So we were coming back from Clean Sweep that the City of Rochester puts on and as the buses were coming back to Innovative field from our work sites, I saw smokers out at this place and thought, this would be a good place to grab some lunch after a morning of clean-up in the city. They have different combos of wings, ribs and haddock fried fish. They also have fried pork chops from what the menu says. We ended up with combo 3 of the wings, ribs and 2 sides. I enjoys the ribs the best. The flavor was great. Wings were a bit spicy for my liking but we enjoyed it! Would never have known this place existed! read more

I met the owner through the Rochester City School District. He's a graduate and successful entrepreneur. The day I showed up the chef hadn't so there was a limited menu collards and mac salad w/ either ribs or Cajun wings. Chose the wings they were fantastic, did get them sauced but they were great even without the sauce. The greens are super flavorful, smokey, vinegary and a bit spicy. We work in the area and my fiance has wanted to try this place ever since we first noticed it. Last night was our chance. We had a friend pick up our food and bring it back. We gave him screenshots from the website to ensure we got the correct order and he went on his way. When he got there and tried to explain our order (I just wanted a rib sandwich and corn bread), he was argued with about where he found these prices. The prices were not what we were asking about, it was the correct orders we cared more about. After getting the order in, he brought it back and we started to sort through who got what. My mouth was ready. I love BBQ so I was excited to see what Rochester had to offer. I was so disappointed. I did not receive a rib sandwich, I received 1 rib and 1 small cupcake of a cornbread. My fiance got a ton of ribs instead of pork chops, doused in the juices of the collard greens he ordered and my friend got jerk chicken and cornbread. I was very hungry so I tucked into it anyway and as we ate, my friend stopped eating and yelped in pain. The jerk chicken broke his crown! Now he has to have an expensive dentist visit to fix it and the food itself wasn't even worth it. I am a fat girl who works in the area, this could have been a beautiful relationship. Their ribs are very large and tasty. Their sides are a great value and the mac & cheese is top notch in my opinion. The owner is also seems to be a great guy. Only reason not giving them 5 stars is because I prefer my ribs to be "fall off the bone". These ribs were not. I will definitely be back again though. read more
