I love all Panera's but this one in particular is always on point! Love them. My food never takes long and the staff is super polite :)

If I could give less than one star I would. I worked in food service for six years I always tip 25%. If it takes an extra half an hour to make an order that's fine with me I understand. Placing an order for five sandwiches two smoothies and a couple sides of soup two hours in advance to cater a small meeting. I show up and get told that it was canceled for being too big and they couldn't handle the order. That is very frustrating. I was told that we could pick it up 130 which was another hour and a half later so I rescheduled the meeting and placed the order at the counter I arrived at 1:30 and they were told that they canceled it again because they could not handle an order that big the manager was not accommodating however he was apologetic. Until a line cook however came around the corner interrupted me and began to tell me how he is not going to make an order because it's too big and it's not in the system I explain to him that it was re-entered in the system and said that it was OK that it took an hour and a half and he told me that it doesn't matter he doesn't care there's nothing he can do for me. I told him that I will place the order and wait for it and if it takes an hour it takes an hour and he told me that it's not even worth it because it'll take him two hours for five sandwiches a couple of smoothies and a few sides of soup. When one cook said that the manager hopped on the bandwagon and agreed and just walked away from me. I have never once left a bad review or a review at all but I was so embarrassed on behalf of the business I had to say something. we are looking for a reoccurring place to order each week if we liked the service we would place a catering order one week in advance every week until the end of the year. But they lost out on that. If they thought that the first order was big then they missed out on thousands because we will not be coming back. We were going to pick up catering service for our whole company once per week but that's not going to happen. Now I have to find somewhere else to feed a group of people on the flip of a dime. If you have an order for more than two sandwiches I suggest subway. I think they have better soup anyways. read more

I have very low expectations for Panera bread in general, but this location in particular frequently leaves me disappointed. Today they managed to lose my online order for 10 minutes and then delivered only half of it, and only when I challenged them, then they noticed that they were out of the item I ordered. read more

I walked in Sat 8/12 about 5:15 & it was not busy. There was a customer being rung up in front of me. But, there were 5 other Panera employees standing around at the registers. I looked them but they didn't do anything. So I asked if anyone could help me. They just looked at me. So I approached a register with 3 Panera employees. Again, I asked if they could ring me up but there was some issue with the register. Then one of them walked to another register so I asked if he could ring me up there. He did but only because I asked for a third time. What gives? read more

The WORST PANERA EVER!!!!! I don't know why I come to this panera. They can never get my order right, on time, or be friendly. The restaurant is always filthy, staff is not friendly or accommodating. Management needs to re train their staff. Customer satisfaction is number one in my book and I am not a satisfied customer. I will probably stop coming here all together. read more

The worst Panara ever! I work near here and wish I didn't. It does not matter how you order - phone, in person or via the rapid pick-up app- they will screw up your order. This is the only location around and there's not 1 in Chantilly or I would go there, but after today- I'm done. I know this place does good business as it's the only Panara around with several housing communities around, I'm sure they think the manager is great, but it's just in a great location- the management is a joke. This is not a Panara, it's not even of quality and has more orders screwed up than a McDonald's. Love Pananra, but that this location. Skip it! read more

Why do I always feel like I'm getting barked at when I go to this Panera? The staff is so aggressively helpful. If I stand back of the line and look at the menu for more than a few seconds staff begins to yell at me in increasingly louder voices, "Can I help you? Sir, what would you like to order?!?!" I ask for more time, but they are relentless. In the end, they were out of what I wanted and the bagel I ordered was stale. I love their tomato soup in the bread bowl. I should just stick to that. But hey, give a guy a little time to look at the menu. Sometimes a nice quiet smile is the best way to welcome a customer. read more

Unfortunately I have a complaint. We moved to South Riding 3 years ago and have seen a definite change for the worst at this panera and have been disappointed on many occasions. I never write reviews but I have had enough between the bad service, running out of bread and then having to substitute at the last moment and if no side bread is available then they just throw in whatever extra chips or half bagels. One thing Panera should not run out of is bread even if it is an hour before closing and that was just the one time - the other times were in the middle of the day. Then the cherry on top is that I took guests there from South Africa for a quick breakfast and their order was served on a dirty plates - unacceptable. The staff at this location is young and inexperienced which I dont have a problem with except that it is not managed well. More training is needed, better service, dont run of your main product and DO NOT SERVE FOOD ON A DIRTY PLATE!! Even though it is convenient I will be think twice before I go back. read more

Just ordered food to have delivered to my house and they were very quick to deliver the food But they forgot an item which is understandable. The problem is I am trying to call them to have them credit my credit card so that I am not charged for something that I did not receive but unfortunately no one will pick up the phone there which is very bad business. Have very fast 11mb wifi. They get an extra star when the other stingy jerk owners have crappy or no internet. More comfortable and better food than Starbucks. What's there not too like, except perhaps healthier food options and less baked goods.... read more

Dorries I'm giving it to is my breakfast Fratatta was halfway decent. The rest of it was a joke. My wife's soup was half full and cold. Wait staff were very indifferent and when we asked if we could order a Breakfast Sandwich just before 11:00 ona Sunday the kid said no yet two people right next to at another register were able to order a breakfast sandwich! Not worth arguing with a kid who was so out of touch why aggravate yourself. Won't be back. South Riding could use a breakfast place! read more

Panera used to have good pastries but just recently it seems they've changed the recipes and overall taste and size of them. And it's a complete downgrade! The original cherry pastries were soft with a great flavor with enough of the cherry topping and now they've changed it to a smaller, more dense, cheese filled pastry with little cherries on top. It's such a disappointment and this isn't the only pastry they've changed. PLEASE PANERA GO BACK TO THE ORIGINAL PASTRIES! read more

A couple of nights ago i ordered takeaway, and they had me waiting for the smoothies, while the person who was supposed to be preparing them was chatting and joking with a co-worker. Everyone who works here is super friendly, throwing in things like free pastries, extra chips, etc. for no other reason than the fact that they're nice and truly engage with their customers. The food is just like every other Panera, no complaints. I have been going here off and on for about five years. Everybody who works there is always nice. There was a guy there who was not nice and they did not keep him around more than a few months- so I think the location has it's own radar for mean employees. The people accepting the orders never struggle to find what the button that corresponds to what you're asking for. The people in the kitchen are always busy but if you notice they do things as efficiently as they can, and they are still always courteous when they are announcing the orders. read more

This location is a joke. While the restaurant itself is nice, the management is not up to par. They're always out of multiple things on their menu (especially during the dinner rush) and say that the items are popular so that's why they run out. Why don't they just order more to keep up with demand? It doesn't make any sense. We've gone there three times over the past week to get soup in a bread bowl and they have been out of bread bowls every single time. So instead of paying them $20 for meals, we leave! I don't understand how they can't figure out to stock them to keep up with requests. In order to get a bread bowl, they said I can call and reserve one in the middle of the day. Huh? Reserve food at Panera? Crazy. I like Panera and find their food really fresh and healthy. However, this location does not have their act together. Once we ever ordered soup in a bread bowl, paid and THEN they told us they were out. I'd skip this location and try somewhere else if I were you. Not worth the time. read more

My family and I frequent this location and we always enjoy Panera. The ambiance and food is excellent.

My husband and I stop for coffee/breakfast every day, as we commute together. We love the atmosphere at this Panera. All of the morning crew is awesome! No matter who is at the front counter, we are always greeted in a friendly and professional manner. When there are any issues at all (low coffee, creamers, etc) the staff is always very helpful and quick to remedy. We have even had our coffee delivered personally to our table when the coffee had been brewing. We love the coffee, salads, and soups/sandwiches. However, it is the staff that makes the wonderful difference. We visit many Panera Bread locations, both in and out of this area, and have never found one as inviting as the South Riding Panera. read more

I preface this review by saying that I have typically been pleased by the food quality here. But the service--particularly the catering pick up service--is just lousy. I don't know how many times I have picked up an order for my office only to be ignored by multiple staff walking back and forth right in front of me. Even worse is the unsanitary ladies room, which literally had crap on the wall when I went in.
