We've always enjoyed Panera Bread, but have not been to this one in some time. It was very disappointing. French onion soup has shredded cheese that's not melted and very little of it. This place was lit up brighter than a prison. Good selection - clean store - and seemingly polite staff. And that's where the kind words end... My mobile order included the Tuesday Baker's dozen bagel special, the Baker's dozen bagel bag with two cream cheese, and a large coffee. Special instructions were: cut each bagel in half, include lots of butter - along with plates and knives. It wasn't until I arrived at my morning event of 20 plus people that I learned none of the bagels were cut in half, and that butter wasn't included. The cream cheese was the wrong flavor, and the plates and knives were nowhere to be found. Basically, I received a bag full of useless bread. Epic fail. The only reason for rating two stars rather than one was the super polite staff. That, and the fact the place was lit up brighter than a prison. read more

I wouldn't even give this place on star but I can't post unless I tap one. The worst Panera I have ever been to in my life. The inside is usually dirty and then if you go through drive-thru you will sit there for four or five minutes before anybody even acknowledges you. I sat today for 4 minutes before anyone said anything to be told they would be with me in a few. (which was another 3 minutes) I finally give my order, not told how much it was, pulled up to the window and sit there for another 9 minutes waiting for anybody to come to the window. I finally just drove off so I wouldn't be late for work. I was there for 16 minutes. Nobody was in line in front of me in the drive thru. I was the only one. And it was not busy inside. Nobody ever came to the window. I could understand maybe if I ordered something time consuming to make but I only ordered a cup of soup and a latte. It doesn't take 16 minutes to make a latte and put some soup in a bowl. The customer service here is pathetic. I cannot believe the franchise lets this place stay open or operate like this. This store needs new ownership (or at least some one who gives a damn) and complete new staff. They obviously don't like their jobs! This was the worst service ever! read more

This is the worst Panera Bread location. I love Panera but something is wrong with this one. My orders have been incorrect and inconsistent more times than I can count. They are constantly out of cups too. I've finally decided to stop giving them a chance. I go to other locations and do not have any of the problems this store has. I am actually audibly laughing seeing the ratings on this location; it's rare you see a chain fast food/coffee shop getting one star. I live in Detroit, Michigan. Someone hacked my Panera account and placed multiple orders at this location. I immediately called and asked the employee I was speaking with to cancel the order. She refused and said she has to wait for a manager, who is currently conducting interviews. I explained that this was fraud, and that I did not place the orders, and that I would wait on hold. She was beyond rude before eventually hanging up on me. Because she refused to cancel the order, I have to now wait for those charges to post before disputing them with my bank. I also had to cancel my debit card and get a new one - all in all, a lot more effort than needed if she would've just cancelled the order right there. I highly doubt it is impossible to cancel an order without a manager (and even if it is, the whole process would've taken a few minutes). When the manager called me back, she said it was too late to do anything and I'd need to take it up with my bank. I responded that it wouldn't have been too late if it was taken care of hours before when I initially called. She, like the other person I spoke with (who I am now suspecting were probably the same person, lol) was extremely rude and zero help. I don't live anywhere near Jacksonville or St. Augustine or wherever this location is, but I hope the person who ordered breakfast for all of their friends on my dime enjoyed it. My daughter and I stopped in quite a lot here until the day the power washer company was there. We opened the door to walk inside the store and he sprayed water onto the building that had bleach in it. The water dropped onto both of us and ruined our clothes. Spots of bleach all our skin and clothes. I walked to the manger the young man about it and he does he couldn't do anything about it. Well yes you should have done something about it because we were out over $65 worth of clothes. You told me to talk to the power washer employee which we did and he told me there was no way he could have got bleach us and basically called me a lair. Absolutely nothing was done and Panera bread should have stepped up and replaced our clothing. read more

If I could give zero I would. I ordered food and added a brownie and cookie with rapid order. My husband brought our order home and no cookie or brownie. The manager knew when I called! And still had it out for us to take. You trust everything is there when the bag is stapled shut. Knowing they didn't have those items should hold on to it and wait till we ask for it to explain the items no longer available. I don't care about the items or the cost the common courtesy is worth more than that! Ot the laziest service ever! read more

This is our third visit to this location. Every time has been a very long wait, there was no one in front of us. It took 22 minutes to make a sandwich that only has ham and cheese. AND did you know that you CAN NOT order a half of a sandwich? (Even though they have it on the pick 2 menu as a half of a sandwich.) The (expired) yogurt was the only other thing on our order. Finally after waiting about 5 mins, the line of customers grew to 6, I finally went to the pick up window and asked for help. One guy from back of house came to help reluctantly. This is why I no longer go to Panera. Our order was simple, bowl of chicken noodle soup & bowl of broccoli cheddar. They both were terrible! Not the usual Panera soup. Wow zero stars if I could! I went with my family before my daughter's chorus recital across the street. We ordered and waited I received a text my food was ready at 6:15 pm I stood at the counter no body acknowledged me and I stood there until til 6:31 pm and finally just asked someone in passing where my order was. She went to the back and they had not even started my order. As I waited my food they were messing every order up and getting everything wrong! A lady next to me asked where her missing food was the girl said I don't know and walked away. No managers no organization at all! Got my food finally we had to eat in a hurry. My son got his pizza I got my chicken sandwich but my husband got a fruit cup with moldy rotten fruit inside and the grape was mush with green fur all over it! Then his $12 sandwich he ordered well they gave him only a half of a sandwich. They were supposed to be making a new one we waited another 8-10 minutes we asked where it was we had to leave we had a recital to go to. The worked said oh I don't see they are making one do have your receipt we explained we threw it away. They would not make my husband's sandwich without it!!! Kidding right??? He did ask if we wanted a pastry item so you will give us a pastry item without receipt but not the food we paid for? I will NEVER go to this location again! If I wasn't traveling I would've taken this breakfast sandwich back with this hair in it. Why do employees wear gloves and scratches their hair with the same gloves they're preparing the food with. Yelp needs to add an option for zero stars to properly capture the rating this place deserves. I went though the drive through for an order of Mac and cheese and a side of bread, just to be told they are out of bread. The place is literally called Panera bread and they have no bread? I should have driven away right then, but instead I waited over 25 mins to be charged $10 for what they said was a large Mac and cheese. If that was as a large I can only assume the small is served in a shot glass. This place takes price gouging to a new level. I will never think about returning to this place. Whoever owns this franchise should be ashamed and embarrassed. read more

100% the absolute worst Panera you will find. Staff needs training/doesn't know the menu so ordering is a chore. Management doesn't seem to care at all. Very slow to get food and portions (especially salads) seem smaller than other Panera's. But most importantly, this place is DISGUSTING. The floors in the dining room and bathrooms are very dirty. Tables were all dirty. As with most Panera's you have to bus your own table (which is annoying, especially for a place that is around $15 for lunch)...but this task is made worse by the plates not being routinely cleared. There were SO many dirty dishes piled at the trash cans. Ending my meal with having to pile up my dishes on top of everyone else's dirty plates is gross. Panera has become too expensive in general but I deal with it from time to time when I want a fast meal that is somewhat healthy. I may still go a Panera in the future but it will NEVER be this location again. read more

This is my second time at this BRAND new Panera - the first time was horrible, and the second time was even worse. I'm amazed at how dirty this restaurant is .. especially during a COVID outbreak period. The floors are gross - sticky and full of debri. Every table was dirty, chairs were flung around - not at tables, and the trash bin had dishes piled up with garbage overflowing from the trash can. No ice in the ice machine, and the kiosk machines were smeared with finger prints & dirt. Ugh.. totally lost my appetite. I will NEVER frequent this venue again! In fact, the facility should be reported to the health department as I'm sure the back kitchen area is just a deplorable. Ick! read more
