Food: This bakery is located behind the Sunrise Mart in Industry City's Japan Village. They offer a variety of breads, pastries, desserts, cakes, drinks, and even savory food. I've tried their cheddar mochi breads and hojicha latte. Both were excellent. The mochi breads are very similar to Brazilian cheese bread. The hojicha latte was delicious and had very strong tea flavor. Some breads and pastries look better than others, but there's a lot of variety to choose from. Service: Staff are friendly and welcoming. Ambiance: The bakery is spacious with two tables for dining in. There is a lot of seating right outside of the bakery in the outdoor seating area in the courtyard too. Overall, I would recommend this bakery!

Loved the old panya store in St Mark's area but it closed down during pandemic. So I was so happy they reopened one in industry city, next to Japan Village! They still sell most of their typical things but in a limited amount. I missed their Japanese strawberry shortcake so I had to come here! We got these to share: 1) strawberry shortcake, 2) keema curry pan, 3) cheese mochi balls, 4) sesame shortbread cookies. The strawberry shortcake was good but it didn't taste as good as it use to. Not too sweet & was creamy. Spongecake itself was soft. Keema curry pan - this was ok. Cheese mochi balls - it was also ok. Chewy, mochi texture, very light cheese flavor. Sesame shortbread cookies - I liked this the most as it tasted nice and the cookie was soft and crunchy. Friendly staff and limited seating inside & more seating outside. They sell other japanese pastries, sandos, desserts & beverages. Will come back to try their other things!

I didn't have much expectations for this bakery but I was pleasantly surprised! Came here to get a drink but walked out with a keema curry pan too! I thought the curry bread would be similar to Paris baguettes curry croquette (underwhelming) but nope! I air fried it once I got home and wow the texture is so good. It's like encrusted in lightly crisped particles?? And the flavor of the keema curry was also delicious. I would 1000% get it again. The mango matcha drink was a little disappointing but still quenched my thirst. The mango tasted like Costco's mango nectar drink, and when combined with the matcha, the flavor was a little muted. Would not get again but it wasn't necessarily bad. I saw other really interesting pastries in there like cookie croissant that I considered getting but since it was my first time trying the goods here, I didn't want to take such a big risk. I guess I will be getting more treats next time!

Was so excited when I found this place in Japan village. After visiting Japan, I miss the curry bread and strawberry sandwiches so much. When I saw they had these goods I immediately went in to grab some. The strawberry sandwich was just as I remember and the curry pan was so good too. It had some meat with a bit of spice. I definitely recommend it warmed up, which they can do if you ask they too. The other sweets are also really good. They are not to sugary so it's the perfect balance of sweetness, which was one of the things I miss from Japan.

went to japan village and hit up panya bakery -- let me tell you, this place doesn't play around. the bread alone could ruin your diet and your self-control in one bite. but the pastries? bro... they're on another level. the green tea tiramisu had me questioning my life choices -- light, foamy, fancy little red beans on top like it's posing for a magazine cover. paired it with a hot bowl of gyusugi udon, because balance, right? carbs on carbs never looked so good. Also the staff was very attentive to your needs. #japanvillage #panyabakery #nyceats #foodnyc #japanesefood #brooklynfoodie #udonlove #nycfoodie #greenteadessert #tiramisu #nycbakery #foodieinthebigapple2025 #nyfoodadventures #eeeeeats #foodstagram #dessertlover

A wonderfully sweet Japanese cafe located within Japan Village- Industry City. The aroma of baked goods filled the store as I walked in. All the cakes, pastries and baked goods looked so masterfully crafted- it's almost like a piece of art...well almost. I ordered a Vanilla Creme puff and an Iced Matcha latte. The creme puff tasted so airy and lite- without that heavy fullness. I truly enjoyed the Matcha latte drink and accompanied so well with my creme pastry. Was able to seat at the dine-in table to enjoy this sweet treat. Overall, a great addition to IC

I was so excited that they reopened Panya and it's in my neighborhood! I was so sad when they closed their East Village location years ago since I used to get all my birthday cakes from there. I always ordered the strawberry shortcake or the matcha tiramisu. This location has a lot of seating both indoor and outdoor. There's drinks, bread, pan, cakes, and cookies. I wanted to try their sandwiches but they don't have them until later in the afternoon. I bought the sukiyaki cheese pan, the spicy curry pan, and the matcha custard pan. They were all fresh and delicious. I'll definitely be back!

Radio Bakery is a very popular bakery in Brooklyn. This has been my second time and each time there…read morewas a line outside, however it moves quickly and the space inside is very small. Even though there is a line, you do not feel rushed or pressured to order quickly. On this visit we ordered plain croissant, chocolate croissant-fresh out of the oven, rhubarb croissant, black forest pastry and brown butter corn cake. The chocolate croissant was amazing. It is triple chocolate and cocoa powder is in the dough. It is filled with milk and dark chocolate, so creamy. The plain croissant was flaky and light. The brown butter corn cake was crispy and caramelized on the outside and soft and moist. The Black Forest croissant is a seasonal offering. It is made with their Triple Chocolate Croissant filled with chocolate cake and sour cherries and topped with mascarpone cream , Rhubarb & Custard Croissant . It is tart and sweet. The rhubarb is roasted and complimented with sweet vanilla custard. They all were excellent. Each were about $8. Highly recommend and don't let the line deter you .

It's also difficult to see all the items since everyone is packed in a line even when you get into the store. The food itself: - cardamom bun was yummy, a bit too cardamom forward though. 3.5/5 - the pb and J croissant was cool, a bit too rich for my liking but I admire how different it was and I actually had to save this one for the next day and it was still good so 4/5
