I was on my way home after dropping off my neighbor and saw this submarinse place. I decided to purchase a 12 inch tuna sandwich. when I came home I gave half to my son and I took the other half. when I went to eat the sandwich it was a mouthful of mayonnaise. I was surprised that someone would put that much mayonnaise on a sandwich than when I went to open the sandwich I realized there was no tuna in the sandwich. I called and they said they would refund my money or give me a new sandwich. I live about a half hour away but I will be picking up my neighbor from where I dropped her off. This was very disappointing and can't believe someone would sell a mayonnaise sandwich and advertise it to be a tuna. read more

A definite upgrade to my last review! We were throwing a birthday party for both my girls and my eldest chose her favorite, roast beef submarines from Mr. Submarine. At first I was conflicted about the amount of King subs to get, as they have party pics of 5, 10, or 22 king sub sandwiches. Their prices are definitely reasonable! My husband convinced me we needed the 22 sub plan(we didn't) which was $135. This included tax. The staff was very professional when ordering over the phone, so it was a very smooth process when I picked up the sandwiches. They even had staff carry it to my car! The bread was so fresh and delicious and all my guests enjoyed the variety. For a party of approximately 16 adults and 10 children I definitely wouldn't recommend 22 subs. Especially when you have accompaniments such as baked pasta and various chips. We ended up with around 9 full size left. However, Mr. Submarine's exceptional service, price, and taste where what stood out for us. Highly recommend ordering for your next party/gathering! read more

I love Mr. Sub. I have grown up eating it, and missed it when I moved for college. It's open late and has cheap good food. The bread is Turano which is baked in Chicago everyday so you know it's fresh. They put way more meat on their subs then any other sub place I have been. This place is as good as it gets. Why you ask? I'll tell you why ~ 1) Food is tasty, these sandwiches will fill you up too, not like that Subway. 2) It is clean and looks exactly the same as it did in the 80s. Nostalgia rules!! 3) The same guys have been there forever. 4) It totally used to be THE place to hang out on a late Friday or Saturday night! 5) They have RC on tap... heck yeah! It's surreal to come in every so often (i.e. anytime I pass by the area), see the same guys working there who were there in the 80s.. it looks the same, its nostalgic and is kind of like walking into a time machine. Always have loved coming to this place when I'm ready for a great meatball sandwich but today I mixed it up a little and tried out the fried shrimp. This is my least favorite of the Mr Submarine locations that I go to. The last 2 visits have been awful. This time I waited in the drive thru for a couple of minutes before pulling up to the window, since no one said anything. Then I'm greeted rudely because I haven't ordered yet. I am told that some other customer who wanted more money back and his credit card wasn't working was issue, that's none of my business or concern. I was there 15 minutes just for a chicken salad. This is the real deal. This is my favorite sub place, and that's no small feat. The regular size Mr. Submarine sandwich, garlic fries, and a soda is the best cold-cut combination out there. This specific location is my favorite because their service is unrivaled, and they have crinkle-cut fries (which are the best cut for the garlic flavoring). Ok so heard some good things and then you get one employee with an attitude who doesnt want to work and you get bad reviews. This plaNoce is near work thought I'd try it. I'll admit drove an hour in my truck and had to shut down by law after 8 hours got there with 7 minutes till 2pm. All signs say theyre open. Employee comes out bringing food to car and says something to me. Have to ask what he said he says we're closed. I said oh the signs all say your open thought you were open till 2am as i continued to the unlocked front door . No we close at 155am. Lol yeah im sure they got that on your door.
