Or did they have it all along and I was just oblivious to it? Hmm. Well. Anyway. A couple times, the group of people I've been with suggested going to this location for some food. I'm glad I agreed. This location is actually.... nice. For a DQ. Clean, enough places to sit -- including a little room in the corner, friendly workers, and food. They have burgers, chicken, fries, typical fast food fare. And ice cream! I enjoyed my chicken -- it was actually GOOD. If DQ comes up as an option for some quick food in the future, I won't be quick to dismiss it. Plus the desserts are yummy.

Once we were seated we saw that she did not receive a discount. This was a minor issue so no real harm there. The restaurant floor was dirty and most tables still had crumbs, residue left from previous customers. The men's room had no air dryer and the towel dispenser was broken. The water in the faucet came out in a stream the size of a couple of #2 pencil leads. The food was good but everything else was a poor experience.

I've had their small sandwiches before, and even though they're technically a small size, they've always been very filling and generously made. Unfortunately, this visit was disappointing. The sandwich seemed like it was missing a lot of the meat that I'm used to receiving. There was only one layer of meat, and it just didn't seem like it was made correctly. If I had paid nearly $10 for this sandwich, I would have taken it back because I truly believe it was not prepared the way it should have been. The customer service at the drive-thru was also disappointing. When I pulled up to the window, the interaction felt very awkward. I could hear employees talking amongst themselves, and I felt like I was barely acknowledged. When they handed me my order, it was done without much interaction--no thank you, no greeting, nothing. It felt like I was an inconvenience rather than a customer. I understand that everyone has busy moments, but this visit was far below the experience I've had at Schlotzsky's in the past. I was excited to enjoy my birthday sandwich, but I left very disappointed with both the food quality and the service.

Jaylin was our super-awesome and very attentive waitress. We stared off with the chips and salsa appetizer (all you can eat). The chips were thin and fresh and the salsa was very full of flavor. (You can get this appetizer free if you sign up on the kiosk on your table or download the Chili's app -- which we did.) I had the Triple Dipper which is a choice of 3 appetizers. I had the Big Mouth Bites (2 cheeseburger sliders), mozzarella sticks (2 sticks), and the honey-chipotle chicken crispers (3 tenders). The burgers were tasty (but could use a pickle to my personal preference). The chicken tenders were cooked to perfection and the honey-chipotle sauce was very tasty with just a little bit of spice. Then there were the mozzarella sticks. Oh my goodness! First, the stretch of the mozzarella is insane! These things are so tasty that your tongue will fly out of your mouth and slap both of your ears to get every crumb! I can see why this is such a popular stand-alone appetizer! My wife had the Big Crispy chicken sandwich. (Hand-battered crispy chicken, pickles, mayo and a side of house-made ranch. This was served with white cheddar mac & cheese and fries. This was a huge piece of chicken on a very tasty (brioche?) bun. Very tasty. The Mac and cheese steals the show as a side. We requested the fries to be extra crispy, but they came out regular. They would have been much better if they would have left them in the fryer longer. Not crispy at all. (This was the only disappointing part of the meal, but not a deal breaker not to return gain, but crispy fries are always better!) There were quite a few other items that were very tempting including a Chicken Cajun Pasta and quite a few salad options. We will have to try one of these next visit. Lots of great looking dessert options too, but we were too full to consider those! Maybe next time!
