought the car with 16,000 miles on it. 5 year loan. I put +20,000 miles per year on cars. 4 future services a year for 5 years = 20 services= big future profit+ the 850.00 windshield replacement order, which I of course cancelled. I explained he would loose all of that future business from a good customer that lives less then a mile from the dealership over a sensor they refuse to replace,that is under warranty , that probably costs the dealership 200.00. He actually had the nerve to tell me I wasn't a customer yet!!! Hello!! McFly !!!! I just paid 169.00 for the service!!He lost me forever. I have since brought the car to Schumacher where I originally bought it, they're replacing the sensor for free and the new windshield is on order. The last 12 years I've had a Honda , a Mercedes Benz, a Ford F 150 ford and always had to wait a week, sometimes more, for a service appointment An alarm should have gone off when I called them and they had openings for the same day. It's a very low volume service department, read the other reviews too and you'll see why. I don't know how they survive. They must own the property and stay in business because of low tax Paramus. If you want to make one of the biggest purchases of your life, pay a handful of thousands of dollars, and walk out of a dealership feeling positive about the experience, PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DO NOT BUY A CAR HERE. I originally leased a car from here and because I'm an average looking woman who went alone I got totally railroaded with the least payment; but that's neither here nor there. After a few years of leasing we decided to buy our car (ugh I'm nauseous with regret even saying that.) The dealership applied our payment to the wrong account, GM now thinks we are both leasing AND bought the car, and are still charging us for the lease payment. Not only are they charging us for both payments, they've since put my "overdue" lease payments into collections turning my "excellent" credit score into a "fair" credit score over the course of only two months. Since Paramus Chevy already has our money, they didn't really do anything to rectify the situation so I spent 2 hours of my own time on the phone with GM trying to resolve this when I brought this issue to their attention two months ago, but nothing has been fixed. I've since been given two temporary license plates, the last of which expired on a Saturday - and so I went in to get yet ANOTHER temp license plate because the receptionist told us we HAD to come in on the day it expired, and was told not only is it "illegal" to give a third temp plate and that they can't issue one on a Saturday anyway (then why have mine expire on a Saturday and tell me I can only come in on that day??) So, to recap, GM thinks I'm both leasing and own the same car, I'm driving around with an expired temporary license plate, my credit score has gone down almost 100 points, this dealership has done literally nothing to rectify a situation that they created, and what should have been an exciting day in our lives has turned into the most infuriating experiences I've ever, and am still experiencing. The service advisors are useless. Shouldn't you at least know a LITTLE about cars if you're a SERVICE ADVISOR at a dealership? They're clueless, and they really don't care. These people don't even LIKE cars, much less know anything about them. If you're not there for something easy like an overpriced oil change and tire rotation, cabin filters or air filters, then don't bother with this place. They don't like to work on older vehicles and they don't like to do actual work. If it's something a little more complicated than oil changes, air filter changes or tire rotations, then they don't wanna do it. The service dept of a chevy dealership is where they are supposedly to gladly work on ANY chevy vehicle REGARDLESS of age, and regardless of what work needs to be done from A to Z whether it be an oil change or a head gasket job. The service advisors seem to get mad if you ask them for prices on anything other than simple maintenance services, they are intimidated because they know nothing about cars and don't know what they are talking about. the situation is compounded by lazy technicians who don't want to do real auto repair. This is basically an overpriced jiffy lube or 10 minute oil change place, only you're gonna wait a minimum of an hour and a half for just an oil change, appointment or not, because they take walk-ins so appointments don't mean anything. read more

Staff was very nice and got the job done but service took a lot longer than originally quoted. I ended up waiting with my 20 month old for 2.5 hours for an oil change and tire rotation. That's longer than I was quoted when I arrived for service, and even longer than I was quoted when booking the appointment over the phone. Next time I will request a loaner, which was not offered to me. Also, all the other cars I ever leased and serviced always included a car wash, especially within this time frame, but I guess Chevrolet does not do this. read more

Took 2007 Saturn vue to service dept for Alternator. Called for an update and was told that the part was being shipped fed ex and would be at the service center by 10am Friday June 3rd. Waited until 2:30pm and called for an update. They didn't have the part and didn't know when they would get it. Would have been nice for service to have the courtesy to contact me. No loaner cars either. So now it will be over a week because my car, to paraphrase the manager, ïs too old". I suggest avoiding this place and going to Hawthorne Chevrolet. Better service, better updates and they gave me a loaner even though my car wasn't under warranty. Paramus only seems to care about new business. And now they've lost mine. I wanted to lease a Chevy Traverse and went to the dealership in May to check their vaunted low price deals. They welcomed me very professionally but that was about it. As soon as I started asking for specific details of the numbers it threw them off. I had done a very good homework about all the numbers of leasing a car. They started giving me numbers that did not add up. The only thing they were interested in was how much I was ready to pay per month. That is the oldest trick in the leasing book. When I asked the manager Brent CoFrancesco what the money factor rate was his answer, "Gee I don't know, I haven't gotten that question in a while. Let me check for you." He never came back into the room and I dealt with only the sales guys Andrew Soltis from then on. A manager that does not know the current money factor/interest rate but is happily quoting monthly rates...Come on!!! Anyway, I kid you not but Andrew left the room every time (~10 times) I asked for a number, saying he did not know and had to ask his supervisor. A salesperson who is there to smile and just put some number in front of the customer without knowing what anything means!! Anyway their final offer was approximately $50/month more than the offer I had on the table with another dealer. When I mentioned the lower offer they insulted me by saying that it was a very suspicious offer. Finally when I mentioned that their numbers were not adding up they asked me to leave, as I was 'occupying too much of their time' and they had to 'attend to other customers'. At that time there were 4 other sales reps standing alone without a single customer in sight. I have since gotten a great lease deal on the higher Traverse model and ended up buying it. Paramus Chevrolet is the worst dealership experience I had. I am in the process of reporting them to consumer affairs department. read more

Very happy with Joe L. in Sales who had facilitated my first Corvette purchase almost 10 years ago. Joe is one of the few Car Salesman who knows cars, can tell you gearing ratio's on a Vette without having to consult a manual, etc... Joe has also facilitated new car purchases for friends of mine whom I referred and they to have been very happy with his service. The only negative area are in the Service Dept., where when in for recent service, they overbooked the day and lost our appointment. We had to find the woman's confirmation v/m in order to prove to Mike (Service Advisor) we had the appt. He related a four hour wait even after we confirmed the appt. We escalated to a Manager so we could have prompt service and not wait four hours for an oil change and he agreed. read more

Not sure if it was the sales guy I dealt with saying things like "I'm here to work for you" it was like he was reading off a used car salesman script from the 80's...was there to do an easy and quick deal on a lease. Became evident it wasn't going to be easy or quick unless I wanted to get ripped off so I walked right out. Guy thought I was playing along with him and came out after me offering numbers that he should've started off with in the first place. When people are frustrated with your sales process enough to walk out, you have already lost their trust. I bought a Colorado from this dealer. It was a bait and switch. The salesman was terrible. The sales manager who after I bought the truck sent me a feel good letter saying if there was anything he could do for me to let him know. When I bought up the bait and switch, I never heard from him again. The MSRP sheet showed cloth interior but the interior was vinyl. I brought this up to the salesman and asked him to buy the truck back (I owned it for 3 weeks). He said the dealership would take it back for $25,000 which was $8,000 less than I paid for it after 3 weeks. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone, ever. read more

Purchased a Certified Pre-Owned that came with a 12 month, 12K miles bumper to bumper warranty. Battery went bad after 4 months. Called to ask if it was covered under warranty, was told yes so I brought it in for service to find out that it was not covered. Bumper to bumper should be just that. Which the service rep agreed with. So CPO is useless. read more
