I've come to this location several times for curbside pick up. I enjoy the convenience of ordering through the app and having it brought out to my car. Since the pandemic started I've always had my ordered brought out to me in a timely manner. The employee is wearing a mask and my items are neatly packed. The customer service is good and efficient. The app really helps notify the store you are outside and what type of vehicle you are in so they can find you (use the app for efficiency)! You can also call the store to let them know you are outside to bring your order out. Super convenient that they offer curbside pickup. I've ordered their iced coffee, different types of bagels, different pastries, teas, salads, soups, and sandwiches. I like the iced coffee with cream and sugar. The coffee has a bold taste. My favorite bagels are the chocolate chip and the plain. The bagels are soft and delicious. If you order them sliced and toasted make sure to eat them right away because they get hard after being toasted. This location runs out of popular bagels early in the morning so it's difficult to find the ones I like. Cookies are delicious. The chocolate croissant is flaky and has an interesting taste with the chocolate flavored cream cheese. The passion papaya green tea is delicious! Fuji Apple is a delicious fresh salad. Chicken noodle is soothing on a cold or sick day. The roasted turkey & avocado BLT sandwich is good. I like the option to be able to pick two items so you can have two different things at once. read more

Ana thank you so much for helping confirm my catering order at the Cupertino location -- Cupertino had forwarded and then canceled my catering order to this Sunnyvale location. Luckily Ana was on top of it, she contacted me early morning day of my event and then helped me confirm with Cupertino (who wasn't answering their phone for 2 hours literally two hours before my event - EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING). This panera location is just ok. It's near a lot of businesses, so it does get pretty busy during lunch hours. The first time I came here, they were still new and forgot to include the soda I ordered. The manager at the time was super friendly and gave me a large drink cup on the house. The only downside to this location is that for some reason it feels super dirty, like cleaning the tables/trash isn't a priority. read more

Curbside pickup is a mess. I ordered online, only an iced drink and a muffin, for pick up. I was there on time and pressed the "I'm here" button only wait 10 minutes. I decided to call the store and quickly realized that my order was no where on their radar. I had to wait an extra 5 minutes for my order just for them to bring out the wrong order (they came out with a hot drink instead of the iced). After waiting almost 20 minutes for a simple order, I finally got my order only to take a sip of my iced drink to feel that it was still hot and watered out. I have been to this panera location a few times. Most recently, I went and got the buffalo chicken toasted flatbread. It was good! I think I would get less cheese next time, but I think that's just because I like cheese less than the average person I think. The sauce and chicken however were really good! Pro tip: you can add some sides to sandwiches for no additional cost. So I added emerald greens and spinach to the sandwich to get some veggies in and it ended up working really well since the greens don't have a strong flavor. I have only ordered pick up so far so can't speak too much to the ambience indoors, but I will say it looks pretty much like every other Panera inside so not a lot worse or better than average. The service was really good though! I ordered on the app and it was ready at exactly the time it said it would be which is great for planning and not necessarily something other similar places guarantee. Yes, I know... ...I kind of shat on Panera Bread in a previous review due to their tasty, yet overpriced food. Welp, I still share my original feelings toward this eatery. During my recent visit, I ordered a half bowl of Chicken Apple Salad ($5.79) and half of a Bacon Turkey Bravo Sandwich ($5.59). The salad contained Fuji apple chips, tomatoes, red onions, toasted pecan, Gorgonzola cheese, and mixed greens (arugula, romaine, kale and radicchio) tossed in white balsamic vinaigrette. While delicious, the salad was on the smaller side. The sandwich contained roasted turkey, applewood-smoked bacon, smoked Gouda, green leaf lettuce, tomatoes, and signature sauce with salt and pepper on sourdough bread. The sandwich was pretty good, but nothing amazing. After tax, I paid over $6 for half a sandwich, which is a no-no in my book, especially since it wasn't packed full of ingredients like you'd expect it to be at this price. I enjoy eating at Panera Bread, but like many people have already said in previous Panera reviews, you can get similar items for less money at other restaurants in the area, or at least get more bang for your buck. read more

Pleasant service, quiet studious atmosphere with light music playing in the background, baked goods, fresh sandwiches & salads-- this place is pretty nice. My friend and I dined here on a Wednesday evening around 8pm and were greeted by our order taker as soon as we walked in. So many pastries to choose from! I liked the pumpkin muffie which is basically the top of a muffin. The cinnamon chip and orange scones were good as well. The chocolate chip cookie has that perfect flat soft moist texture all throughout but the m&m cookie wasn't that great: a plain thick cookie with mini colorful candies scattered on top. The cherry pastry is ok. I did my research online and decided beforehand that I would order the 1/2 Asian sesame salad with chicken and 1/2 steak & white cheddar panini with horseradish mayo and caramelized onions as my pick 2 meal. Found out the hard way I should've requested for well done meat because mine was very red and still bloody. They offered to make me a brand new sandwich but I hate wasting food, so I resorted to taking out the uncooked pieces of meat. Don't get me wrong-- thinly sliced juicy steak sandwiched between toasted bread and slightly melted white cheddar sounds phenomenal, but this experience could've been better. My friend's wasabi steak sandwich's meat was even more uncooked than mine ... she just enjoyed her chicken noodle soup and bread since she was sick. The Asian chicken sesame salad is tossed with the right amount of dressing (not too heavy) plus looks and tastes delicious! I love the sliced almonds and generous portion of white meat chicken. Salads are worth stopping by for. Each entree comes with the choice of a bag of chips, bread, or an apple. I opted for the apple since I just came from the gym but saved it for the next day. I do like their kettle cooked chips though. They have so many iced teas/drinks! There's green tea, a red hibiscus one, iced coffee, lemonade, and the usual soft drink dispenser. Water cups are so cute here, they have their own lid. Customer service was very patient with me. I must've ordered at least nine different pastries to take home while my friend decided on what to order. I think the manager brought the to go pastries to our table. He encouraged me to check if they packed the right items before putting everything away neatly in a paper bag in front of me. Kudos! No issues there, however when I opened the bag to eat the goods, broccoli cheddar was watered down so bad I could taste the distilled water. I had to use potato chips to spice it up and made it somewhat edible, 1/4 of Mac and cheese was still cold. I've worked at Panera all you do is literally poke holes and toss it into the microwave, dunno how you mess that up. Order a group size squash soup and a drink for $31.00. I asked for pumpkin seeds on the side. I was told that it's 4 seeds per cup, and I could not have extra seeds. The cashier wouldn't sell me extra seeds and said they could not do anything about my order, so I got a refund instead. Who knew pumpkin seeds were such a deal breaker. $31 dollars for soup, and you can't even get extra pumpkin seeds.. wow! 3.5 stars. This is my go to place after the gym for some clean protein. It's the only decent place in the plaza for some post workout grub so I go here by default. I like that their food is clean. Nice location with clean interior. Food is just ok. I came on a Saturday about noon and had the chef special chicken sandwich which came on a hamburger bun and had only the chicken and lettuce with their white sauce. I got the apple that comes with it. One whole red apple. Chicken was kind of dry. Also had coffee which was not very hot. Probably because they keep it in the self serve stainless containers and who knows how long it has been sitting there. I normally order the Fuji chicken salad here and when I ordered "twice" on consecutive days this week and asked for extra chicken I received my first salad with no chicken. I informed them of this the first time and I talked to the manager who told me to come back as they were putting me on a VIP list. So I came back today, the day after, and ordered with the manager and the processed my order for a Fuji chicken salad with extra chicken. Guess what happened? Parking: The lot is for the various restaurants and establishments that are in the shopping center and currently being built. We want to support our local restaurants and have placed many online pick up orders during Covid at this location, most have gone pretty well all things considered...maybe shorted a bread or something, but nothing too tragic... However, with our last order, just after entering the order, the confirmation came back and it seemed the online ordered had doubled the amount of sandwiches. Not sure how this happened, but in any case, we called in IMMEDIATELY to get the quantity corrected. One employee answered, I told him what happened, he said he would go and correct the order before it got started and for me to hold. I was on hold for a LONG while. Then a gal gets on the phone. She told me that the order is now complete. I told her the website doubled the quantity (and added extra salt and pepper which was also odd), but I called in immediately to try to just correct the order. She said it was now too late - was that the reason they left me on hold so long?! She was very disrespectful and rude! I told her we were just two people, and it would be hard for us to eat $67 worth of sandwiches and salads! Then she said she would cancel the order. THEN SHE HUNG UP ON ME! We checked online, and she did cancel the order. However, it is more than day later, and it seems we have not gotten a credit back for the charge! Several times we've had issues with our takeout order, missing or incorrect items, etc. During this pandemic, Panera has been a convenient lunch for us. We use their website to order in advance, no problem. The sandwiches and soup are tasty and fresh. The problem is that half the time, something is completely missing from the bag and/or there's something that's just the wrong item. I was peeved yesterday when 2 baguettes and 2 apples were missing from my order. I'm not driving back there from 10 minutes away to talk to the manager or get my missing items, when I've got a hungry toddler to feed at home. Another time my order was said to be ready via email, I go pick it up and I'm there 10 minutes before they basically tell me that they need to remake it because someone else mistakenly took my order. OK, it took a few more minutes but it's like there's always something with the pick up at this restaurant. I think we're taking a break from Panera for a while. read more

Big parking lot and there were a lot of spots when I got there. Though the drivers do seem reckless and keep parking behind other people for temporary drop offs... CMON people. No lines, yet, and not when I left. But there were close to no seats available. Still very clean inside. I ordered a half BBQ chicken salad with a french baguette and enjoyed it for the price. Probably gonna be my go to place for a salad, since I can't abandon my other lovely deli for soups and sandwiches. I love that is within walking distance and I should be able to walk next time and make it back to work in time!
