Fantastic, Fresh Food! You will not be dissappointed! Even though their paninis are pretty pricey for Bensonhusrts, they are so tasty and fresh. Their salad portions are also huge. I also LOVE the fact that they offer whole wheat bread. My only complaint is that the staff should ask you whether you want whole wheat bread or regular. They don't do that and so I forget to get my panini with whole wheat bread. Also, they don't ask whether you want your salad dressing on the side when you get an order to go and then my salad gets soggy by the time I get to eating it. Came here on a Friday evening and it was practically empty, which is nice since I was hungry and hate waiting. The staff here are so nice and extremely attentive! They looked as if they enjoy working there, which is a breath of fresh air! I ordered the P11 (turkey w/ red peppers) on whole wheat bread and it was amazing! The P11 is probably one of their simpler panini on the menu, but even with very few ingredients, the sandwich came together perfectly. We also tried their sweet crepe (apple cinnamon), which was also delicious! Both items arrived onto our table very fast, which is perfect for anyone who hates waiting. I really like the fact that they offer so many options on their menu. Really makes you want to go back and try out everything! It's also nice that their food isn't too expensive. The total for my boyfriend and I came out to about $30, which isn't bad considering we came out full and extremely satisfied. We will definitely be coming back here more! Came for lunch with my Hubbs and 3yr old diva - sat outside so she can run around without getting in anyones way. She loved it! I had the smoked salmon panini and my husband the prociutto pesto - AMAZING! Fresh, hearty, and oh so delicious. The waiter was so friendly and catered to our little girl - danced with her, talked to her, and brought her a perfectly made grilled cheese sandwich. I cannot speak for the restaurant, I had a COVID-19 delivery via grub hub. What I will say is that the Roast beef panini I bought, Mom had a grilled chicken with arugula, sweet red peppers, pesto, and mozzarella on everything bread, was as advertised. It was plentiful, fresh, and still warm when it was delivered. Taste was good. Mom enjoyed hers as well, although she did say her sandwich was a little light on the pesto. I would definitely order from Panino Rustico again, but I probably wouldn't use the everything bread. The multiple flavors took away from the taste of the roast beef. Love their paninis but my favorite is the smoked salmon one while my sister has her own loyalty to #P35 on the menu. Price is decent for such a large panini, most times I have to share it unless I'm really hungry. This place is cozy and the service is great. Wish they can improve their appetizers though, bruschetta is an antipasto that no italian place should make less than great, but they need to work on their grill time for the bread, ironic since they are a panini store! The interior was very inviting and the workers were pleasant. Which was already a plus in my book. We ordered the P20 (grilled chicken, mozzarella, roasted red pepper, arugula & basil pesto) and the P37 (grilled chicken, bacon, pepper jack cheese & ranch dressing). Both sandwiches were very good. The chicken was moist, the bread was crisp everything was fresh. Traveling from Long Island might be a bit of a journey but I can't wait to try more items from their menu. Small little cafe located on 17th ave. Great place for breakfast, lunch, brunch, desserts, or just plain oh coffee. I've been to Panino Rustico twice so far I've enjoyed both visits. Everything is extremely affordable and service is great. Everyone is just so friendly there! It's CASH ONLY but they have an ATM available. Although it's a small cafe they also offer outdoor seating. A cute neighborhood place. The porchetta was a bit dry and would definitely have been helped my some more olive oil or pesto. The imported prosciutto with mozzarella, tomato, and pesto was much better. But overall, it was a pretty average sandwich. It also came with some salad on the side with a pesto sauce, which was nice. I was stuffed but did not stop me from getting the crepes as they looked so good. We split the apple cinnamon crepe. There was no way I could finish entire one on my own. It came out warm. The apples with a hint of tart and some confectionary sugar and cinnamon. Along with that we had the cappuccinos. The atmosphere is friendly and casual, they had sports and food network playing. It was a nice lighting for the evening. They have clean restoom. I've been meaning to come here for the longest time because it's about the only cute place you can casually sit and eat outside within the neighborhood- the next option being mona lisa which is kind of meh to me.
