Always enough almond milk! (Or quickly refilled when there isn't enough.)
Madison K.

There's a cute little old guy who exclaims "Ah! There's some of my friends!" every time we come in. (And when many other people come in as well.) The first time I ever saw him, he was talking to a middle aged blonde woman who was wearing expensive casual clothes. He was so gushy that I had to work hard to keep my eyes from rolling. As soon as she left, the smile dropped from his face, his voice went to guttural and almost scary, and he let loose with a string of expletives and descriptive phrases that one might hear in a basement before being tortured and killed. It was endearing. It's also the reason I don't give this location five stars-- you might not have found it endearing and I think of this place as his spot. He's part of its charm. Other than that, this is a pretty basic panera. None of the newest machines as of yet. A good range of seating options and clean restrooms.

If you like watered down ice coffee this is just the place for you! Otherwise go to the Lagrange Park Nice staff.

Stop in after running a few errands. This is only my 2nd time eating here at Paneras. They have like mini laptops where you can place your order take a buzzer and find a table. After your order is ready the waiter brings your food to the table. Nice The wait wasn't long but the prices are overrated just for a cold sandwich soup and cookie. The atmosphere was cozy and it wasn't crazy busy with people. Nice music and a nice place to just sit with a laptop and relax. Friendly staff The food could be a little better for the price. A meal you could prepare at home

1/2 and 1/2 Mac and cheese that wasn't even full and a roast beef sandwich with 2 pieces of meat!! Burnt bread!!

Some of my favorites are the chorizo breakfast wrap, the roast beef panini, and their signature Italian wedding soup. My wife and I usually add a side trio to get some greens in as well, which is always a great complement to our meal. Service is straightforward. You order up at the counter, grab your number, and find a seat. Just a note that it can get busy on weekends and during peak lunch hours, so plan accordingly. In addition, they also have a full coffee bar if you're in the mood for an espresso or specialty drink. Solid lunch spot that we keep coming back to. I'm a fan. 'Til next time, cheers!

My latte was mediocre at best. It wasn't very flavorful, and it wasn't very coffee forward, so I wonder if they use less shots of espresso than is standard or less strong espresso. The thing that bothered me most though was that the barista swirled my drink in front of me, it splashed all over out of the top and sides of the lid, and instead of fixing it or apologizing (or even just acknowledging it!!!!), he proceeded to hand it to me and said "have a great day!" I walked over with my baby in tow and cleaned it up myself. It was SO odd to me. The space is bright, there are plenty of seats, and parking is easy. Such a shame that I didn't like the actual latte more! :/

Sweetgreen is my Go-To for when I'm In the office and want to fuel my body with "better for me…read morefood" that also tastes good. I love that the Oakbrook location is conveniently located. It's also always clean when I come & the staff is super friendly. I wish I would have gotten the young lady's name who made my bowls today because she was amazing. I'm a creature of habit and the Harvest Bowl is what I'm getting 90% of the time. Today's bowl was super fresh (as always) and very tasty! I like to swap out the roasted chicken for the blackened chicken. That's another thing I love about SweetGreen is how seamless it is to customize your meal! The ONLY reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because ya girl HATES an onion. And my sweet potatoes today are giving a pinch of onion flavor. I'm assuming someone prepped the onion then prepped the sweet potatoes. Nevertheless, the bowl is still great and I'll def be back.

I got the steak mezze, and the flavoring was good, but i think the steak was old? I did order an hour after opening ors o, but the steak was a bit tough and chewy, just seemed old. Otherwise, I thought the flavors were quite good. the rosemary foccacia was delicious, and i recommend getting that with your meal. The price is a little higher than I'd like, but at the same time, they do seem to have better quality ingredients and also make everything they provide compostable, which I'm sure has some added cost as well, so that may justify the slightly elevated price. In terms of service, they should clean the tables more often throughout the day to keep the area inviting.

Staff was really friendly too, didn't feel rushed or anything. I ordered the hot chocolate and... wow. First thing, the size. I've never seen a cup that big at a coffee shop. Pretty sure it healed my soul right away. Taste wise, super smooth. Nice and hot. Had light cinnamon notes that show up after a sip. Not overly sweet either, which I liked. Creamy texture, almost like melted chocolate but lighter. They even did latte art on top and served it in this artisan cup. Looked way too nice for something I was about to destroy in five minutes. Came for chocolate, left spiritually repaired. Honestly might come back next time my soul needs maintenance.

The avocado was hard I ended up taking it off of the breakfast sandwich. Willing to give their other food items a try though with all things considered. On the other hand, the coffee was good. They have a variety of matcha option flavors, which I liked being a matcha fan. Tried the pistachio latte and have to admit I was a little disappointed the presentation wasn't as nice as the photos on their page though. I will give them another try if I'm in the area again.

I had the red pepper and cheddar quiche -- delicious! It was light and fluffy and came out in great timing. The salad was crisp and fresh, and the dressing was light -- just enough. Service was great and the entire staff was super friendly. I will definitely be back!

First and foremost - everyone I interacted with was SUPER KIND, and I really liked some aspects of…read morethe experience. But for a premium price, I expect premium product, and this place is rough around the edges in ways that feel easy to fix. I'm pointing them out in hopes they'll be corrected. First the positive - the food was pretty good. Not great for the price, but pretty good. Drip coffee was better than most diners/cafes in the area. The ambience was pleasant. Here's the issues. 1. The furniture needs a refresh and I don't think the place has even been open that long. The side tables by the window are losing their finish - a fragment of wood got caught under my finger nail as I was sitting down and just lightly grazed the table with my hand. I also brushed away a few additional flakes coming up. The chiffon curtains are charming until you look closer and see they're speckled with food from past diners. A moss ball decoration in the bathroom is missing half its moss. All of these decisions speak to choices made for asethetics as inexpensively as possible rather than a clean dining experience. 2. Value for money and food quality are also an issue. $20 for one slice of sourdough cut in half, a rather overdone French omelette with sour cream on top (not mentioned on the menu and a weird choice) a bowl of fruit I wasn't interested in rather than a choice of free side, and sausages I paid extra for, is not good value to me. The bread was good! The omelette was mediocre. The sausage was very solid, had a slight funk to it that I liked and suggested to me it was made in house - but 7 dollars for two sausage patties is absolutely wild. I would suggest Milkstop rethink the combos on its menu to include more and be priced a touch more transparently. 3. Finally, service. Everyone was VERY KIND, again, want to stress that, but service was slow and rather inattentive for most of the meal. The place was only half full, but water and an initial drink order were slow, and I waited for a while for the check while the staff chatted amongst themselves in the corner of the room. Not trying to be a dick, the life of a service worker is tough, but the place was mostly empty and I noticed they already charge a 3% service gratuity on your orders, so I'd expect a little better. Basically this place has a very charming surface with some wonkiness around the edges. I will definitely come back again but guys, come on - ditch the gross chiffon curtains, for both our sakes.
