Whenever people ask what's my favorite restaurant in my neighborhood, Panino Rustico is always my answer. It is a casual Italian spot for panini, crepes and coffee. The owner and their staff are super friendly. This is a place that everyone will feel like home ＊savory crepe w. smoked ham, cherry tomato mozzarella and basil pesto For mains, I really love their savory crepes. The savory crepe I got this time was generously stacked with multiple layers of smoked ham and overflowing amount of cherry tomatoes. While for dessert, don't sleep on their sweet crepes (I like their banana nutella and cinnamon sugar). ＊bruschetta w. mozzarella, tomato and basil pesto ＊bruschetta w. asparagus, parmigiano reggiano and truffle oil Our go-to order is their bruschetta with mozzarella and tomatoes for sharing. The sourdough is perfectly crispy. ＊panini w. smoked salmon, goat cheese, red onion, avocado & truffle oil ＊panini w. grilled chicken, fontina, bacon, hot pepper, avocado, honey mustard Of course you have to try their signature panini with toppings of your choice! ＊spring mix with grape tomato, cranberries, walnuts, avocado, balsamic and olive oil Very refreshing. We added grilled chicken for some proteins. ＊iced mocha w. whipped cream Their iced mocha and iced cappuccino are also very authentic and delectable. Like a liquid tiramisu.
Love to see a place like this in an ever changing neighborhood. Went with a Proscuitto and fresh mozzarella panini with pesto and tomato. You got to choose the everything panini bread and when its toasted it adds that much more flavor. It was good and got the job done for lunch. I will add that its a bit pricey though with the panini and drink coming to $20 but in reality eating out is expensive these days anyway. The girls who work the front are friendly and the service is great. Definitely looking to come back and try some of their other paninis!
This place never ever disappoints been there twice within the last 2 weeks and have been going/ordering from here for years. Fantastic always , great bread great ingredients and good prices!! Def recommend
When I come back to the old neighborhood, I love stopping by for a bite at Panino Rustico, tonight, we had, Caesar salad, fresh, Burata with tomato and The veggie wrap. We were served by Mia, who was a delight, she was very quick and efficient taking our orders. The atmosphere was very pleasant. I give panino rustico five stars, if you live in Brooklyn or visit often I suggest you come here!!
I was craving crepes and saw that this was the closest spot that sells them. I wasn't even planning on ordering a panini but good thing I did. The crepe was okay, but that's not something easy to mess up. Let's get back to the panini. Ordered a P50. Steak, pepper jack, yellow cheese, bacon, red onion, and chipotle mayo, and it came with a side of potato salad (which i think you only get when you dine in). I loved how it had the perfect crunch! And it tasted so good!! Excited to try other paninis from here.
Thankful for local spots staying open and feeding us in this pandemic. Truly Grateful. We must have drove by this spot so many times but never got food from here. My only guess is - while working in the city - panini spots are a dime a dozen, and I usually pick up dinner in the city. COVID changed the way we live, the way we eat and where to eat. Had the opportunity to try a few paninis here and it was a hit for my family. Really love their roast chicken & broccoli rabe, porchetta & broccoli rabe (both reminds me so much of the Dinic roast pork & broccoli rabe sandwich in the Reading Terminal Market in Philly). Make it EXTRA - add the "everything" panini!!! - it's like a jar of the Trader Joe's everything but the bagel seasoning! So good!!! My kids love the chicken & bacon, and anything with prosciutto in it! We have this place on our dinner rotation when we just want something quick for dinner. So glad they stayed open and continues to feed this Bensonhurst community. #goodeats #theyelplife
I've been wanting to try the Paninis from here and finally got to. The picture attached is actually from my 2nd visit since I forgot to take a picture on my first visit. On my first visit, I ordered a chicken panini (forgot which one specifically). I felt out crunchy the outside of the panini was that I got too excited and forgot to take a picture, and after 1 bite I didn't stop till it was all gone. The sandwich was sooo good, perfect taste, perfect texture, perfect proportions of everything. The very next day I had to try another panini just to be sure that other items were good as well. On my second visit, I ordered a P33 (Hot pastrami, swiss cheese (but I switched it out for pepper jack instead), mustard, and pickles) to go. The reason why I chose pastrami was because I'm very picky when it comes to pastrami and figured this would be a miss. But I was wrong, this was also so good! Might be on a mission to try every panini here!
Always a treat when I stop by for a panini! The prices are a bit expensive but it makes up for it in that the portions are quite big and the ingredients taste fresh. I personally love getting any of their paninis with prosciutto. Also it's a MUST to get it on an everything bagel ($1 more). The bread is on the salty side but still worth it! My only feedback is that every time I get it, I notice the bread always gets quite burnt.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would, never ordering from here ever again. Ordered for takeout P38 (Grilled chicken panini with fontina cheese, hot cherry peppers, avocado and bacon) and W3 (grilled eggplant wrap). It's become clear not only does no one follow instructions, they also do not know how to cook. The eggplant wrap was drowned in balsamic vinegar which has specifications to opt it out from the wrap it was not even edible. The P38 panini, the chicken was raw, pink and cold to the touch. The first 2 bites I had seemed fine, until the 3rd bite I come face to face with a raw, cold, pink piece of chicken. Immediately I went to spit it out and ran to the bathroom to try to vomit. Serving raw chicken to your customers is disgusting, high health and safety issue. What if I was pregnant? This happened once in the past and still decided to give this establishment a chance. What a big mistake. Order with caution, or go elsewhere. Overpriced and expect to receive a special food poisoning to your meal. Hard pass, should be ashamed. read more
Seriously great spot. I came here with my boyfriend and my dog. They let us sit outside with the dog. The waiter was super sweet. He even brought out some water for my dog. We got the burrrata with fig sauce. Yummmmm! We split a grilled chicken panini with goat cheese and avacado. Double yummmm. We got the Nutella and canola crepe with extra Nutella. Everything was so fresh and delicious. Wait staff was super sweet and helpful. Would definitely go back. read more
Can't go wrong here. We order delivery a LOT. Always get the olives and bread ends. Nice to sit outside now that the weather is nice! I almost always get the E9. The A5 is also a winner. Love their drinks too (good coffee and tea). Also love their crepes. Like I said, can't go wrong with pretty much anything here. Service is also great every time. So glad to have this spot in the neighborhood! read more
A lot of my friends have raved about this place and I finally got the chance to try it out. I'm not really a panini fanatic, nor do I claim to be, but I know when food is prepared well and that counts for something right? First off before anything else, this place has got a great cafe-like vibe. Very homey and comforting for a casual lunch or a coffee, but at the same time the warm feeling you get here is also good for a date. They have a pretty extensive menu for panini sandwiches but I had this gut feeling that I can't go wrong with any of them so I decided to go for P20 and P24. The paninis were pressed and toasted to perfection with just a slight char. The P24 has imported prosciutto with smoked mozzarella, basil, and sun dried tomatoes all of which were very fresh and complimented each other very well. But my favorite of the 2 has to be P20 which has the grilled chicken, basil pesto, mozzarella, and roasted red peppers. I could be biased though cause I love pesto, but who doesn't?? After this first experience with paninis I now have a better understanding of what a great panini should be. Its not about having a multitude of overwhelming flavors. It's about having an outstanding Italian bread that can be great as a stand-alone, paired with high quality ingredients that complement each other with similar dimensions for that perfect bite. I can only imagine what the rest of their menu is like....or I can just taste everything they have. I think I'll choose the latter. read more
I ordered a P15 panini and at first it was amazing. As i got to the other half however I've realize theres a fishy taste. I decided to open up the panini and realize there is bits of raw fish. I am in my second trimester of pregnancy. This is not ok. I'm not sure if the baby will be affected it. I've ordered from here plenty of times and it never disappointed me until today. read more

Panino Rustico OVERALL: 8.1/10 Wow, a high review! Ding ding ding! This place is a hidden gem! It's in a quiet block.. They always have a decent amount of people inside. FOOD: 8.1/10 We got the crepe with prosciutto mozarella and ish, the chicken avocado panini and the barata with fig glaze... The crepe was AMAZING, I didn't expect it to be that good. It's a savory crepe and they didn't make the crepe too thin since we had to eat it so it's good. The panini on the other hand wasn't as good as when I had it last time. The barata cheese was something new, and it didn't disappoint at all. SERVICE: 10/10 Great service, everyone provides great hospitality and constantly asked us if everything is okay, etc. CLEANLINESS: 10/10 Clean ATMOSPHERE: 10/10 Great vibe to the place altho it doesn't look anything special, great place to talk. #food #panini #italian #yelp #review #nofilter read more

Seriously - if you want prosciutto in the worst way ever, this is where you need to be STAT! Panino Rustico was totally fun when we came here in the summer for World Cup, but last weekend when we wanted a panini, we looked no further. Whether you sit inside or outside, they have piped in Italian and Top 40 music playing in the background. The wait staff of youths are friendly and pleasant; never had an issue with memorizing an order. Be sure to ask what they recommend - that's how we got suckered into dessert - the apple crepe that tasted like a warm apple pie, with vanilla bean ice cream on top. You can totally share this, and the portion is more than fair; same goes for their soups. Sound outs to the beef barley! Nice, thick broth, and the veggies melt in your mouth; excellent! The panini I had was grilled chicken, with fresh mozzarella, and broccoli rabe - amazing! My beau opted for the porchetta with the same fixings, and that was cut beautifully thin and was savory. Take your time glossing over the menu, unless you are willing to share; sharing is welcome! read more

The panini was amazing! I am huge on toasted bread, but not so much on deli meats, but to my surprise, it was far better than I expected. We ordered P12, P20, and P35, and P35 was by far the best of the 3. P35 had turkey, bacon, avocado, and the basil dressing. Usually, I'm not a fan of turkey meat, but I was blown away by how well the layers went together. The basil dressing was wonderful and when paired with the avocado, it moistened the turkey and melted in my mouth, creating a really smooth and pleasant texture. The crisped bacon provided a contrast in textures--and honestly, bacon makes everything taste better. If the panini was 2% insufficient before the bacon, the bacon completed the deal and kicked it up a notch. It was definitely one that I would make the commute to Brooklyn for again and again! The other 2 we ordered was alright, but definitely lacking in comparison to P35. The goat cheese in P12 was not to my liking, but goat cheese is one of those ingredients that is an acquired taste. The sun-dried tomatoes were really fragrant--by scent alone, P20 was definitely a winner, but for me, it wasn't enough to pull the entire sandwich together and elevate it the same way P35 was elevated. Overall, this place is definitely worth trying!! read more
Delicious paninis! It's a small cafe located in an Italian residential area and I could definitely feel the Italian vibes once I entered the place haha. Service was very nice. The waiters constantly went around asking diners if they needed anything. There was also a guy who forgot his CD's on the table and one of the waiters actually went outside to chase after him to give them back to him! I got the Panini with grilled chicken, mozzarella, peppers, arugala, and pesto and thought it tasted amazing! All of the ingredients complimented each other really well and the bread was not too tough to chew on. It's about $10 for one panini but it's definitely possible to split it into two meals so the price is not that unreasonable. This place sort of reminds me of Lioni's Italian Heroes (which is close by...) because the sandwiches are so good! Definitely recommended if you're in the area! read more

Walked in today since this place was chilling in my bookmarks for a while, and since it's close by I figured why not? Soo glad that I came in to finally try this place since I know that this won't be another place that I'm crossing off my bookmarks and forgetting. Although they are well known for their paninis, don't hesitate to get their savory crepe. It truly is SAVORY & cheaper ;). I ordered the last one down the list (fontina, turkey, basil sauce) and from start to finish it was delicious. These crepes are shaped like a rectangle as opposed to some cylindrical ones that you might see/eat. From the outer crisp corners, you can taste how delicious the batter is. From the middle, you can taste generous chunks of turkey and cheese. The basil sauce they put on top is lip licking good & I wouldn't mind if they did a few more squiggles of that on my crepe. I also had a bite of my boyfriend's panini (proscuitto, mozz, tomato & basil pesto sauce). It was a great panini, but I still prefer my crepe over his. Also had 1.25 mini canoli's to finish off and they were great. P.S. I think the online menu prices might be cheaper than what it actually is. P.P.S They have really cute local & regular customers who sing along to the music playing read more

Yum! Cute eatery with outdoor seating, tasty savory and sweet crepes among several other options. The wait staff is very pleasant and prompt. There are alcoholic, nonalcoholic, coffee and tea and several juice options. I'm definitely planning on returning to try some of the pastries and sweets. Totally recommend the crepes! read more

I usually get my bagels from here as they are super soft and do not skimp out on the cream cheese. However today, I found what seem to be a green string baked into my bagel . That's extremely irresponsible and unsanitary especially during times like this. The staff should be more careful. read more

Coming home from a long day at work, my husband and I decided to order from this place for the first time and I gotta say, it was absolutely delicious! The bread is everything! It's great, crunchy and fresh. The only thing we regret is not ordering a 3rd panini. This is definitely a place you wanna try. read more
