As soon as we walked in, the music was playing and a few people were shooting pool. This is definitely a locals' spot with a laid-back, no-frills vibe. It's also very smoker-friendly, so if you're not used to that, it takes a little adjusting. I grabbed a drink and ordered some wings, while my friend ordered the fish dinner. The wings were okay, pretty much exactly what you'd expect from classic bar food, nothing fancy. My sister and friends decided we'd meet up at Mike's for a chill night since there was nothing else to do. The crowd was laid back. It was a pool tournament so that was a little vibe!! The fun ambassador at the door was nice. He checked id's as we entered. There were a few open tables so we got cozy and played a few songs on the digital jukebox. It's $1 per two credits or $10 for 24. I think because the tournament was going on the music volume was lower than usual, but still cool. I ordered fish and chips, my sister got cheese steak, and my friend got wings. My fish looked good. It was a little bland but I'm glad they gave me hot sauce and tartar sauce to help. It was fried hard like I requested. It was ok. The coleslaw was flavorless, but we're in a bar so I didn't expect Michelin star food. Lol. The fries were a little overcooked. My sister enjoyed her cheese steak, she said the pickled jalapenos made it pop. My friends wings were simple but decent. A little extra lemon pepper seasoning would have took them up a notch and gave them more flavor. We stayed a few hours and enjoyed ourselves. It wasn't so loud that we couldn't hear each other talk. So that was a plus. They have a few dart games, pool tables, and a quarter pusher game. The staff was friendly. It's a neighborhood bar so you'll see the same people normally. A decent time for sure. And everyone pretty much that I've talked to in Mike's have been super chill, laid back shoot the s@!t kind of crowd. Will definitely be back. The food is alright my mom always gets the swai fried hard lol it's not bad. I had the Philly cheesesteak you can get chicken or steak. I had the steak Philly it's was ight. Trash, I get a drink and sit at the bar that 2 older lady's let me have, I get a Busch light and I'm sitting there minding my business when a female and some male sit ext to me. I said hey and she immediatly asks me to buy her a shot in which I reply "no I'm not going to buy you a drink spice you're with him". She says they are not together and I tell her no again and then she proceeds to throw her drink in my face and we are the thrown out of the bar. We walked in the back and found a non smoking room but again had no idea if we could sit down because it appeared to be a private party but not one worker attempted to clue us in.... I've been visiting other bars recently, and I no longer go to Mike's Break room. The place is almost empty, all the time. The best thing they had going for them was their awesome bartender Josh, but on my last visit, even he has moved on. There is just nothing going on here. Inland reef down the street has more action/pool/Poker leagues/tasty menu. Tailgates Sports Pub has more class (non-smoking too) with different events nightly. I don't have a high level of expectation for sports bars but Mike's unfortunately didn't meet that low bar. Service is okay, I guess. There were 3 servers and they all seem to work as a team to serve the customers. They've worked there for awhile and they know a good amount of the patrons, so they definitely go out of their way for them. I've only been here a couple of times - this is maybe my first or second time here since it became Mike's (it used to be an A.J. Gators, I believe, and something else before that) and I've never felt very welcome. I was helped by all three servers and none of them were rude or mean, just... lacking. Since I was there during the NFL games they only offer a limited menu of basic bar food. I think the quality of their food is my biggest issue since I ordered their boneless wings and they seemed more like chicken fingers. You could tell they were of the frozen variety, and to boot they were overcooked and very dry. They served crinkle-cut fries - normally a safe option but they did nothing for me, either. One of my friends wanted to hit this spot up because apparently they make some good tacos. But they don't serve it during NFL so we missed out. I guess if I come back when there's no football I can give those tacos a try, but why bother when Tailgate still serves their full menu during games? I only go to mikes for the fish tacos the absolute best so big so satisfying yummy the drink wasnt bad either depends on the bartender i guess no complaints there but my biggest complaint is the smoking OMG when i left an got in my car i smelled like i just smoke 8 cigars and 20 cigarrettes its ridiculous they have to do better with that . i like they played bingo my sis actually won 5 bucks so yall keep that goin but get that smoking out of there or put the smokers in the back because the front door is the first impression a customer gets and that smoke will turn them around at the door so instead of non smokers in the back switch that around and i think yall be ok keep the fish tacos just the way they are .i might come get one today happy cinco de mayo read more

We ordered from Mikes on Friday. Their menu looked good and with the positive reviews we were excited to try a new local restaurant. Unfortunately that is were the good ended. We wanted to order the fish sandwich, we asked if the buns had seeds on them because the person who wants it cannot eat seeds. They told us that all of the rolls had seeds and recommended the more expensive fish platter. The buffalo chicken sub and the smoked sausage, peppers and onion over noodles. We placed the order at 11:30 for curbside pickup and we were told that it would be 30 - 40 minutes. I had a call at 12:30 so we had plenty of time to get lunch and bring it home for lunch. We called at 12:10 to let them know that were there. They informed us that it would be an additional 5 minutes as they were backed up. No problem still have plenty of time. At 12:15 it appears that someone was going to make a delivery they stopped by the car and told us that the kitchen was slammed and our food will be out shortly. Fast forward to 12:45, the driver returns and sees us still there. He goes in and comes out after a minute to give us our food. He had to go back in to get the bill. When he comes back we says here are a couple of drinks for our wait. It turns out the sandwich comes with a drink so the couple of drinks turns out to be one. Plus if he didn't do that then we would have not received the drink we were suppose to get. We got home 12:50. I am now 20 minutes late for my call. But still try to put our best foot forward and we are anxious to try the food. First thing that we notice is that it is barely warm. It must have been ready much earlier but no one brought it out. The second thing that we notice is that the chicken sub roll doesn't have any seeds on the bun. WTF, were we purposely misled to sell a more expensive lunch? The buffalo chicken is not a chicken breast with buffalo sauce. It is pulled chicken with buffalo sauce mixed in. It was ok but not a lot of flavor. The smoked sausage over noodles was inedible. I love this bar, I have been going to this bar for a long time now. The food is amazing no matter what you order, most of the people that come in there are regulars so there is always a familiar face to see, the atmosphere is the greatest out of any bar I have ever been to, very clean, lots of entertainment, trivia on Thursday nights, dart tournaments, Poker, Queen machines, and now they have have Powerhouse machines with a full bar in the back room. I do have to say I am really disturbed about a situation I witnessed on Friday November 13th.
