You'd never guess that this good of a place is tucked away in a strip mall. We were greeted and sat right away, even on a busy weekend afternoon. It's mostly booths and tables in the back with high top tables and a bar as soon as you walk in. Tons of seating, surfing vibe and decor along with the menu. Very kid friendly.

The food is OK I wouldn't recommend any mixed or specialty drinks maybe just beer from the tap or a bottle everything came out quickly seated quickly. The live music was nice.

My family and I went here tonight for the first time and the food/service did not disappoint! We were especially excited about these SUPER crispy tater tots! Our server Cheryl was friendly and attentive. The new owners made sure to come and chat with us as well. We will definitely be going back.

My boyfriend and I went here for dinner and it was very good!!! Steak wrap was juicy and the rice was spicy but not too spicy it was perfect and flavorful. I feel like the wrap could have some type of extra sauce but it was really tasty and menu prices were good. We will be back!

Here from California, probably the best place we have been. The customer service is 5 star. We arrived before opening and they sat us in a booth and offered us a drink before the kitchen opened. The food was incredible. We had the steak bites, chorizo queso , bang bang shrimp, Phili chicken. Everything tasted so incredible. The servers check on you. The cocktails are amazing. My favorite was the Blazin mamacita. We will be back when we come back to VA.

We came here because it was on Diners Drive Ins and Dives. We started with the chorizo queso (no pics because we demolished it). The chips were homemade and huge and crunchy. I got the special of the day which was two pieces of beer bartered mahi, coleslaw and sweet potato fries. Everything was delish. But I had food regret. My boyfriend got the shrimp and scallop Cajun pasta and it was to die for. The cream sauce was spicy but manageable. And the scallops. Holy hell were they perfect! I also had a frozen mango margarita which was sweet and refreshing and so yummy!

I don't give five stars after one visit ever, but this place deserves it. Menu is A+, service is an S ranking. Took some mushrooms and came there, and man. Whoever owns this place is managing the shit out of it. They have people cleaning tables a son s people leave. A guy must've overheard we needed a togo box, and brought it before our waitress, and he brought one like 30 seconds before her, but she was an excellent and informative server. The salmon pasta was perfect, the shrimp and corn fritters were great. The salmon tacos were great as well. I will definitely be coming here to experience the rest of their menu.

Best jalapeño margaritas!! Our server Parker is such a cutie !!!

The food is amazing! The service even better !! Ask for Parker ! The food is delicious , they even put my drinks into to go cups !! The ambiance is classic upscale bar food !!!

What can I say, this place is most definitely 5 stars to me. One of my favorite places to enjoy one of my favorite meals. I came here years ago for the first time with a friend. Afterwards, I brought back everyone I know. Family and friends! We've celebrated birthdays here. The staff is always so down to earth and friendly. Very attentive throughout the entire stay there. I always get the white cheddar chicken salad wrap and it is consistently delicious every single time. Their sweet potato fries are the best!

Grilled Chicken and Shrimp Burrito $15 and Firecracker Burger $12

I've had this place bookmarked for a while and just tried it out the other day. I hate to say that I was really underwhelmed by it! Every picture on Yelp looked so appetizing, but my experience wasn't that great to the point where I would think to come back. My bf and I visited around 5:30PM on a Saturday evening. Usually, I would expect any restaurant to be pretty busy, but we found ourselves to be one of two parties inside (there was a pretty busy bar and few outside, but still a little weird). This is on the corner of a shopping center, and there is plenty of parking located right in front. The first drawback was the fact that they said we weren't able to mix and match tacos! They looked so good, and they even advertise on the menu that their BBQ Fish Tacos were featured on Food Network's Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives ... but you have to get all three. Kind of ridiculous, if you're paying the same amount and it isn't that hard to make three different items as small as a taco, but whatever. I ended up getting the "Grilled" Chicken and Shrimp burrito. The chicken was super dry, nothing about it tasted grilled, and it was in fact pulled chicken. There were maybe 4/5 shrimp, bland rice, two small slices of avocado, drenched in white queso and a small amount of pico de gallo on top. Would I pay $15 for it again? Definitely not. It lacked flavor, and made me wish we had gone to a real Mexican restaurant. (Which BTW, they offer chips and salsa on their appetizer menu for $6!! Crazy) My boyfriend got the Firecracker burger, and the only good thing he said about it was that it tasted like it was actually grilled (versus cooked on a stove top). Not sure if they do or not, but it was a pretty average burger and not worth the $12. Overall, it was super bland and definitely not worth the price point they were charging. I would much rather get real Mexican food or a place that actually serves quality burgers.

It was brand new & the woman tending the store was friendly, energetic & passionate about the food she was serving. I ordered jerk chicken but she insisted on letting me have a taste of everything on the menu. Everything was delicious & I now had a new obsession- the sweet coco bread. For years after that whenever I was around I would pop in. I've since moved to GA and been living here for almost ten years. Any transplant will tell you sometimes only family & food keep you tethered to your home state. So happens this wknd I was in town for my sisters wedding & got my hair done a couple blocks away from Island Krave. As she finished up I placed an order on Uber eats, really excited for this meal- something familiar & missed. To see how the quality & care has declined truly hurts my heart. The portion of meat they served me was actually disrespectful to people who work hard for their money & choose to support a small business. These pictures are after they added some. If you're going to chop it to smitherens you need to measure it out to ensure the portions make sense. Anyone that cooks can tell you this is a thigh at best. & this is a $17 plate. I don't want to talk down on the place too much it's just sad how much of a let down the entire meal was after I felt like they threw my stuff together thinking it was being delivered and they wouldn't have to look me in the face. The Mac was good & the flavor of the chicken was as well. Cabbage mushy & salty. Rice is not yellow. & apparently $5 gets you one slice of coco bread now (I got two bc of my troubles, ha!) Idk I hope they can figure it out but personally I would never spend another dollar in this place.

When you can take simple beans & rice and create something so delectable, you know this is top notch. The steak was well cooked, the chorizo was Smokey and delicious and the beef & chicken was packed with flavor. While the kitchen was quite slow tonight, all of the servers were so kind and attentive. And the food was well worth the wait. While it was a quiet Monday tonight, it was clear that some nights are probably a party! Lots of room, looks like opportunity for live music which looks fun! The regular beef empanada was good. I do wish we had known to ask for sauce. I've noticed much much later really way too late. The other tables had sauces and ours did not so I am sure the empanada would've been even better with some sort of sauce. The sampler was OK. It was basically the same thing sort of repeated three different times and three different breads, but the breadsall tastes the same they were just different shapes. I wasn't a big fan of the chicken that was shredded inside, but my son loved the cheese sticks. The best were the tacos. Hands down I would skip the other items and go straight to the tacos. They were absolutely delicious. And there was definitely enough rice and beans with the one to go around. Service was OK. They forgot about us for a long time and they never offered the sauces until the very end when I saw the other tables had it and I asked for some but at that point I only had one taco left and we had eaten everything else. They weren't busy either because we are early birds when it comes to eating. It is definitely authentic and I would try it again, but maybe just be more cognizant of what's available.
