Is ZERO stars an option? I get Panerai is a chain, but this particular one needs help. Nothing like picking up some overpriced soup for a sick loved one to be treated like an idiot. There is a kiosk where I entered my order, paid, and picked up the buzzer that let's me know when my order is ready. Then I waited...and waited...and waited. The buzzer never when off. When I asked about my order I was told that I needed to put my order in again and if I was double charged, then I could come back and have one of the orders void. Well, I need the food, so I guess I can spare another $25 dollars and come back for them to fix their nonsense. But wait!! Another employee heard out conversation and said the order has been ready for some time. He said "yeah, we called out TV multiple times and no one answered." That's reasonable considering how I never entered my name anywhere and MY NAME ISN'T TV!!! but I guess, I'm the idiot. So remember the rule, just pick up any order at Panera because names are irrelevant. Oh, and the food was cold. I'm sure it's implied by my post, but just in case someone from Panera actually reads this, nothing can be assumed. read more

I've been to this Panera countless times and have never had a problem until today. They were very backed up on orders and I understand that. We were waiting for 35 min past our pick up time. We had to get going and we still had 20 orders before ours was made. I called the phone number and asked to speak to an associate or manger. I believe it was a manager named Tammy. As soon as she answered the phone she seemed very rude. I just wanted to cancel my order so they didn't have to make my order and waste the food. On the phone she made me feel stupid and overall had a horrible attitude. I understand stress bring out the worst in people, but you should never be rude to a customer that is trying to help you out. It felt like I was committing a crime for asking them to cancel my order. However, the associates that were preparing food were extremely nice and apologetic. I believe this might just be a manager problem because the staff at this location is always very nice. read more

I tried the new flatbread pizza, very delicious; good for me, as my favorite takeout pizza place changed their dough recipe, and I can't do it after three times, it tastes undercooked; this Panera pizza is large, fills me up; everything tasted so fresh, I was so pleased. read more

Im not crazy about it but my girlfriend loves there greek salad. I dont see why people love it so much, its kind of blah blah for me. I know most people have been to a Panera once or twice before, so a review--ehh not too necessary. I would like to say though, I used to go to the Panera up in RTC (Reston Town Center) religiously for lunch, and I loved their staff, super spot on!! This was back in the 06 though. Ordered 3 Bacon Turkey Bravo sandwiches, 1 with avacado. 2 did not have any bacon and there was no avacado at all. To top it off there weren't any pickles. Not that pickles are that big of a deal, but how sloppy. If I have to unwrap and check every order before leaving the store, what's the point of ordering online? Have ordered from here multiple times physically in the restaurant. Since we have delivery to our home now we have been doing that. For the past three times I have ordered from there there has been at least one item missing, or my order has things wrong with it. Today we had 3 complete sides missing from our order. Not too difficult to make sure orders go out correctly with every item! Will not be ordering delivery anymore from here. read more

Not the best service. I placed an order for rapid pick-up and it stated it would be ready by 8:15. I get there about 8:17 expecting to grab my food and go. I stand next to the station and the manager asks what I'm waiting on and she says okay they're making it now. About 5 minutes later I'm still waiting, an employee comes up an asks what I'm waiting for, STILL standing next to the rapid pick-up station. She then tells me "oh your foods been waiting on the counter, the counter in which people are dining in." I don't know if the employees are being too lazy but it would be helpful if you put a sign up stating "May be at dine in counter if not at rapid pick-up." And then on top of that, I don't eat pork and I got bacon on my sandwich. read more

The food is pretty standard for Panera. The staff are incompetent. If you order for more than two people, they will mess up the order. The last time that this happened they tried to have the correct items delivered to us. What was delivered was also incorrect. When we called the manager said she was making a note for us to get a free meal for our next order. Today we called to get our free meal, and to order food for three other people. It took 15 minutes because they for some reason couldn't add the free meal to our Panera membership. When I arrived to pick it up, they hadn't started making it and no one could tell me where my food was and it wasn't on their board to make. I am very disappointed in this panera. When we go in we expect 5 star customer service. If I could give this Panera no stars then I would because my experience was very bad. First, others were prioritized before my order. All elderly people were served before me even if they got in after me. Secondly, the manger was very rude when my order didn't go through to the computer which was a problem for them to solve. My bank account was charged for my order and she was very rude to me when I was explaining what happened to me. She said that I had to order again when my bank account was charged. When I ordered online at 12:25 my order was supposed to be ready at 12:36, so we went to go pick up our order and waited until 1:05 to get our order. Waiting for 40 minutes for 2 orders is ridiculous. read more

I came in here during a very busy lunch time. The service was great, the gentleman taking my order was polite and courteous. The food came out pretty quickly for being so busy. Parking was a bit difficult as it was super busy but there is plenty of parking if you are okay with a little walk. The food is delicious and they have a great menu selection! read more

I have heard of Panera Bread in passing, but only on my recent trip to Virginia Beach have had the pleasure to stop in and sample their products. Given the fact that my family and I got there 10 minutes before they closed and they still treated us with the utmost respect and amazing tasting food; I eagerly await my next encounter. I don't usually go to Panera as I prefer to patronize locally owned and operated establishments. However, I reluctantly agreed to meet a friend there for lunch today. It was just okay. The Chicken Chopped Salad with Avocado had a reasonable amount of chicken and avocado, but was lackluster and not particularly fresh tasting. My friend felt that they had made the bread bowl for soup smaller than the last time she was there. Plenty of bread but not very much soup. Panera is certainly a better choice, health-wise, than other fast food places, but there are many other restaurants with higher quality food and nicer ambiance. read more

Food was good but the people were snappy with us, my friend ordered a plain bagel with cream cheese and was given a cheese bagel without cream cheese. then the people refused to give her cream cheese because she didn't pay for it technically which i understand but they were rude about it. they didn't tell us nicely that we didn't pay for it it was like we should have known and were stupid for not knowing. I love Panera Bread and think they have great food and iced tea. My main complaint about this location is the attitude of one of the workers. The people who take your order are always friendly but the guy who works at the counter where you pick up your food is miserable. He doesn't smile, say "here you go" when he puts your food on the counter or even acknowledges you when you're standing there. He put my food on the counter and I looked at him with a smile and said thank you. He looked at me then looked away. He couldn't even smile or say you're welcome? That is just rude! I have experienced his poor attitude three different times and I just don't understand how no one else has ever complained about him. Out of all the Panera Breads in Virginia Beach, this one is my favorite to come to. The food is not only always delicious, but the presentation of the food is great as well. I've never had a lazy prepared meal here and I'm always excited to eat here. The service is always great-the people working register are really polite and helpful and always answer any questions about my meal, while even making a few suggestions if i'm unsure.
