After 30 seconds on my phone I found the NYS handbook and it says nothing about needing a scanning ID to buy alcohol in NYS. Like EVERYWHERE ELSE in the USA you just need a valid government issued ID like the OR drivers licence I have. The only other ID I have is a passport and who is walking around with that on any given day? No one. I was under the impression that to sell 18+ products you had to have a clear understanding of the tobacco and liquor laws. A cashier mindlessly scanning IDs is going to result in them selling to underage people. Also how do you expect to be part of any kind of tourism in your state if people with out of state IDs can buy beer, tobacco, or a lighter. Oh and I'm 31 years old....

Okay is when a business might not be the most comprehensive nor best managerially but still worth patronizing. This fueling/convenience store happens to be situated on the favorable corner of a major intersection. Their building, and pumps are situated such that you can fuel out of the major prevailing winds during the winter. And the pumps are under a canopy. Fairly easy in&out. Easier than 7-11 on opposite corner. McDonald's next door. CVS across the road on other corner. Strip mall on the 4th other corner with Fingerlakes Coffee Roasters, AutoZone, pizza shop, Chinese take out, liquor store. Aldi is close by. Gas prices are competitive for the location. Food & beverage prices are what you expect. Crosby's also operates the adjoining Subway store so, at times, the clerk will be assisting them or stocking. It's a lean operation. Crosby's also did away with selling coffee but there's an excellent coffee house across the road. They're stringent with "ID'ing" including lottery tickets so be prepared to offer your ID. Also they sometimes tend to only accept NY State ID's which can be a nusiance for tourists or out-of-state visitors. The employees have always been pleasant and helpful which is a plus. [ I rarely give out 5-stars because, well, that takes incredible achievement.] This Crosby's gets 3.5 stars.

My wife told me about her experience at this Walmart this past Friday. A little backstory of that…read moreshe is 8.5 months pregnant and was with our 3-year-old daughter who loves to help scan items. My wife picked up some items we needed during midday at this particular Walmart in Victor, and when she was using the self register, she was scanning items and our daughter was trying to scan items as well as it set off the shoplifting alarm in on the register and the male attendant came over and was terribly rude and made a scene so that other shoppers stopped and watched to her even after she explained that our daughter was trying to eagerly help scan items (again she's just 3) and everything was scanned. The attendant, went through my wife's shopping bags, without permission, to make sure everything was accounted for and basically accused every other item he saw in the bag to be not scanned until my wife SHOWED HIM on the register where it was scanned. Every item one by one. Meanwhile he threatened her that "he already voided someone's order today, he's not afraid to do it again with her", then turns to our 3 year daughter and asked her if she's been naughty this year because Santa's watching her. After my wife accounted for all her items in the bags, she said he stood there to watch the remainder of the items being scanned all while trying to look and see if there was something in her stuffed in her coat because, you know, SHE'S EIGHT MONTHS PREGNANT!!! SHE LOOKS LIKE SHE IS CARING TWINS!! How about next time, when you see a pregnant mom, struggling with a little toddler you ask to help her instead of accuse her of stealing and threatening to void her transaction and stand there and stare at her stomach to see if she stealing something under the coat. DO BETTER WALMART!!!!

Stopped in over the holiday weekend as I was in the area, easy in and out parking, it's smaller…read morethan Henrietta. I found everything I needed easily, aisles are well marked, and organized, place was clean, staff were helpful for the one item I couldn't find. Checkout had a 1 register open with a long line, but self checkout, which I use, was moving steady so got out in just a couple minutes. I can't give this place a review. There are no negative stars…read more I used to stop here frequently years ago when the place was an Express Mart. It was always clean and presentable, and the food was good. No more. I stopped here today to use the restroom and maybe get a bite.. What I saw after walking in the doors that don't close left me totally in shock and basically disgust. Walking into the restroom, I noticed that the doors are black with built up dirt. I've seen that before, so while it deterred me a bit I went in. The urinal, it has a probable 6 month build up of dried urine around the rim of the bowl. The sink was dirty, but it was afternoon, so I didn't expect much, but still less than I expected. I went out to the food area to see if there was anything I could possibly get away with to eat. The countertops are black with filth. The cover to the roller dog grill is so dirty you can't see the hot dogs inside. The cashiers counter is in the same shape. Absolutely disgusting. If you've have the pizza there recently, I can't guarantee that you won't get sick. If you don't you're lucky. The handles on the gas pumps are Cleaner than the counter. Seriously. This place needs to be closed. The Health Department can't possibly find anything positive about this place If you are the owner, you need to run, not walk, over there before the State gets there.
