Hubby and I came here and we were able to walk right up to cashier, Joni. She was so pleasant to talk to and place our order too. I got the chipotle chicken avocado melt with chips and hubby got the grilled cheese with tomato soup combo meal. We decided to eat there inside and we were able to find a nice table and it was clean too. The dining area inside was nice and clean and it appeared we beat the crowd because as we were leaving a line was starting to form. The wait for our food was about 7 minutes and greatly appreciated because I was truly starving! I loved my chipotle chicken avocado melt and the chips that came with it were pretty good too. I was a little bit nervous about eating here from some of the reviews, but I was very happy with the food and service. We're driving home from San Francisco after applying for a visa and stopped here for lunch because we were starving. The portions were larger than some of the Panera's that I've been to in the past which surprised me since a lot of people in the reviews complained about that aspect. I was very happy with the size of the side of bread especially, but I love bread. I had a small mac and cheese and the turkey, apple and cheddar sandwich. I ordered the Teriyaki Chicken & Broccoli Bowl for $13.39 it was AWFUL! It looks nothing like the picture. Hardly any broccoli, maybe 4 very small pieces of chicken, the teriyaki sauce looked and tasted like gravy, and no sesame seeds like in the picture. AWFUL, stick with the soups. read more

Vallejo location is one of the worst dine out experiences I've had. They never have what you want - it's the little things they don't tell you they are out of until you pick up your food. I don't understand all the negative feedback. We came here for the first time for breakfast and we were not disappointed. This is a bigger location compared to the ones I have been to, the interior was clean and the decor was nice. I saw a lot of customers dining, and hanging out (some with their laptops). Employees were welcoming, our food came out in minutes and it was good. Happy Panera came to Vallejo and hope they stay. To all the nay sayers, please give them another chance... This location serves soggy wilted salads and its very gross. I ordered three salads and all of them had soggy wilted lettuce.

Ok so first let me say that the food was not the issue. We ordered online around 4:45 for delivery around 6 pm. That never happened. I called at 6:30 and my food is sitting in the store and they are not sure when it would be delivered. My first time coming to Panera Bread was on January 18, 2019! My friends and I came here after getting our manicures and pedicures at Envy Nail Care. We walked in; the restaurant was bright, clean and welcoming. We were greeted by a cashier; the cashier took our order, very friendly too; ooh I forgot her name! After our purchases; we sat at the table, waited for our food pagers to be buzzed! We got our food; I must say the food here was delicious and scrumptious. I love the cookies, the Mac and cheese and the hot sandwiches. I came back again on February 23, 2019! This time I bought my son; I had the Italian sandwich, with a chicken Caesar salad and chips. Oh my god! That chicken Caesar salad was soooo delicious! I wish it had a bigger size of bowl. FYI: the agave Lemonade is sooo good; it's one of my favorite lemonades. It's worth it too! 1/2 hr wait for a to go order and pastries are not .99, this one is super short staffed, and have not won me over yet, and i am a regular panera customer! I think i will just go to outside of vallejo locations, this one is not good! Not even the cashiers are friendly, unless they changed their policy? Idk? From what I have experienced so far while coming here to study, was exceptional service. The manager is very friendly along with most of the staff. They accommodate the customers, and the drinks and food seem fine. A bit of cleaning could help, especially the back area where most people come to work or study. Overall not bad. read more

This is by far the worst Panera I've ever been to. Because it's the closest near me I have given it many chances but always end up disappointed. Today I received my salad and most of the lettuce used was discolored, wilted and slimy. My salad was not edible and this is definitely not the first time this has happened but it was the worst. Sadly the quality from the Panera is not matching up with the Panera in Concord. We used the concord location for years with rapid pick up. Vallejo opened and I was excited to not cross a bridge. We have gotten sick twice and last night was the final straw. They sent out salads with brown avocados and brown lettuce and I found a bone in my chicken. Last week, at 5am, I made a big breakfast order online for our film crew (coffee traveler, bagels, pastries, and yogurt parfaits for 20 people)--this saved me from going to three stores to get everything. BUT I screwed up and instead of making it for a 6am pickup that morning, I made it for two days later (!). I didn't realize that until I showed up. Annnnd I was already running late. Not a good start. LUCKILY, my ass was saved because Scott (the store manager) redirected his entire staff to fulfill the order in 20 minutes as soon as I explained what had happened! I SUPER appreciate that no one at the store had a bad attitude for probably inconveniencing their morning activities. They really helped me out here! I also ordered off the lunch catering menu (half sandwiches and summer salads). I frankly wasn't a fan of Panera Bread for years because everything I previously ordered never tasted good to me. But my mind has completely changed due to the service and the sandwiches are hella good (especially the Caprese sandwich). Our film crew said it was 10 out of 10 delicious. Yay! Thanks again Scott & Team for helping out an exhausted person. You guys lifted the burden of breakfast and lunch off my plate AND made me look good. I want to give this place the benefit of the doubt. However, they really need to work on checking their orders. Prices have gone way up ($55 for 3 meals is insane). But that's not the worst part. The last three times I've gone here something was missing from the order. Either a sandwich is missing, the chocolate chip cookies are missing, and even one time they gave me a muffin top instead of a chocolate chip cookie. So now I always check the bag now. But who knew I would have to actually open the salad and make sure that they added chicken, and eggs to my salad. For this price point they need to make sure their customers get what they pay for. It's disappointing that they don't do a better job with quality control, especially since things are so expensive at this restaurant now. And it's ok to put some chicken on the sandwich. A Chipotle chicken sandwich should not have two tiny pieces of chicken on it and a ton of cheese. The one positive from this experience was that I called the store, and Michelle was very understanding and apologetic. I will never go back to the Vallejo store I have been a customer for several years there, the food is good I will drive to Fairfield. I was at the Vallejo store a couple weeks ago at drive thru window the girl at the window threw my stuff to me and slammed the window closed with that kind of attitude I tried to get a manager and she would not open the window so I would not leave period. Poor staff, floors were filthy plus the wet floor sign was not even in the area where the floor was actually wet. My dad and I both got soups which were cold and the rest of our food was cold as well. The bread was hard and cold. Tables and floor were dirty with food and stains. Average 2 star reviews? Well this will make it a 2 star longer. I love their breakfast sandwiches. I guess my only complaint is the area where they keep the coffee mugs are dirty and dusty they don't wipe down the shelves and when they put clean mugs on the area, the top of the mug gets dirty and I didn't even notice until I took a sip and there were dust in my tongue....eeeewww gross... i told the lady snd she just said u want a clean mug. She didn't even say thank you for letting us know we will definitely clean that area. So the next time you want to get a coffee mug from that area just ask the clerk and they will give you a clean one from behind the counter. Update: when I left 30 minutes later that area still hasn't been cleaned. I wonder how many customers took a mug from that area in the last 30 minutes ....lol read more
