Wanted to mix it up and have a hog dog at 5 guys for the first time. I was shocked to learn that you can't get chili on your hog dog!? Something as basic and American as a hot dog, but they don't offer chili? They need to get in touch with the majority of this country. I had Five Guys in Miami over a decade ago, but frankly had no recollection of the burger. I ordered the cheeseburger with tomato and jalapenos and a regular Little Fry to take home. A burger is about the meat and, to me, too many toppings seem to offset the balance of the burger. You know the feeling of being surrounded by a food smell in your car, but you can't do anything about it, except maybe grab a few fries to hold you over? I often find myself frustrated with these types of places as I typically only eat them as a convenience/delivery option. They only offer delivery via third parties, then don't put all the food in the bag, then tell people to deal with it through the delivery service. If you aren't competent enough to put a full order in a bag and resolve it at a store level when you don't, don't offer delivery. The food we did receive was also incorrectly made. Just disappointing to have to bring up CC disputes/theft claims in order to receive a refund for missing items that should have been there in the first place. Five Guys is one of my favorite lunch spots, especially when I'm trying to cut down on carbs (which means, of course, no bun, fries, or shake). The online ordering system never fails me; my meal is always ready for pickup at the designated time. I love all the options that you can order for your burgers, from condiments (the normal stuff, but also things like BBQ sauce or A1) to grilled vegetables. You can even get an extra hamburger patty. The online ordering system even allows you to decide if you want each topping to be "lite", "regular", or "extra." It's awesome. You're also given bun-less choices of a bowl or a lettuce wrap. You can be very specific. And my order hasn't been wrong yet. It gets a little busy at lunchtime, but that's not a problem when ordering online (you just walk up to the counter and ask for your bag). Inside is clean and easy to navigate. You order at the counter and seat yourself; food was ready within 10 minutes. While I was familiar with the menu, I overheard the cashier explain it thoroughly and with enthusiasm to a first time family- a great lasting impression. Food came out hot. I visited this location on Monday April 24th, 2017 at 1230pm. I'm not big on the location. There's not easy parking access but not a big deal. I ordered a cheeseburger with everything and my son (11) ordered the same with fries. The place was busy, it was lunchtime, and the staff was friendly. Our order was quick, about 3 minutes, and the place was clean. My son and I agree that the burgers were very good but the fries were too salty. We got shakes for dessert. ( chocolate and banana/strawberry). The shakes were ok. Not much different than other places. The price for two cheeseburgers, one fry, and drinks was pricey at $20.52. I love them, but definitely not for the weak of palate. Ketchup does help, but only so much. Additionally, two people could probably split and small fry and have plenty.
