    Jerk Chicken Pasta

Yeah yeah yeah yeeeeeeeeah! Hey ya'll! If you don't know about this spot, let this be your introduction. Been ordering from this establishment for a while. When I say never disappoint, BIG NEVER!!!! I can't front, all I eat is the jerk chicken pasta. Any given day, anytime it's the same great tasting Beal when I order it. The service and quality is superb! I've never been to the location, but my delivery has always been A1. This is a must try spot, if you don't know. Wifey loves their oxtail and rice and peas. Don't sleep on this spot. Oh et me know what ya'll think.

I went to Pan Fiyah during lunch hours since I was in the neighborhood and had heard good things about this restaurant. The atmosphere was welcoming and not crowded at all. The cashier was friendly and introduced us to their $10 lunch special. I ordered the jerk chicken pasta, which came with festival bread and a soda. It was a great deal for the price and very filling. While the cashier was friendly and the lunch deal was a great value, I did expect the pasta to be more flavorful, especially for a Caribbean spot. Unfortunately, it lacked the seasoning I was hoping for.

05/24/25 - The food here is pretty good--flavorful and well-prepared. The service was average at first, but it seemed to reflect the mood of some of the other customers, who weren't particularly friendly or enthusiastic. With that said, if you're patient and positive, it's definitely worth the wait. I am very outgoing, and my interaction with Mikayla really turned things around. She ended up being a pleasure to talk to and even recommended one of her favorite dishes rasta pasta for our last dish. One negative is the service fees they charge. We will be back. We had: Jerk Chicken & Shrimp Pasta - VERY GOOD Jerk Chicken And Pork Platter w Sweet Plantains. - Good but pork was very dry and tough. Habanero Fried Chicken w Rice & Peas. AMAZING!!! Extra side of Rice And Peas Rasta Pasta - Good Cookies - Not good at all.

Going there you gon wait a minute for yo food. Ion blame them cuz it comes out hot and fresh. I had the jerk pork pasta and it was so delicious I couldn't put the fork down till it was finished. Next time I'll get the jerk chicken pasta or try the mango habanero chicken plate. They are busy so make your order quick while you on that phone so they don't skip over you, or leave you hangin. And their ETA is accurate. So if they say 20 minutes, they mean it. Here's a picture of some of the jerk pork pasta I devoured! I'm only taking off one star because they can be quite pricey. Definitely in that $40 range if you want more than just an entree. So I'd just stick to a $12-19 entree if you're eating on a budget. Portions are pretty fair. Inside it's not too much going on, wish they had a bathroom for when you're waiting though.

It's been a while since I've eaten here so I decided with give it another try since they're under new management. I ordered a jerk chicken pasta with extra chicken with xtra pasta/jerk sauce. The chicken is the star of the platter every single time no question asked. Pasta could definitely use some work, the pasta sauce at the was barely anything so the extra I purchased was needed to complete the platter. Jerk sauce a banger as well. Inside the establishment is a lot smaller then it was before so if your order isn't ready it can get packed quickly

If you're driving a larger truck, be aware that parking is available but pretty tight. Once inside, we were warmly greeted by the host, who was incredibly friendly and escorted us to our table. Our waitress was just as wonderful--attentive, personable, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. There was music playing everyone there was enjoying themselves. Since it was Tuesday, we both ordered the all-you-can-eat fried catfish special for $21.99. They start you off with hush puppies and coleslaw, and when your meal arrives, you get your choice of a side. We both chose the fries. The portions were generous, with plenty of crispy fried catfish on the plate. The fish itself had great flavor, was perfectly crispy, and wasn't over-breaded. The hush puppies were delicious, and the French fries were cooked just right. My husband, who considers himself a bit of a coleslaw connoisseur, really enjoyed the coleslaw. I wasn't as impressed with it, but that's just my personal preference. My biggest disappointment was the tartar sauce. For a restaurant that's been around as long as Catfish Dewey's, I expected a homemade tartar sauce. Instead, it came in a pre-packaged container and tasted overwhelmingly of onion. Unfortunately, it just wasn't for me. If I were rating everything individually, I'd give the catfish a 7/10, the hush puppies an 8/10, the fries an 8/10, the coleslaw a 5/10, and the tartar sauce a 0/10. Overall, we enjoyed our visit, especially the friendly service and the crispy catfish. While it wasn't the best fried catfish we've had, it was still a good meal. As I always say, don't let my opinion make your decision. Everyone's taste is different, so go try it for yourself and form your own opinion. You might love it!

Hence the 4 stars instead of 5.

For mains, my wife got the deep fried haddock sandwich on a gluten-free bun with a side of sweet potato fries, and she was thrilled she didn't have to sacrifice anything to eat gluten free here. I went with the Prime burger topped with truffle cheese and upgraded to the truffle parmesan fries, which were phenomenal. This was our first visit, and our server James made the whole experience even better -- attentive, knowledgeable about the GF menu, and made sure we felt taken care of the entire time. There were some customers there, but the place still felt very empty and honestly a bit boring. It was very quiet. There was music playing, but we could hardly hear it. The TVs were on, but with no sound, which didn't help the atmosphere. We were seated in the booth area where the other guests were. They had a 2-for-1 drink special, and the waitress was friendly and helpful. She let us know we didn't have to order the same drinks for the deal, which was nice. I ordered a passion fruit margarita, but it didn't taste like passion fruit at all. More tart than sweet. I didn't love the flavor, but I will say the bartender was definitely not stingy with the liquor. My friend ordered a Bahama Mama and had no complaints. I'm not a big seafood person, but I do love wings, and that's where Crafty Crab won me over. I ordered the 10 piece sweet chili wings, all flats, for $10.99, which alone is enough to bring me back. The wings were hot, fresh, and flavorful. My friends also enjoyed their lemon pepper wings and drinks. We originally came because we heard they used to have karaoke on Thursdays, which would have been perfect for the size of the venue. When I asked the waitress about it, she said she didn't know why they stopped. That's unfortunate because this place has so much potential. It's a large venue with good wings and cheap drinks, they're really just missing a vibe. Even playing music through the speakers would make a huge difference. Overall, I'd return for the wings and drink specials, but I hope they bring some energy back to the space. Based on this experience l'd give it a 3.5

As odd as it is to go during the day and have brunch, I would say it is the move. You pull into a plaza where everything else is closed except for this business and say hi to the security guard stationed at the entrance of the place---at 11 AM---to walk into a lounge beautifully decorated with green walls, floral accents and a disco ball. It is clear that the majority of patrons come much later in the day, like after 9 PM, to get bottle service listening to a DJ or any other performer. This would explain why the air conditioning was cranked so high, to accommodate the bodies and electricity that would pack the place much later. Our server didn't crack a smile but immediately brought us water after we asked and rounded back twice to take our order. Like I said, going during the day when there are only about 5 other parties dining seems to be the move for prompt service and food preparation. The dishes came out super hot and fresh. The Creole Seafood Omelette ($26) was chock full of well seasoned shrimp and lobster and cheese, with a creamy roux on the side that was good to occasionally dip a bite into but wasn't necessary all the time. The potatoes that came on the side were just the right amount of crispy while leaving some heartiness to them. The Fried Chicken and Waffles ($26) included flavorful fried chicken with breading that didn't quit when you tore it or cut into it. The cool part of this dish is the choice you have of the waffle it comes with. The Cookies and Cream Waffles should be your go-to. They were topped with the chocolate cookie sandwich crumbles and a great homemade vanilla icing. For a Lauderhill establishment in an area where you really don't know of anything else happening, this place is worth a venture out for your brunch. I'd go back to try the other items and drinks!
