I ordered over the phone for a pick up order so I was not able to experience what it was like for dine in but I did have a pleasant and quick experience for my pick up order. You are able to call in and place an order over the phone and pay at the restaurant. My food was ready to be picked up when I got to the restaurant. I got a chicken Gyro wrap and fries and a drink. I really enjoyed the wrap, the chicken was nice and moist the sauce was very tasty and the pita was soft. It was a really great portion size and made me full for my lunch. The price point was average I paid a little over 13 for the wrap fries and drink. I would like to come back and try the chicken plates with rice. read more

I was happy to find this Mediterranean style restaurant in Modesto. My husband and I needed to find a place to eat that was quick, but we didn't feel like having fast food. The Mediterranean cuisine at Papachinos was delicious. The gyro pita was excellent. The falafel pita which was crazy good. I'm very picky about falafel. The falafel was large, soft pieces that were delicious and spiced well. The restaurant has a laid back vibe that pairs perfectly with the friendly staff. Went today for the first time and will not go back. The soup was very salty and the crackers had a very odd smell, then came lunch, no flavor in the veggies. The chicken had a nice taste, but nothing exciting. We ordered Baklava for dessert for $3 a small corner piece that was too hard to cut into. We refused to pay for the baklava and told the waitress that we would pay for the rest of lunch, but disappointed the soup was overly salted and that there was something wrong with the crackers (I know that sounds like I am being overly picky, but I still smell them. We went in on Friday and I think their air conditioner was out or it just was overworked (which is fair during this heat), but the service is what really did not meet the standards. When my family were there to order, it was not busy but picked up after ordering food. We all got our food at different times which is not okay especially as we are trying to eat together. We had requested an extra plate twice to split the kids food and it never came. The food was not super warm as some of us had to wait for others to get their food to eat. At one point we overheard the waitress ask to put another soup in the microwave which does not sound appetizing in the slightest. It was also hard to get refills on our drinks. read more

I started with the lentil soup. So flavorful without over or under seasoned and served hot not lukewarm. Yum. Main course was their combo plate. Chicken, beef, and lamb. FlaVorFul! Delicious! This place is a hole in the wall, but bigger than you think. My friend and I were the only ones here on a Saturday afternoon. The place is very nice and clean and very nice hospitality. The food was off the hook! I had a gyro w/ salad and my friend had a greek salad. The only downsides, which were hardly downsides, were the salad dressing and baklava. Consistently my favorite Greek restaurant in the area! The hummus is always delicious: great texture, appetizing drizzle of oil on top, and a little bit of some type of red spice. It isn't spicy, but it's absolutely delicious. The warm pita bread goes very well with it. The atmosphere is always pleasant, with either nice music playing over the speakers or, a couple of years ago, someone playing guitar live in the corner. Great date place. I usually order the Combo Platter because I'm indecisive, and I end up satisfied. The cuts of lamb are small, but tender. The rice is mildly flavored and goes well with the flavorful tzatziki sauce! My family members have ordered dishes with a side of fries before, and they're always crispy. I personally prefer the side salad, which has a mouth-watering amount of feta and dressing over it, which I love. Overall, the food here is great! Went in at noon this past Saturday after my girlfriend purchased a Groupon. I ordered the Classic Gyro plate, while my girlfriend got the Chicken Brochette. I ordered mine with fries and she got the Greek salad (both came with jasmine rice as well). Overall, I was very impressed. The meat on both entrees was very tender and had great flavor. Our waitress was very nice the entire meal. The only complaint I had was the price. Even after my girlfriend's Groupon was taken off (a $14 credit) I ended up paying over $20 for the two dishes, one soft drink, and a water. Without the benefit of the Groupon I would have paid $35 including tip. Although $35 for dinner is reasonable and to be expected, it seems a bit high for lunch. SO had the sampler platter, and cleaned his plate!! The problem was the restroom. I looked clean enough, but smelled like rotting garbage. The portion was very small as you can see in the picture, my veggies (particularly the carrots) were barely cooked . The chicken itself was good as well as the rice.... I just couldn't wrap my head around the waiting time also as there were only 1 other customer there. The spots nice and all and the servers were really kind.
