This was our first time visiting this establishment. It was ok, we enjoyed our waiter he was nice and very attentive. The food we ordered was good, hot, and fresh. There were barely anyone there upon our arrival. People started coming in after a little while. The food took a while to come. This establishment needs an upgrade, the booths looked old and the atmosphere was more of a Chinese restaurant versus a Jamaican, soulfood style restaurant.

I've always enjoyed Montego Grill, the food never disappoints and always tastes great. Last night, we called in to place an order for two Jerk Chicken Dinners. Since my boyfriend doesn't eat pork, we inquired if pork was in the Greens and they told us that they don't put any meat in their vegetables so he ordered the Greens and Mac & Cheese with his dinner and I ordered the Candied Yams and Mac & Cheese with mine. When we arrived to pick up our food, the restaurant was very clean and had a few people dining in. Our food was ready as soon as we arrived. Their Beef Patties were on display and looked very appetizing so we ordered two of them. The cakes also looked mouthwatering so the lady suggested we try the Carrot Cake. We spent about $45 for everything which wasn't too bad. Since we wanted a light amount of jerk sauce, they provided the sauce in separate containers for us to pour on our chicken. My meal came with about two legs, a thigh and another smaller piece of chicken but my boyfriend's dinner seemed to have mostly chicken backs which included more bones than meat, he was not very happy about that. The Jerk Chicken tasted amazing though. The Jerk sauce wasn't too spicy and the chicken was juicy and flavorful. The Mac & Cheese wasn't all that great and I didn't enjoy the Candied Yams, they needed more sugar. The Greens also weren't that great and had a sweet taste to them. The Beef Patties were a 10/10 and even though the lady said they were mild, they still had a very slight level of spiciness to them. The Carrot Cake was also pretty good but it included raisins, which I hate, so I had to eat around them. When we return, we will definitely be checking our order if we decide to do "take out" to ensure the pieces of chicken are sufficient but overall, the chicken was wonderful!

"If you knew betta, you'd do betta!" $25 for "these" 5 sides (rice, plantains, mac & cheese & yams)! Is this EVEN two ounces!!! C'mon Montego! Not a good look. Fix this.... Quick, fast & in a hurry.

I decided on a whim to give this place a try and it was a good taste of flavor. I especially enjoyed the collard greens, more than usual. Super flavorful and delicious. The steamed cabbage threw me off since it had peas and carrots in there. Now I normally don't eat it that way nor did I expect, but it would've been nice to have it listed as a veggie mix if that's how it's normally served. The jerk chicken was good, but was super cautious to enjoy since the sauce was quite an abundant amount and was dripping all over the rest of the items in my bag. I had to wipe down everything before I could eat. I would suggest offering a little, some, or a lot of sauce option OR put the sauce in a separate sealed container. That way it doesn't mess up the rest of the bagged items or your cloth car seat during transport. The DG Kola was delicious as well. A nice meal to end the week.

This has always been my go to Caribbean restaurant in this area. I went on two separate occasions and the food was what I remembered. The Jerk Chicken has heat (you have been warned). The large Oxtail plate was a bit disappointing for the portion size and the price. Still delicious though.

I walked in, and the entire room seemed to stop. People turned and stared. I smiled at a few of them, hoping to break the tension, but they just kept staring. I sat down at the bar and waited quietly -- five, maybe ten minutes. I had no problem being patient as I understand bartenders can get busy. But while I sat there, I watched her serve others, chat with regulars, and even tell one that she'd just given him some fresh drinks. She continued cleaning her bar but never once acknowledged me. Not even a "Hi" or "I'll be right with you." Then she poured herself a Red Bull into her personal cup, walked right past me, and struck up a friendly conversation with the man next to me -- loud and casual -- asking if he was "golfing this weekend." That made it clear: she wasn't going to serve me. As a BLACK veteran, that moment hit hard. This bar, with all its patriotic décor, made it clear that their version of "supporting the troops" doesn't include people like me. I didn't serve my country to protect ignorance or racism -- especially not from those who wrap themselves in the flag while looking down on others. This place can take their support and shove it where the sun doesn't shine.

As soon as we walked in, the music was playing and a few people were shooting pool. This is definitely a locals' spot with a laid-back, no-frills vibe. It's also very smoker-friendly, so if you're not used to that, it takes a little adjusting. I grabbed a drink and ordered some wings, while my friend ordered the fish dinner. The wings were okay, pretty much exactly what you'd expect from classic bar food, nothing fancy. After we ate, we picked a few songs on the jukebox and ended up having a great time hanging out and listening to music. Overall, Mike's Breakroom feels like a true neighborhood bar where everyone knows each other. The staff was great and welcoming. The fun ambassador at the door was nice. He checked id's as we entered. There were a few open tables so we got cozy and played a few songs on the digital jukebox. It's $1 per two credits or $10 for 24. I think because the tournament was going on the music volume was lower than usual, but still cool. I ordered fish and chips, my sister got cheese steak, and my friend got wings. My fish looked good. It was a little bland but I'm glad they gave me hot sauce and tartar sauce to help. It was fried hard like I requested. It was ok. The coleslaw was flavorless, but we're in a bar so I didn't expect Michelin star food. Lol. The fries were a little overcooked. My sister enjoyed her cheese steak, she said the pickled jalapenos made it pop. My friends wings were simple but decent. A little extra lemon pepper seasoning would have took them up a notch and gave them more flavor. We stayed a few hours and enjoyed ourselves. It wasn't so loud that we couldn't hear each other talk. So that was a plus. They have a few dart games, pool tables, and a quarter pusher game. The staff was friendly. It's a neighborhood bar so you'll see the same people normally. A decent time for sure. I'd return!!

We started with the Spam Musubi (6/10) big chunk of rice and a small sliver of spam, wasn't a fan of that. The Skewered Chicken (9/10) was fresh and hot and a decent amount to share. For our first round of drinks we had the Swizzle (10/10) strong and yummy and the Blue Hawaiian (8.5/10) it was sweet and tasty, not too strong. We also tried the Blackened Mahi Mahi Tacos (4/10) they were dry and even after I asked for extra sauce, I still wasn't satisfied. Either the fish, the slaw, or the sauce had a weird tangy after taste! On the side I had some Macaroni Salad (10/10) that was yummy for sure! Second round of drinks we had another Swizzle and a Tiki Island (9/10). Overall, I loved the vibe and atmosphere of the place. It's great for date night, but I wouldn't come back for the food. I was def left disappointed. I would; however, totally come back for drinks. I saw they have live band nights, I'd love to come back and see how that is. My overall rate of experience : 8/10
