Piñata Blanca is a beef burrito with cheese dip and pico de gallo smothering the top. In addition to the burrito, it comes with a carne con queso bowl which is essentially a small, deep fried, flour street taco shell filled with ground beef and topped with queso and tomatoes. The dish also comes with sides of rice and beans. In typical Mexican restaurant style, my lunch came out of the kitchen quickly and was pipping hot. The dish was flavorful and plentiful. More than I should have eaten. I overate a bit! The chips were very nice. Warm, crispy, and slightly nutty tasting. The salsa was very good. Not to spicy, though I do love spice. Sometimes spicy salsa before a meal deadens your tastebuds for the rest of the meal. When my server, Jorge, brought me my bill, he was apologizing that he didn't visit my table enough to see how I was doing. There wasn't any issue at all in that department and I told him so. Jorge was super friendly, and a great server! Overall, I had a good experience at Pepe's Mexican Restaurant and for only spending $9.53 before tip, it was a great value!
