Red headed manager as well as one other manager are lacking personality. I worry about bodily fluids being put in my food. This is an ongoing problem. Remove the manager from serving customers. We ordered a biscuit that had sat on the warmer too long. My wife tried to pick off the soft parts but gave up halfway through. I took it to the counter and the manager said that it was half eaten and would not replace it. I plopped it in the counter and said then I'll just buy another one. She told me to throw it away and I asked if there was a trash can behind the counter. She got really nasty and refused to sale me another one unless I took it to the garbage. Instead of causing a scene I took it back and she sold me a fresh one. She was extremely hateful and rude. Didn't even apologize. read more

This is one of my dad's favorite places in Winchester. Come to think of it, he's loved Hardees everywhere. Those steak biscuits are literally a childhood memory of mine. My parents relocated to Winchester a year or so ago and It wasn't long after, Dad had already met and mingled with the regulars here. That's right, if you dine in, you'll see the same locals. One even came over and introduced himself to me. It definitely has that small town diner feel, even though it's as fast as fast food can get. I love their steak and biscuits! It's literally one of my favorite breakfast sandwiches of all time. They are usually running "2 for" deals. Right now, the steak biscuits are two for $3.50, the country ham biscuits are two for $3, and a variety of mix and match options for two for $4. They have a happy hour 2-5pm. Not like drink specials, but a fast food version, featuring the double charbroiled slider for $1.25. Speaking of burgers, that's the only thing that I don't like about Hardee's... their burgers seem to be dry and chewy, almost like they've been microwaved. The staff here is always pleasant, as is practically everyone in Winchester. One last mention... they offer both regular and curly fries. The curly fries are the bomb! I forgot this place was here. I ran through here one day on the way to meet some friends. They have a $5 meal box with tons of food in it and a drink with cookie. YUM. The wait was fast, the food was great. The hot dog was good but the bun...The bun was rolled flat as a tortilla and rolled around the dog. WTF? I think i have the picture still on my phone. Reviews of fast food restaurants that you eat at thousands of times are tricky. What is the standard? How do they compare to that place you visit twice while on vacation when you could probably eat a substandard meal and it would "taste" good because you were relaxed and at rest. Who has ever written that I have really enjoyed the ambiance of a chain fast food restaurant? So reviews are tricky in this area. I generally avoid Hardies not because of the quality, frankly the food tastes delicious. I avoid it because the calories are higher than at a few other fast food restaurants. Now I must confess that I have settled into a pattern of getting breakfast for the office at this Hardies. After years of getting a 300 calorie breakfast at another chain I have indulged in a 600 calorie breakfast at Hardies. Hardies has a Country Fried Steak Biscuit two for 350 plus tax special. This special has been going on forever. So long it is really not a special but a regular part of the restaurant. It taste great, it is filling and I am not gaining weight as I do not eat a larger lunch due to the fact that the meal is filling. Also, my Secretary gets to eat for free which is good for office morale. After eating breakfast here for months I only had one or two biscuits which were a little hard. Now Statistically this is near 98 to 99% delicious . Which is pretty good quality control. The wait in the drive thru is always fast. If you go at around 8am the drive thru line is backed up into Lexington Avenue sometimes dangerously blocking traffic. But the wait time per car is not long, just a lot of cars. Also I am impressed with their Covid safety precautions. Someday soon I need to go back to the lower calorie options at other fast food drive thru restaurants but for now I AM ENJOYING MY HARDIES BREAKFAST!!!!! So why 4 stars and not 5? Well I do think low calorie menu option would be nice. Also the line being so long it creates traffic safety concerns is an issue (It has been a problem for decades), and it has been years since I have been inside and I am not sure about that so I am hedging my bets and going Conservative. But really I love the breakfast here. My father refuses to get his breakfast any place other than Hardies so maybe I am getting older and slowly turning into my father? I don't know on that. Kind of scary. So if you need to get a filling breakfast for 2 for under 4 dollars stop by here. It is truly addictive. read more

By the way, this is the dingiest, nastiest part of Winchester; the rest of the town is really pretty quaint and scenic, with some interesting places to see and eat. It's Hardee's, what else can you expect? The service is excellent and the food is always fresh and cooked to order. Mornings are usually pretty busy as everyone is there for their signature breakfast. The restaurant is kept clean and the staff are always friendly and ready to help get what you want and get you on your way. Fries are made fresh in small batches, so you might have to wait if there has been a crowd, but for fresh fries, it's worth a couple minutes IMO. For a quick meal that's right off of Interstate 64 in Winchester, you can't go wrong here. read more

They have the best fast food burgers PERIOD, regardless of how dumpy their locations are. If you want health food, then eat at a smoothie shop. If you can find a modern Hardee's then you will enjoy the heck out of their Thickburgers. read more

This place wasn't busy so I decided to stop for a quick lunch on the way home from work. Mistake! I waited over 15 minutes for JUST a burger! An underrated restaurant. They have the best chicken tenders and burgers in Winchester. Hardees also offers delicious breakfast items, such as country ham and biscuits and biscuits and gravy; they also serve Ale 8.
