Went through the drive through this Sunday evening. The kids were to busy laughing to take my order, then she calmed down and what do ya know, she got it wrong. Then the guy at the window asks me to park out front and they'll bring it to me. After 14 minutes I went in and asked the manager if they forgot my order. I gave him my receipt and a few minutes later he brings our order and cavalierly says "sorry,bout that!" He should not where an Aloha shirt if he doesn't know the spirit of Aloha. I would think they could hire professionals who understand that customer service is not just a cliche'. Why is my hot steak sandwich cold and on White Bread! WHITE BREAD !!!! My aunt took us to have lunch at this new Panera branch. We had just finished attending mass and was in high spirits until the cashier gave us a negative vibe. Such a beautiful location to have a new restaurant, however, their customer service was terrible. Not a good way to start a new year off with a half irritated, uninteresting staff who only rings up orders and not greets new guests. The seating for their dining area is too cramped towards the back of the branch. They have a self-serve/pick up window for guests to casually bring their food to their own table. This surprised me since I have gotten used to Fairfield's friendly full-service servers bringing out our orders. I felt like a clown juggling a bunch of fragile plates and uhhhh fetching orders for four people is like wooooowza! I didn't come here to test out my strength and stress...I expect a full-serviced, positive dining experience like the other branch because the food items are pricy, yet we were given a lousy, cheap customer service. Not a rewarding experience for a family to dine in for a treat. My aunt complained about the manager not being helpful to assist her when she needed assistance to pack our food to go....not one acknowledgement or friendliness from their team. Poor packing material provided for to-go items. Change the quality of your paper bags and add handles, Panera Vallejo! Our bag broke with just a loaf of cheese Asiago and two small to go containers for our soup and half sandwich. January 1st visit will be marked as our first and last visit at this bakery. read more

Hubby and I came here and we were able to walk right up to cashier, Joni. She was so pleasant to talk to and place our order too. I got the chipotle chicken avocado melt with chips and hubby got the grilled cheese with tomato soup combo meal. We decided to eat there inside and we were able to find a nice table and it was clean too. The dining area inside was nice and clean and it appeared we beat the crowd because as we were leaving a line was starting to form. The wait for our food was about 7 minutes and greatly appreciated because I was truly starving! I loved my chipotle chicken avocado melt and the chips that came with it were pretty good too. It was a really good way to start my day. I would come back again and glad I waited a while after they grand opened to come here. Hubby and I are very satisfied customers. read more

I was a little bit nervous about eating here from some of the reviews, but I was very happy with the food and service. We're driving home from San Francisco after applying for a visa and stopped here for lunch because we were starving. The portions were larger than some of the Panera's that I've been to in the past which surprised me since a lot of people in the reviews complained about that aspect. I was very happy with the size of the side of bread especially, but I love bread. I had a small mac and cheese and the turkey, apple and cheddar sandwich. I don't understand all the negative feedback. We came here for the first time for breakfast and we were not disappointed. This is a bigger location compared to the ones I have been to, the interior was clean and the decor was nice. I saw a lot of customers dining, and hanging out (some with their laptops). Employees were welcoming, our food came out in minutes and it was good. Happy Panera came to Vallejo and hope they stay. To all the nay sayers, please give them another chance... I think the food is great. It's also one of the few places I can find decent French bread in Vallejo. Occasionally I order a sandwich that I don't care for much. But the food is always fresh and tasty. I can't say much for the pizzas. I do not recommend them. read more

Vallejo location is one of the worst dine out experiences I've had. They never have what you want - it's the little things they don't tell you they are out of until you pick up your food. It's always filthy. This has not been my experience at other Bay area location. I come to this location once a year thinking they couldn't have gotten worse - I am wrong. They are worse. My first time coming to Panera Bread was on January 18, 2019! My friends and I came here after getting our manicures and pedicures at Envy Nail Care. We walked in; the restaurant was bright, clean and welcoming. We were greeted by a cashier; the cashier took our order, very friendly too; ooh I forgot her name! After our purchases; we sat at the table, waited for our food pagers to be buzzed! We got our food; I must say the food here was delicious and scrumptious. I love the cookies, the Mac and cheese and the hot sandwiches. I came back again on February 23, 2019! This time I bought my son; I had the Italian sandwich, with a chicken Caesar salad and chips. Oh my god! That chicken Caesar salad was soooo delicious! I wish it had a bigger size of bowl. FYI: the agave Lemonade is sooo good; it's one of my favorite lemonades. It's worth it too! This Panera is forever having issues! The website says they open at 6am and the staff says they open at 7am! No explanation nothing! The orders are almost always wrong that I have to wait and check the bags to make sure it was packed correctly! So annoying because who wants to complain that a food order is incorrect?!? From what I have experienced so far while coming here to study, was exceptional service. The manager is very friendly along with most of the staff. They accommodate the customers, and the drinks and food seem fine. A bit of cleaning could help, especially the back area where most people come to work or study. Overall not bad. read more

Sadly the quality from the Panera is not matching up with the Panera in Concord. We used the concord location for years with rapid pick up. Vallejo opened and I was excited to not cross a bridge. We have gotten sick twice and last night was the final straw. They sent out salads with brown avocados and brown lettuce and I found a bone in my chicken. I called at 6:30 and my food is sitting in the store and they are not sure when it would be delivered. I want to give this place the benefit of the doubt. However, they really need to work on checking their orders. Prices have gone way up ($55 for 3 meals is insane). But that's not the worst part. The last three times I've gone here something was missing from the order. Either a sandwich is missing, the chocolate chip cookies are missing, and even one time they gave me a muffin top instead of a chocolate chip cookie. So now I always check the bag now. But who knew I would have to actually open the salad and make sure that they added chicken, and eggs to my salad. For this price point they need to make sure their customers get what they pay for. It's disappointing that they don't do a better job with quality control, especially since things are so expensive at this restaurant now. And it's ok to put some chicken on the sandwich. A Chipotle chicken sandwich should not have two tiny pieces of chicken on it and a ton of cheese. The one positive from this experience was that I called the store, and Michelle was very understanding and apologetic. That is the only reason I'm giving this store three stars, because of her customer service. Please do better. read more

Last week, at 5am, I made a big breakfast order online for our film crew (coffee traveler, bagels, pastries, and yogurt parfaits for 20 people)--this saved me from going to three stores to get everything. BUT I screwed up and instead of making it for a 6am pickup that morning, I made it for two days later (!). I didn't realize that until I showed up. Annnnd I was already running late. Not a good start. LUCKILY, my ass was saved because Scott (the store manager) redirected his entire staff to fulfill the order in 20 minutes as soon as I explained what had happened! I SUPER appreciate that no one at the store had a bad attitude for probably inconveniencing their morning activities. They really helped me out here! I also ordered off the lunch catering menu (half sandwiches and summer salads). I frankly wasn't a fan of Panera Bread for years because everything I previously ordered never tasted good to me. But my mind has completely changed due to the service and the sandwiches are hella good (especially the Caprese sandwich). Our film crew said it was 10 out of 10 delicious. Yay! Thanks again Scott & Team for helping out an exhausted person. You guys lifted the burden of breakfast and lunch off my plate AND made me look good. I will never go back to the Vallejo store I have been a customer for several years there, the food is good I will drive to Fairfield. I was at the Vallejo store a couple weeks ago at drive thru window the girl at the window threw my stuff to me and slammed the window closed with that kind of attitude I tried to get a manager and she would not open the window so I would not leave period. Once they figured out i would not leave the manager arrived and her attitude was almost as bad, again I will never go back. read more
