Great, lively spot for drinks and beyond! We came here for some post-dinner drinks and had a nice time, especially with the live music and easygoing vibe. My parents love going to happy hour at Parallel Wine and Whiskey Bar, and I can see why. They took my boyfriend and me here for some drinks, and we all had a great time. Our server was very friendly and checked in with us throughout our time. They have dine-in, in addition to the large patio area where it's dog-friendly. I wasn't hungry, so only had drinks here, which weren't bad. As the name of this place entails, the wine and whiskey list are large, so there's something for everyone here. I ordered a glass of a red wine from Virginia, and sadly it tasted like it had gone bad. I asked the server if I could get another drink, which she happily exchanged for a Manhattan. When she came back, she let the bartender know about my wine, which he ended up trying and agreed that the wine went bad. The Manhattan was much better. As with most Manhattan cocktails, it was strong, especially with the whiskey base. My parents ordered sliders and parm fries to share and it looked really good! The food looked appetizing, so would most likely come back here on an empty stomach. But all in all, Parallel was a fun place to hang out for evening drinks. I came here for the crazy hour and happy hour and left... super full and super satisfied (but missing CH and HH! Please bring it back!). I came here in phase 3 of COVID and felt extremely comfortable. My group sat outside (the wall opens and the fan from inside created a nice breeze which was awesome). Everyone was wearing masks, the menus were paper, and the tables were adequately spaced. For food I tried the wagu sliders (with duck fat fries) and the pear prosciutto flatbread. The sliders were definitely the standout! Usually sliders are a little dry but these were perfectly cooked and oh so juicy. For drinks I tried the blueberry lavender mojitos and the peach basil white sangria. The mojito was the standout! It was very cute, very light, very refreshing, and very delicious! It was a far drive for me and I was hoping to come for CH and HH which they aren't offering now, so I'll probably stick to closer places to me until they bring that back. read more

Met a friend for lunch today and boy was it amazing. So the staff is excellent! Very attentive, made suggestions and just a very nice atmosphere. The drink menu had tons of whiskey, wine, cocktails, craft beer and so much more. I started with the Honey Peace Rose Sangria, which was refreshing and it hit the spot on this 90+ degree day. I paired it with The Wagyu Beef sliders and duck fat fries. Can I just say that the sliders were absolutely delicious! The beef was tender and the flavors were perfect! The fries were hot and crispy! Our lovely waitress suggested I come back and try their Brunch menu on the weekend. So of course I will be coming back. This honestly saddens me. My wife and I decided to take my mother-in-law to one of our favorites places considering the fantastic weather Monday evening. I called ahead and made a reservation. We arrived 5 minutes before the time only to notice that our name was the only reservation placed that day. The place was a bit empty with a few groups here and there. We were able to get a nice spot in the sun and utensils which were appreciated, but after 10 minutes of waiting, we decided to leave. We felt completely ignored. No server came and we had no water. We've all worked in the industry before and have been in situations where we needed to serve tables even if they're not in our section. Better to work as a team then lose customers. Monday's experience was a total opposite of what we experienced during Brunch. In the end, we decided to go to another favorite restaurant that never lets us down. Ok this place is huge!! The more casual side is to the right when you walk up - more like a huge bar with live music. I sat on the party room side. Comfy big chairs and two huge bars. Service was kinda slow. However the food was outstanding! I loved the two flatbreads - the chicken one and the mushroom one. Such unique flavors and so different from one another. The mushroom one is kinda sweet and the chicken was kinda spicy. Literally some of the best flatbreads I've ever had. Unfortunately a lot of the menu had pork in it so that's why I couldn't try it. Each person ordered a different dish and drink. Everyone was happy with her order and raved about this place. If I am in the Ashburn area, this will be my go-to. Made a reservation for my birthday to go there with my wife and no child. Been wanting to try this place for a while and I had their food from their food trucks. The ambience is great though they need to really invest in their chairs as they no longer have any cushion or padding left. The hostess were great and seated us at the table quickly. Our server Kaylee came and greeted us and welcomed us since it was our first time. She was knowledgeable about the menu. Asked for a few minutes so that we could decide and this where it went downhill. It must have been another 10 minutes before she came back and took our order. The food came out pretty fast and the mojito and beer and food was great except for the Banana Foster desert. More on that later. She drops the food and another 15 minutes pass before she asks how the food was. This was a constant theme that she would pass by our table and see empty dishes but still not pick it up. There was no offer to get us a second round of drinks. Had to get her attention to put the desert order in. As mentioned previously the desert was way too sweet and not balanced at all. She passed by our table atleast 5 times seeing that we stopped eating it but never asked how it was. Finally had to stop her and let her know we didn't enjoy the desert and asked for our check. No apologies or ask us if we wanted to try something else. We got the bill and she didn't even bother to take it off as we barely took 3 bites out of that desert. Overall a disappointing experience and definitely not a place I recommend for special occasions. I would say it's a great place to go have a drink but that's it. read more

They have a crazy happy hour I suggest locals who finish work early stroll over here for crazy happy hour. You can't beat $4 wine and $6 cocktail drinks. This place is a really nice spot tucked away in Broadlands. Went on a Friday night. The patio was lit up with live music for the guests. The selection of whiskey is memorizing. I ended up going with their Old Fashioned which was a delicious drink! I prefer mine a little sweeter, so this was perfectly made. If you like yours to taste a little more like whiskey, you should ask for less sugar. The food here is solid. The cajun fried pickles are perfectly fried and crispy, and the pickles are nice and crisp. Not pictured were the chicken and waffle sliders. They were delicious! The chicken tenders were great, and the waffles were nice, soft, and warm. Great appetizers. I got the Hog Heaven Burger. It was delicious! Ordered medium, the burger was cooked perfectly. The combo of the beef and sausage patty made for great flavor. All of the toppings were cooked perfectly and tasted excellent, enhancing the burger greatly! Highly recommend! The cheesy chicken sandwich was not great in my opinion. I don't think the cheese works with the chicken, and vice versa. Way too many tomatoes on the sandwich as well, not my thing. I don't understand the hype if the parmesan duck fat fries. Are they good? Yes, they are. But they're not really fries. It seems more like potato wedges, or a potato cut into quarters, fried, and covered in parmesan cheese. The outside of the fries aren't crispy though, and I asked mine to be well done. The inside was definitely soft, like a somewhat mashed potato. I would recommend coming here for happy hour, or dinner! read more

Went here for a friend's birthday dinner and it was very nice. Giving them 4 stars because our table was infested with ants and then our wine came out with fruit flies floating in the glasses. Other than that... food was great and our waitress was great. The salmon with risotto was the best out of the dishes we ordered. I would go back just to have that again. The buttered chicken was okay and the flatbread was pretty good. Tables are on the smaller side so if you like to order a lot of food like my girlfriends and I (family style) try to stagger the orders. We ran out of space on the table pretty quickly. I got the mushroom bowl and the pork sliders. I'd get the pork sliders again but probably not the mushrooms. Although they tasted good, it wasn't really worth 6$. This place has a wide variety of Whiskeys and Wines, has an romantic ambiance, and friendly staff. They have a pick 3 wine sample flight for a great price of $12. They also have machines that dispense wine based on the size pour you'd like, (sample, half glass, full glass). We tried the duck fat french fries which came with a side of white sauce. It taste great, unfortunately, there was only a hand full of peices. We also tried the made from scratch orange bunt cake. It was delicious, flavorful and looked exquisite. The chicken and waffles came with 4 individual mini waffles and crispy chicken. Overall, there was a very large selection of Whiskeys and Wines, the customer service was great and the food was good but bite size. I would highly recommend. read more

OMIGOD I LOVE THIS PLACE. I've been twice for brunch, and it is on point. Super unique twists rather than the same-old same-old brunch menu. The fried chicken & waffle benedict was to die for and is now my go-to. I've also gotten the french toast breakfast sandwich, which is a LOT but was super interesting and delicious. And the parmesan-duck fat breakfast potatoes are soooooo flavorful. And I haven't even gotten to the drinks yet! The maple old fashioned and the bacon-washed bourbon breakfast cocktail are unique, delicious, and go down a little bit too easy. There are also so many other cocktail combinations on the menu that I haven't gotten through yet but look sooooo good! I *have* to get back here for the dinner menu! read more

This place has taken a nosedive in service. It used to be one of my favorite restaurants in Loudoun, but on both of my last two visits the service SUCKED. It took over 15 minutes to get a server to our table (only after a gentle reminder to the hostess), the chairs were super wobbly, and the "silver"ware is badly tarnished. When I asked for better silverware I was told, "it's supposed to be that way." Silver is NEVER supposed to be tarnished. It looks gross. Even if you think it matches the rustic decor-you're wrong. It's really a shame how bad this place has gotten. It has gone from 5 stars to 1. Time to step up your game. read more

There's also an outdoor patio area that wasn't open (we went in winter) - but that would be great to hang out on summer evenings.
