Ordered sausage pizza and was very disappointed. On the commercials the toppings look full and are piled up. In reality there were about 3 small pieces of sausage on each slice and in addition very little cheese. More like pizza toast. Come on Shaq you gotta do better than this. read more

Only gave a one star since you can't give them a negative one. ordered pizza for my son's birthday party two days prior to event, paid for the food online, then picked it up on the day of the event, then 30 mins later recieved a call from the store saying I owed them $45 more dollars because they couldn't close out the order on their system, the. was told I had to return them or pay the extra $45, how can they make you return food you already left with and had a paid receipt for, hopefully they didn't reserve the 10 pizzas they made me return. I LOVE Papa John's Pizza. It is my favorite of all the chains. I especially like that they're selling their pizzas for $10 now! Definitely one of the better Pizza chains in comparison to Domino's and Pizza Hut. I find the pizza's at the other chains really stodgy and the taste is not as good as Papa Johns. Papa John's is a lot more tasty, the cheese is good, the toppings are creative. Basically, the biggest thing that sets PJ's apart from Domino's and Pizza Hut is how flavorful the pizzas are. My wife ordered last night at like 5:30-6:00 just a large pepperoni and cheese pizza and I think some bread sticks or something. At 6:50 I show up and drive through and the guy tells me it hasn't even been started and it would be another 30-45 min. It was just him and another guy so I get it he is trying so I'll just say ok and come back. I gave the man till 8:11pm and got to the window to be told it's just him and he is sorry but he hasn't got to start it yet..... like I don't think he even remembered talking with me the first time... My wife had already paid online so I had her call up and get the money back because 2 hours and he hadn't even started my pizza is beyond crazy... so now I had the pleasure of driving all the way up to Hamburg to get McDonald's because this one here and town was closed... if the pizza would have been made I wouldn't have had to drive to Lexington and my kids would have got to have dinner before 9pm...... Came to get Two large pepperoni pizzas to dine in. Lady gave me a strange look when she brought them out to me. As a 700 pound man who could wear a DDD48 Bra if he wanted to I'm used to this. I still found this very offensive. After I inhaled the two pizzas I realized that wasnt enough to appease my rumbling belly. I orderd two more and the lady said I had, had enough and that she was concerned for my health. My tummy yearned for more So I did the obvious and bit her hand she screamed police were called and I spent a night in jail. This place is terrible The customer service is very poor, when I called to order a pizza, they put me on hold for 10 minutes and never picked up. I had to call back. I shouldn't have, because the pizza was even worse. I got a cheese pizza and it was disgusting. It had way too much dough, hardly any sauce, and the cheese was stale & hard! It wasn't even hot when I opened the box. There was only sauce right near the crust, and that wasn't enough. The crust was hard, & stale, and way too doughy. It tasted terrible. Domino's uses way too much sauce & theirs is soggy, and Papa John's uses way too much dough & obviously their ingredients aren't fresh because the pizza tasted old. Refused to deliver my food when I requested change for a $50. The Nicholasville and Lexington store I frequently order from have never had a problem with it. Especially since they are delivering to my work address. Just cost themselves a lot of future business from myself when I start to order from elsewhere in Winchester when buying lunch for my employees. read more

I think it's absolutely rediculous that you have to pay extra for more than 1 pepperoncini when ordering a large pizza. When I asked for extras, I was told, very rudely, that it was because of the economy and I should understand food prices have went up. Are you kidding me? I can understand not giving them out if they aren't requested and may just be wasted or thrown away but are we really supposed to all share 1 pepperoncini by cutting it into tiny pieces while eating our large pizza? Really? Papa Johns has always been my favorite pizza but I think with this kind of greed (when you consider John's business doesn't seem to be suffering so badly in this economy) I won't be back. To start with, the pizza was correct and good. No complaints on that, they are pretty consistent. Customer service on the other hand, just plain out sucks. I live out in the sticks so they don't deliver so I have to go and pick it up. When I went in to pick up my pizza's, the guy mumbled name. I said excuse me, what did you say. He looked at me like I spoke to him in German. I said again, what did you say. So I told him my name, he strolled back and got my pizza and dropped them on the counter. Told me how much it was, I handed him my debit card and he takes the card and the receipt, puts it on the pizza box and just walked away. I, feeling like a smart ass, grabbed my pizza, waved and hollered "your welcome" to the store. Obviously the management or owners don't read reviews for this store because any place that has reviews always has at least two negative reviews for the lousy customer service at this particular store. I personally will not go back there to pick up a pizza again. If their customer service was as consistent as their pizza, maybe a different story but not for me. I will drive to Richmond or Lexington to get my PaPa Johns fix. read more
