I don't know what's going on with this location. We love Panera, but everytime we have tried to go to Victor, NY there are serious issues. The dining room has been filthy the last 4 times we have gone (over a year stretch) and we have had to clean off our own tables before we could sit down to eat. One time the dining room had no heat. One time the bathroom had NO toilet paper. Another time they were slow to send food out because they were waiting for dishes to come back?!The final straw last week was getting there to a line out the door because they couldn't take orders at the counter and everyone was trying to figure out how to put their own orders in at the kiosks. It seems there is a serious lack of management at this location and although this is the only location anywhere near us, we won't be back. read more

Jean Matteo was super nice. I grabbed a coffee in the early morning. You could see he had genuine connections to his regular customers. If I lived nearby, I think I'd go inside for pick ups. Seeing him brightened my day & made me kind of grateful I'd pulled out of the long drive thru line instead of waiting outside & went inside instead. read more

After seeing multiple ads on the television for Panera, it had to be one of our first stops when going out of town. We have visited this Panera many times before. My husband and I had two different meals and the best part of the two meals was my bread on the sandwich I ordered. I believe this rating could have been better if there wasn't staffing issues as we overheard them say to another patron. I believe the staff were absolutely wonderful that were working. However, the dining room was not cleaned, leaving scarce room to sit. The food was pricey in comparison to other places, but unfortunately, the price high or low could not satisfy our Panera experience we were hoping for. As I mentioned, the rating was not due to the staff working because they were brilliant. The rating was due to the lack of staffing which hindered the experience. I would still recommend visiting this Panera. Just be kind and be patient as they are trying in this era of time. Thank you for that. read more

There was a pretty good snowstorm going on and there was only a few people eating. We ordered at the kiosk and got our drinks. The manager walked by so we told her they were out of napkins. She came out with two napkins for us because this location was out of stock. We waited for our food for 25 minutes and decided we would have to take it to go because we had an appointment. I went to the pickup area and asked for that change. The kid working there was frustrated and apologetic saying he was waiting for plates. They were able to make my salad because i needed it in a to go container. My daughter's food was done and they put it in to go containers. He put it in a bag and apologized again. I asked him if the cookie was in the bag, he said yes. But as I picked up the bag I saw a cookie in the counter. I asked if that was the cookie. He looked surprisingly at the cookie and embarrassingly said yes and handed me the cookie with an apology. The food was ok, but my salad was missing some ingredients and had a giant glob of hummus on it. I don't mind hummus but I've never eaten so much. Disappointingly, the normally delicious bread was only about 3 inches long and pretty dry. There were a lot of people working but despite that, they couldn't put things together and the dining (waiting) room was filthy. My daughter had wanted lemonade but it was almost empty and looked like mostly foam/pulp. She enjoyed her green tea. Don't think I'll go back read more

This review is based on a take out order picked up by someone else. We placed the order using their online app. My friend orders from there often and recommended their salads. I ordered the Southwest Chile Lime Ranch Salad with Chicken. My friends both ordered the Fuji Apple Salad with Chicken. They both kidded about possibly ordering extra chicken since their salads are sometimes short on the ingredients. My salad came with fresh romaine, arugula, and cilantro. It was topped with a black bean and corn salsa, crispy masa chips, feta, large chunks of avocado, and plenty of tender chicken. The chile rojo ranch dressing had a nice kick and was certainly not your normal ranch. I almost had to laugh when I saw the salad one of my friends had. Very little chicken! They then told me that this is common that an ingredient is often missing or shorted. My salad was actually very good but thought that was a bit strange. I seldom go into this Panera since I'm a drive thru kind of person. When I have been inside it is clean and bright. A small group could come here easily. I love most of their soups but thick ones are my faves! Broccoli Cheese is my favorite with big pieces of broccoli and shredded carrots and maybe onion in delicious cheese base. Their tomato soup is also thick with pieces of tomato in it. I enjoy their tuna sandwich. I often get their "pick two" where you get a small soup and half a sandwich. There are other options but I'm not sure of all of them. With each item you also get your choice of their chips, sprouted roll, chunk of bread or an apple. They are a little pricey but so worth the money because the quality has always been good for me. They have breakfast items also but I've never been there for that other than their cinnamon which my grandson loves read more

Order is always wrong. Yesterday ordered via app and requested delivery. They contract with DoorDash who canceled the order and never picked it up. The manager, Brittany, offered me a new meal if I can to pick it up. After speaking with them 3 times and being on the phone with DoorDash for 40 minutes I was seething and didn't want to drive there and see any of the incompetent employees. We were looking forward to a light supper after the movies. When we arrived at 8:20pm we were greeted poorly by young lady making a face when we wanted to dine in. We asked for the manager and he explained it would take 10 minutes to prepare food and they have a policy to have the dining room cleared by 9pm. So Saturday afternoon after a day of shopping I decided to take my girlfriend to Panera Bread because she's a vegan and they usually have something good for her and this time I went to the victor one near the mall. The new one. We went in and I noticed something was wrong on her face as she stared at the menu board. And I said sweetie what's the matter why you look like that? She said there's nothing on the menu for me. I said what. She said there's nothing there there's no black beans there's no nothing like the other ones they always have something I can eat. Well she settled on a half a sandwich with lettuce and tomato and I had a had to have a ham and cheese sandwich because they were out of tuna? So we went to sit down and noticed that the booths were filthy... so we looked at some of the tables they were filthy. We finally found a table that was partially clean and I had to wipe the table off with my hand to get the crumbs so we could sit down and eat. Obviously we didn't go through the drive-thru. LOL So as we're sitting there eating our lunch I'm looking around the restaurant and I noticed the floors were disgusting. The carpet had food and paper wrappers and just garbage all over the place. And then finally one of the employees came around with a mechanical push broom thing that jammed up immediately... so she tried to take it apart and fix it and gave up and just walked away. I've been in several Panera Breads before and never seen anything like that before and also the menu boards being so different? I thought they were a chain... Like McDonald's where they have the same food in each one. Guess I was expecting too much? LOL read more

The staff is very attentive. I ordered the tuna sandwich. A quick pick up for lunch. It was literally put together blindly. It was on baguette, I asked for multigrain bread. Large piece of lettuce and tuna on one side only; a dollup of tuna. Imagine a sub that only has meat for three bites on one side and the rest is empty with just lettuce. My work ordered two trays of sandwiches two weeks before; the ham and cheese came with no cheese. We called to make sure the second the next day was correct. Again, no cheese and short 3 sandwiches. The Victor NY Location never seems to get my order right! On numerous occasions they have messed up my order. They are often super SLOW and the order is often NOT ACCURATE (drive through only). Either I'm missing a side item or the side item is not what I ordered. This is pretty consistent with this location! They also NEVER give me a receipt for my order. I must say this was one of the best customer service experiences I've had in a long time. When I pulled up to order my food I wanted a frozen mocha. The lady told me the machines were being washed. So after a very long and exhausting day I said "ugh this day just keeps getting worse" after I finished ordering my food. I pull up to pay and the guy surprised me with a frozen mocha saying "the lady back here made this specially for you". I told him that was so nice of them and made my entire night. Once I got my food there was a nice hand written message from her saying "I hope your night gets better. Here's a mocha on us!" Way to go Panera bread you have my 5 stars all the way. This location is my favorite. Th workers and managers are so nice if you show them the same respect. When I was in there the other day there was someone ahead of me throwing a fit over them being out of a soup that day. The cashier boy handled the situation very well I believe his name was dacota. After they left he gave me great customer service skills and helped me make my order and be on my way. While I was waiting for the food the man tried too complain too the manager on duty about the soup, and without an ounce of attitude handled the situation great and even offered a soup on them. The dining room lady with blonde hair and elderly, every time I asked a question about my order, all she did was laughed and acted like the order was not important. Used to love Panera, since their attempt to upgrade to organic foods the quality has decreased and the prices increased Took my niece to lunch today. She wanted a soup bowl and Mac and cheese. I got the Asian salad. They have new pager system, instead of it buzzing it talks to your table and the food is served to you. This was impressive. When the food arrived we were told i did order wrong so since I didn't pay for bread bowl, we had to go back to the cashier and buy the bowl. So I'm thinking you know what we want and you know we screwed it up shouldn't you have come to the table to clarify before bringing the food? It took 15 minutes to get the bowl, so now the soup and Mac and cheese are cold. They brought us another soup but still not the bowl. Then the bread bowl and soup in another container. Wanted to pour it at the table. All i could see was my niece with a lap full of soup. Finally they did take back to kitchen and bring it as I thought we ordered it. First the Panera in peri ton is awesome but victor sucks! I've given them chances and I'm finally done and will only go to perinton now. First off my sister had a piece of glass in her salad, they couldn't make any flatbreads so I got the chipotle avocado chicken sandwich got it home it had no avocado, asked for a brownie they didn't have anymore. For what they charge you would think things would be better. I was always a little surprised that Panera hadn't made it to Victor yet. Doesn't it seem like the perfect addition? You always have a ton of chains surrounding a Thruway exit, but most of the establishments around Exit 45 veer towards the greasier side of life. For that reason, as well as the obvious-in-hindsight location, Panera is a welcome addition to the area. I usually have nothing against most Panera locations, so I felt as though I knew what I was getting into by going here. This location is brand new, located next to the Hampton Inn on Route 96, almost right at the Thruway exit. It's easy to go right past the entrance, but fear not-Panera is accessible at the traffic light where you can go in for McDonalds next door. This location not only has a brand new building, but a drive-thru for those of us so inclined. I chose to go inside, so I got a view of the intimate seating area. The location itself is small, so don't expect to have a ton of space if you dine in. You can also skip the line and order from the fast lane kiosks, but if you do, you can only pay by card, be it credit, debit, or gift. As far as the food goes, it's Panera, so don't expect an amazing difference from location to location. The Victor location does benefit from being so new because the staff was definitely working to impress the customers when I was there. Now, I've been to enough Panera locations to know when they're phoning it in, and I'm happy to say that not only does the food taste like Panera should, but you won't have to worry about cut corners here. As far as chains go, Panera is fairly reliable, and if I'm out shopping and craving it, it's nice to be able to go grab it right then and there. This is without a doubt THE worst Panera I have ever been to. That's saying a lot because we've eaten in a Panera from NY to FL. I stopped going to this location about 6 months ago because every order I got was wrong. But once I realized the strawberry poppy seed salad was back I decided to give it a try again. Not smart. The 1st time they had no bread, chips, apples, tuna fish or tomato soup. I ordered the warm bowl & no side. The bowl came to over $28. When I questioned the price he cashier said yep that's correct. By then I was so done I took my order & left. When I got home & opened the bag, there was the bowl & a full order of tomato soup. That's right, the one they were out of. It came to $28 because they charged me for the bowl & a full order of the soup they said they didn't have. The following week my husband said let's give them one last try, he really loves their warm bowls & they've never gotten his order wrong. So I ordered the bowl & a pick 2. I asked for tomato soup & bread. Of course, no bread so they gave me an apple. I also asked for the strawberry poppy salad with chicken & extra dressing. When I opened the salad, no chicken. And not only did I not get extra dressing, I didn't get any dressing. That was absolutely the last straw. I don't care if I stay home & eat toast, I will never go to that Panera again. And by reading the other comments, it appears I'm not the only one who's gotten such lousy service. Every last person who works in that store should be fired. I have 3 grandson, two 8 year olds & a 9 yr old & they could do a far superior job than the people who work there. read more

This Panera's has screwed up my order multiple times. Twice they have handed my order out to someone else had to remake it and made it wrong. The lettuce and avocados in the salad is bad the majority of the time I get it as well. On my way to work this morning, I decided to stop at Panera for something tasty for breakfast. Since they have a drive-through I thought I would be in an out in no time. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case; 15 minutes later I had my bacon, egg, & cheese wrap handed to me in the bag. I drove to work, less than 5 minutes away only to open a cold wrap that was very stiff as if the wrap was old and stale. This Panera looks very new and it is quite spacious. Large parking lot. Arrived on a Sunday morning with a group of girlfriends. The cashiers were super nice and accommodating to our orders. I ordered the Greek yogurt - that wasn't in the cooler pre made - and they specially made one for me ! So nice! Very clean dining area. Clean bathrooms. Overall this is s great Panera. I would rate this as 0 stars. We went right around dinner time so I understand that it was busy, but the customer service was slow and the food was not what we expected from panera. For starters they were out of all soups and could not make any frozen drinks. Along with that the serving of mac and cheese was much smaller than what I have received at other locations. Also we ordered a whole grilled cheese that was served as halves in two separate containers. Finally the chips and bread was stale, along with the bread being thrown in at the bottom of the bag. I have no idea why Panera bothered to extend their hours when by 5:00 PM they're out of everything. I stopped there tonight for a Caesar salad with chicken & a strawberry Chicken poppy seed salad. Normally I love both of these salads, but they were out of dinner rolls, baguets, croissants & almost every bread they offer. I wound up ordering the pick 2 with the strawberry poppyseed salad & a tuna on extremely stale rye bread. My husband ordered the Caesar chicken salad. When we got them home neither looked like a normal salad. They used very odd looking lettuce that neither one of us has ever seen in their salads before. Not to mention, my husband's salad had very little chicken & mine had 2 pieces. Unless I'm going for lunch, I'll never go to the Victor Panera again. Very disappointed. read more
