Pangea has a menu that I can eat everyday. However, I already had dinner when I passed through here but I couldn't resist trying the kabocha pumpkin soup. I've never heard of such a thing. The soup almost eats like mash potatoes and I see quinoa and onion in it. It was delicious and very inspiring for my own recipe development. I literally can eat this menu everyday! Casual. Inside seating. Main Street location so parking is via street. Service was fast. Please come and create your own adventure.

Pangea, East Main Street, Ashland. Very friendly!

We dropped in for a quick bite, before our play, and found Pangea on Main Street is a real gem! We greatly enjoyed the German Potato Soup with Bacon ($7.50/cup), the classic Split Pea Soup ($7.50/cup), and two very generous and delicious wraps, the Teriyaki Chicken ($14.99) and the Grill from Ipanema, with Chicken ($14.99). The folks behind the counter were friendly, fast, and packed plenty of napkins for our to-go order (Thank You, Orion!). The restaurant is small and quirky, in the best of ways, and the uni-sex restroom was clean. The food is the real Star of Pangea, and I am looking forward to returning tomorrow. Five Well-Deserved Stars. // Oh, and be aware that the City of Ashland adds a 5% Food and Beverage Tax to your ticket.

Did a DoorDash order for Pangea to get lunch to-go before embarking on a long car drive. While looking in the app, one of the wraps- Tangled up in Blue- was not showing up in the app. After a quick phone call with the restaurant, one of the servers was equally as stumped about why it didn't show up. She quickly came up with a great solution that I would order a different wrap that had the same price and make a note in the comments and she would take care of it. Lo and behold I was able to get my Tangled up in Blue after all! It was very nice of them to go the extra mile to help get that sorted For the record- the Ranch Blues (and the sandwiches in general) are better than the wraps in my own opinion but as far as how clean I could be in the car, the wrap was the far better choice. Pangea still reigns as the standard lunch venue in Ashland

A friend of mine insisted that I come here. We had just left SOU and needed a casual, relaxing lunch! Great little place to come to. The lentil soup was delicious! The French Kiss panini was good, a little more brie would've been great cause it's my favorite. I loved the ginger lemonade! So refreshing! The staff is friendly and chill and made the whole experience very zen. Definitely worth coming to for a quick meal!

The young lady that took our order was so pleasant. The wraps we had were tasty down to the last bite! This is not a sit down and get served restaurant, you place your order at the register. It is a fairly small place, but definitely worth a visit.

The best little sandwich shop on Main and it is open on Mondays! I was starving and needed to find a quick bite. Happened upon this unassuming gem which was open and serving both take out and in house dining. The menu was posted out front. I BnB ordered the "I'll have what she's having". Totally yummy panini. Chicken and veggies served on the most delicious panini roll. Toasted just to perfection. I also added chips and water. Now we're talking' Everything was delivered quickly and nice and hot. I highly recommend this special spot on main.

German potato and bacon soup

Only stopped in to get some soup. They claim their soups of the day are on their Facebook page. But it wasnt for today (10/27). So, had to visit in person. They were offering 4 soups. I went with the German potato and bacon. This is a cream based soup, like a tradition potato soup. It was pretty good. It could have been a little bit thicker, but it was not really runny. The flavor was good. A lot of small pieces of bacon and a lot of taters. The only disappointment is the price point. $7.50 for a cup. That's a little extreme. But I get it. Touristy town. "inflation". The young lady taking orders was pleasant. They were going through some computer issues but she tried to stay positive.

Gimmie the Greek wrap

Cute cafe with delicious and healthy food! Lots of gluten free, dairy free and vegan options. I got the Gimmie the Greek gluten free wrap with chicken and a gluten free vegan lemon basil cookie. Would definitely get both again and looking forward to coming back next time I'm in Ashland.

Since I only had time for about one meal in Ashland, and there are so many interesting sounding places, it was hard to pick one. I chose Ruby's because there is a diner by the same name that I love in Santa Barbara. Also, the menu looked decent on Yelp. The chipotle chicken sandwich featured marinated dark chicken meat topped with fresh tomatoes, red onions, and coleslaw. The flavor of the chicken and the coleslaw was so bomb, and complemented each other perfectly. The bread was kind of like a small French roll. Very soft, fresh, and tasty. It didn't come with any sides, but the price was reasonable, and just the sandwich was enough for me. The inside of the restaurant was very small and cozy. I had planned to go outside when my food came up, but I was so hungry, and it looked so good, I ended up devouring it right there. I barely even had time to snap a pic of half of my sandwich at the "Forever Alone" booth where I was sitting. Staff was friendly and the ambiance was quirky but cute. As a plus, this is a great area to just walk around and explore all the local stores and scenery for a few hours or so. Would def stop by here again if there weren't a million other great sounding places to explore within a quarter-mile radius.

We were hungry and in a hurry. This spot was perfect. It's at the north end of town, just a short jump off the freeway and you don't need to go through the crowded downtown area. My wife had a mushroom omelette and I had a pastrami sandwich. It came out fast, looked good and tasted perfect. I really needed a sandwich like this one. A busy service staff really took care of us and we left happy . Boy we will remember this place for sure. Be sure to check for business hours.

All this is to say that I was primed to enjoy the Breadboard. Great setting and views; in addition, the staff were friendly and pleasant. I ordered their omelette Olé, which was fine. But their home fries were flavorless, and one of the keys to a good diner is having your potatoes dialed in. Nope. I ended up at a counter, because they were busy, and the table service was sticky. Eww. Not uncleaned, but an old surface that has absorbed years of dirt and grease so that no rag will correct it. A bathroom wall was also sticky. Time to close down for a few days, get a crew in there to sand some surfaces down and restain or paint things. If they did that and paid more attention to their nondescript potatoes, they would earn five stars from me. But when the counter you serve customers at is sticky and uncared for, what must the kitchen be like?

The ambiance alone is great for spending time with your bookstore purchases. The service was friendly and quick. It was just the one guy when we were there, making coffees and running into the kitchen to make food. But it didn't take long to get our order. The kids had a steamer and a hot cocoa. They were a little warm for immediate drinking so maybe specify if you want your beverage less than normal hot for kids. The cocoa also had a bit of a cinnamon flavor to it. I thought it was delicious, but if you have a purist cocoa drinker in your party, again, ask! The adults drank drip coffee. It was tasty too! If you are staying in, you will get a ceramic mug, so if you want a paper cup let your barista know. The big win for me was the menu of gluten free pastries! They had regular glutinous things like burritos and quiche that looked tasty but the gluten free!!!! They partner with a bakery in town (sisters sans gluten) to have a variety of offerings. I had a poppyseed muffin, but they had other breads and muffins that all looked good. The offerings change, but I was so excited to see gf options at all. Highly recommend this spot! Also!!! We had a great meal at The Noble Fox! Parking isn't super easy nearby, so if you are already parked…read morein a lot or structure, stay there and walk. It's just off Main Street. We went in at dinner time on a Thursday. We were seated right away without a reservation, but you can make one online. I could see them being busy on a weekend or a busier part of the season. There are tables for groups from 2-6. They also had some pinball and other games in the back (as well as some board games in a side room). We didn't find out the ins and outs of the games, but it makes it feel like a place you are welcome to stay at for a while. They had a great kids menu. Our girls both wanted pizza and the observant server recommended they share a pizza because they are not small. It was accurate and kept us from having a whole leftover pizza, even though the prices were reasonable and it would have been a good value. The two adults shared the spicy cauliflower from the appetizer menu and the quesacarnitas tacos. Both were seasoned well, very flavorful, and all around delicious. The cauliflower wasn't super spicy, but it was super tasty so we weren't mad. The place is a brewery but we had cocktails. My husband said it was the best margarita he had on our trip and tasted like it was made with quality ingredients. My Paloma was also good! Overall, we were super pleased with our visit. Gluten free items are marked clearly and there is also a gluten free bun and pizza crust to choose from. Highly recommend before or after a play or a day of shopping in the Main Street area of Ashland.

So I have to open this up with a reason to why I had to come here on my wife's and I road trip. She…read morereads a lot and she sometimes gets the audio books and says "YOU NEED TO LISTEN TO THIS" So the legends of thezmarr by helen scheuerer is a fun story I got hooked on and my wife loved that we can talk about it so it makes it that much more fun. There is a tavern called "the laughing fox" so I told My wife we need to go here or Kip would be anger (Kip being the character that loves going to that tavern) she did not get it at first but when I did the hint hint wink wink she understood me. Needless to say ... The Noble Fox not only filled the fun of the book they also came through with how Delicious and amazing of a place it is. I was sad they did not sell their cups with the Fox on them or hats... I would have been all over it... lol Now the review The Noble Fox is an amazing resource that matches the vibes and of the clever and tempting Fox. They have indoor and outdoor seating. They allow dogs on the patio and the views and comfortable nature is amazing. We were hosted by Aarron and he was amazing, made sure we had what we needed and was considerate to every question. He was great for suggestions and overall hosting is such an important characteristic so we appreciate you . The food... I'll be honest we planned on just having. A drink and some fries... but the menu was just too intriguing especially to a couple that loves to cook. Soooo my wife got the harvest salad and I got the fish and chips. The fries were amazing... they were seasoned and cooked to perfection. We could not stop eating them. The harvest salad my wife enjoyed, we enjoy good salads and the berry and chopped seemed like something we have had before so the Harv had some unique takes with the dressing and fresh toppings. She enjoyed it but said it would be more amazing paired with salmon. Which is unfortunate because she was just recently deemed allergic to it. The fish and chips... just get it.. don't question it just get it... most fish and chips just focus on the lemon, salt or tartar to give the fish flavor... nope... the noble Fox understands the fish and batter need to be pre seasoned then seasoned after . The batter needs seasoning and I just need to say that fish was not going to survive my plate. If there was a second one I don't think it would survive the place. Arron also read my mind. Their tartar sauce was delicious...but he opted for malt vinegar and that was the end of it all. Overall the Noble Fox will be a destination stop for us every time we come down this way. It's an amazing little spot and there is a lot on the menus that brings fun and unique flavors in. They have great service , an arcade room , a private game table room and a welcoming environment. Also if you read the books ... you have to go ... what would Kip do?
