This place is great. Food- I wanted to order vegan chicken so I tried the viper knight (I think that is what it was called) and it was good! You couldn't even tell it was vegan. Nicely toasted and all. Service- fantastic. The lady who took our order was super friendly, and spoke kindly. Ambiance- I like the superhero theme. There's a wall of old comics and they had superhero cartoons playing. I like that this place is halal. There's not many halal options in Modesto or the Central Valley. My only feedback suggestion is to introduce fountain drinks. Cans are fine but sometimes. I just want a refill lol Also, a little fyi, this place is a little pricey. There is so much to choose from! Now, I'm not a huge fan of arugula but I know the flavor can mix well and I wanted to try the Green Phantom as it just sounded so good. Yup! Sandwich was delicious. The chicken is moist and plenty of it, and the bread (I got Dutch crunch) was crispy and soft in all the right places. Ordered a large of the loaded fries- Shadow Sensai, again delicious moist chicken and the cheese and sauce atop crispy curly fries hit the spot. Staff was very helpful and courteous and my friends and I had a lovely time. Loved the superhero/character decor. Will be returning to try many more items off the menu! read more

I was curious what this place was about and I rather support a small business rather than a big chain. Excellent halal sub sandwhiches. I've been twice to their Modesto location and when I'm in the Bay Area I've been to their Hayward location. Although a bit smaller than the Hayward spot, the Modesto location does all the same things well. Service was top notch, and prompt. The Dutch crunch bread, with their fresh grilled/fried chicken slices and flavorful crave sauce makes the wait for the sandwhiches worth it. Really wish they would open up in Tracy/manteca area so I wouldn't have to drive to Modesto though. read more

On a whim, we decided to order a catering box from here to take to a potluck. We had never tried any of the sandwiches here but also loved that it was Halal and had Vegetarian options were available to accommodate the different dietary preferences of the guests. I ordered online and had my husband pick it up. They included plates, napkins and even a big handful of Charms mini lollipops. I wish I had taken a picture of the setup, box looked exactly as pictured online and the serving sizes were VERY generous. The sandwiches were a hit and delicious. We ordered the the Classic Large Platter that has 20 pieces. Got all 3 options, Classic Chicken, Classic Turkey and Classic Vegan on dutch crunch. Bread was SOFT and fresh, meat to veggie ratio was perfect and none of the sandwiches fell apart or became soggy. I managed to take a grilled chicken sandwich home and had it the next evening, still delicious and structurally sound as the day they made it. Highly recommend. No notes. I went here not expecting more than a regular sub shop. When I got the final bill, I initially thought the order was over priced. This was until I ate my sandwich. I went with the boom reaper which Od recommend to anyone who likes a little spice. The food was awesome and service was surprisingly attentive for a smaller sub shop. This is my favorite sandwich shop out there! I used to go to the Crave Subs in Hayward all the time when I was out in the Bay Area. Now my hometown of Modesto finally has their own location! I arrived during the grand opening and got myself a regular "Crave Star" sandwich combo. It tasted delicious! The employees are all very friendly and welcoming as well, making sure to check in on you to see how things are going or if you need anything! I also love how the place is comic themed as i'm a big fan of Marvel and more! Great music selection on the speakers as well. I got to speak to one of the co-owners Abdul and you can tell he really cares about his customers and business! I love deli sandwiches and this was my first time eating here. I got a pastrami sandwich to go, with 'boom boom' sauce, which was a spicy, tasty sauce. The guy at the counter was friendly and he made my sandwich quickly, and the food itself was very fresh and tasty.
