For what you get, this place is always overpriced. For some reason, I always walk away hungry from this place. The food is decent. Fresh bread, tasty veggies. But this last time they messed my order up. I was so hungry that I didn't care and ate it anyhow. They offer a variety of soups and sandwiches. It's a good place to get bagels too, but they've messed up my order on that in the past too. Now that I think of it, they rarely get an order right. Watch 'em like a hawk when they're putting your order in. The restaurant is always clean. Parking is easy, and well lit. The restrooms are always in good order. I was really happy when I found out that San Antonio was going to have their own Panera. The bagels and flavored cream cheeses are great here (suggestions: Cinnamon Crunch with Hazelnut and Asiago Cheese with Sun-dried Tomatoes). Their paninis are really good too, like the Frontega Chicken. =) They also have soups, salads, and smoothies as well as free wi-fi and outdoor seating. It's really comfortable in here and I've never been disappointed with their service. We wanted to go out for something sweet. So we went to Panera Bread, and was not disappointed. The Chocolate Duet Cookie with Walnuts or the Shortbread Cookie each were perfect. We got our cookies to go. But, I would recommend staying and having a cup coffee or hot chocolate which always goes good with any of there baked goods. They have different types of bread loaves and they will slice them for you. each loaf running from $3-$5 each. They also serve soups, salads, and sandwiches. Which also look good; from what I saw other people eating. But, to me the real treat are their cookies. The place it self is a very nice and comfortable. There's free WIFI and also a big table that would be perfect for a group study or small group meeting. Last time I come to this location! The remodeled menus behind the counter don't have any descriptions or pictures of the items. I was here with a friend, they delivered half his breakfast, I went to the bathroom, they ordered the second half of his and picked up the device associated with my order. I took my son here for a breakfast date to try something new and different for a change. We were pleasant'y surprised by the variety of choices on the menu and the atmosphere. It was a convenient spot for all types of people - like book clubs or hobby groups gathering for coffee, families, alone time for individuals to read, study or work, and more. I believe that they have Wi-fi connection. It reminded me of a Starbucks, but with more room for the guests to sit and more of a restaurant style, but you wouldn't feel out of place hanging out for a while at the same table, because there are no waiters. It is a self-serve counter, where you order and pick up your food. My son loves the bagels - especially blueberry and chocolate chip. I had a fruit salad and cappuccinno, which was tasty as well. They serve lunch and dinner, and have take out upon request. I returned the following week to check out the dinner selection, and was pleasantly pleased with my food and experience. The Asian Chicken salad was delicious and I knew exactly how many calories were in it because all of the caloric content is listed next to each menu item. It was slow to steady, quiet enough to get some work done and not get distracted. The quality of the food was a good value for the price but nothing to come back for. Ended up at this particular Panera cause we ran out of choices and time for dinner before returning our newly graduated airman back to base before the appointed time. I'm a past employee at this location for a couple of years and I can safely say that when our new GM got to this store, everything fell apart. This location is always pretty busy, so I kind of see why they may not be able to keep up with restocking these items. Haven't been to a Panera Bread in forever! This has been the first Panera I've been to ever since I moved to San Antonio. I used to be obsessed with their multigrain baguettes, bagels, blondies, and broccoli cheddar soup while growing up. Walking in they have screens where you can order something fast as well as two registers with people waiting to take your order. The pastry selection had minimized. Maybe it was just this location. I bought cinnamon crunch and cinnamon raisin bagels. Also, grabbed a bundle of mini scones with orange cream, triple berry, and blueberry flavors. The bagels were still delicious! They make sure the flavors come to life and chewy to the bite. Scones are perfectly sized for two bites each and not too dry where you are looking for something to drink with. They have all sorts of little incentives at the register that increase sales and lighten your wallet. If you sign up for their program you swipe for a prize, in this case a strawberry mini cake for a birthday. Yeh. The pick two, 2 half salads, the Cobb was good, and watermelon Feta was tasty. There's a choice of a baguette or chips. This shop is very expensive on a cost per pound basis. It's a temping, non-nutritious and impulse buy scheme. read more

At the end of the mac n cheese there is abit of cheese with the pico - I literally scooped it up like I still had mac in there. Wow, my husband, niece and I walked in to this Panera location at 3:55 on Thursday June 13th 2019 As we approached the counter, I said hello to the man behind the counter (African American-didn't get names, description only) the man did not reply. He simply walked away and went behind a partition and put gloves on and started to work on something else. Two more employees (short, Skinny Caucasian female with messy ponytail and a Caucasian man with bushy hair tucked under cap), walked behind the counter and said nothing, even when I said out loud to my Husband that no one has even acknowledged us. The girl and guy kept going over whatever it was they were talking about and ignored us. My husband was so upset for the lack of any kind of acknowledgement, not even a "we'll be right with you"... nothing, it was unreal. This was my first meal at Panera in over 3 years, due to living overseas. Panera has always had good food, friendly service and a clean facility. Please note the past tense usage. I bought dinner for myself and daughter and we chose the Pick 2 menu with drinks and dessert. Ironically enough, they were out of bread for the soup, so a choice of chips or apple was given. The squash soup was more sweet than savory and had the thickness of kindergarten paste. The broccoli cheddar soup was of similar consistency, however the flavor was as I remembered. Her salad was decent, however the apple given for her side was bruised, wrinkly and had hair on it. My applewood smoked bacon and avacado BLT was 'meh' at best. The bread was stale and dried out, turkey wasn't smoked and tasted like regular roasted poultry with overall flavor lacking. I opened the bag of kettle cooked chips hoping for a crispy crunch. The crunch never materialized and I was sad...much like the entire crew working. My daughters cinnamon roll was dry and stale with the bread looking about 2 days old. My brownie was much better, so we shared. The dining area had dirty tables and dishes that were there when we arrived are still sitting on the same table an hour later. It felt sad walking in here tonight and I am leaving feeling down right depressed. I feel like I spent $27 on 2 lemonades and a brownie, as those were the most edible items we had. Panera bread has never let me down!! They have an assortment of paninis, salads, sandwiches and soups and some delicious sweet treats for that sweet tooth. Panera has always been my healthier go to for "fast food." They have been incorporating fresher ingredients without preservatives and seasonal items. My go to is the salad and soup combo. You get to choose 1/2 salad and soup for about $10 and get to choose an apple or baguette. You can also add in a dessert for $1! The salads are always so fresh here and I always leave feeling full and guilt free! I would say that Panera bread is better than Corner Bakery for the salad and soup combo. read more

A very nice surprise. I ordered the half sandwich with the Fuji Apple salad. The salad portion is a meal unto itself. It is a collection of greens, dried slices of Fuji apples, candied pecans, sliced tomatoes with a light sweet dressing. Geez, how big is the full salad?! My half sandwich is the roast turkey and avocado BLT on white bread. It fell apart rather easily , but is tasty. Our server explained things very well. I spent a lot of time at Panera Bread while I was in grad school, mostly for the quiet and free wi-fi, and after trying nearly all their sandwiches, I never found anything I really loved on the menu. I finally started coming to Panera for breakfast, and people, that is where it's at! The bagels are so good. Regular bagels are $1.05 (no tax if you take it sliced and toasted) and Signature Bagels are $1.39-ish. From Jalapeno Cheddar, Asiago Cheese, the Everything bagel ... I love them all! I like to buy the tub of cream cheese instead of the individual servings because the individuals are too big for one use, and you get more bang for your buck if you buy the tub. Other favorites are their baked goods--amazing sweets and bread to take home--and their caesar salad is one of, if not the best, I have ever had. Be sure to join the Panera Card program, it's free and you really get lots of stuff! They swipe your card every time you eat there, and they tell you right then whether you have a free bagel, pastry, drink, $ off a meal, etc. Panera is hard to beat. read more

Thankfully, I'm sly enough as to have avoided recognition by your bicycled security man. In exchange for your internet, I figured I at least owed you a "Yelp" review, now that I have my own shiny new WiFi. In all seriousness, I like your place. Yeah, I know... you're a chain. Chains and I typically don't get along too well. One of those hipster sentimentalities I picked up in North Carolina, I suppose. Regardless, I'll make an exception, if for nothing else but your free and effective wireless network. Still, I have a sneaking suspicion that I'd be a fan even if WiFi weren't on the menu.
