The only positive is that they are open. I went there to order some food and used their drive thru because of the virus. Ordered their limited menu, left. Less contact - better. There was no one else yet they somehow still got my order wrong. What's worse is they skimped my sandwiches. Turkey BLT with no no turkey or tomatoes. Steak Arugula with no steak or arugula! Went through the drive through today at lunch, ordered 2 lemonades, a mac & cheese and a 1/2 chicken salad which cost $23.25. They handed me the lemonades which weren't even filled up all the way then my bag of food. Came home (I live 10 miles outside of Salinas) only to find out they forgot the salad! I obviously wasn't interested in driving all the way back into town so I just called to see if they could refund my card.... the manager said no I have to drive back to town. I asked if they could just mail me a refund, she kept saying no the only way to do it is to drive back to town. With today's technology you mean to tell me you can't just reverse a credit card transaction! They put zero effort into resolving this problem. Gas is $4 a gallon and I have to drive there and back and your not even going to offer me anything for my time and money spent fixing YOUR mistake! read more

Me and my fiancée went to this Panera through the drive-thru, we ordered a tuscan grilled chicken sandwich with the Spicy Thai Salad and a Caprese Chicken sandwich with the southwest salad as part of the pick 2. Both sandwiches include the tomato confit but they were not on the sandwiches, the person at drive thru didn't inform us that they were out of tomato confit or maybe they forgot to put it when they were making the sandwiches but either way we were missing ingredients on our order. For paying about $26 for both orders we should have at least been notified about missing ingredients. For drinks we got an iced coffee and the Passion Papaya Green Tea, no complaints there, on the contrary I would say the iced coffee is one of the best I've had. The wait time was okay, not bad but not great. They also gave us knives but no forks for our salads, luckily I had some extra forks in my car to use. My fiancée didn't like the Thai salad but that's just a personal preference. We have been to other Panera locations and we love other items in their menu such as the modern caprese (with all the ingredients because a caprese without tomato is like a pb&j sandwich without any jelly), Tuscan grilled chicken sandwich (again with all the ingredients), strawberry poppyseed salad, and many more! This place has lots of potential but it needs improvements. read more

Every single time my friends and family including myself we go they're excuse us that they run out of it and no matter the time. we have place orders early in the morning and we get there in and you get to the surprise that they don't have one of the things. On 11/03/20 I ordered a Greek salad upon getting the menu said cherry tomatoes and my salad had slimy and mushy tomatoes. I took the salad back and I was told that the tomatoes are sliced by a machine and it gets messy. Well in my experience firm ripe tomatoes slice perfectly but overripe mushy tomatoes rip and tear and that's what I got. I ordered delivery, and they totally got my order wrong and the teriyaki bowl was super cold. I sent them an email regarding my incorrect order and a Sylvia Rodriguez emailed me back apologizing for the order. She Said in her email to respond with me email address and she would send me some vouchers. This was back in early mid October and still waiting for a response. This location dose not allow order from table with the app. Al so no drink cups at the tablets for ordering which means you have to wait in line to get your cup after bypassing the line by ordering on the tablets defeating the purpose. And they have been out of items recently. read more

We enjoy Panera wherever they are. When visiting family in Ohio we often take grandkids for a bagel and our grandson who is 5 loves the broccoli cheddar soup as much as we do. For breakfast we get the soufflés which are very good. Lunch time for me is a half salad with a hunk of their delicious bread. read more

Long-time Panera lover. I have never taken the time to write a review before, but felt the need to for this particular Panera location. I am currently in school while working a full-time job, so I often find myself in need of fast but healthy food. (Soups & salads are also my staples in life.) I come to this Salinas Panera about 1-2 times per week. My order has been incorrect almost EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. I have learned to check my order before I drive away. Yesterday I had to honk multiple times to get someone to come to the drive-through window to correct my order. I always order the tomato-cucumber salad as a side, and once received zero cucumber in it. The tomato-cucumber salads are always almost half empty, barely a layer on the bottom of the container; huge rip-off. The last two times I ordered the Greek salad with chicken, there was zero chicken in it. There was also a hair in my salad. There is usually a ridiculous wait in the drive-through, even though there are no customers inside. None of these things will stop me from going there, as I like the food, but they really need to get their ish together. read more

In the past we've really enjoyed Panera's sandwiches. Today I ordered the Napa Almond Chicken Salad and there was lots of lettuce and tomatoes but not much chicken at all! Usually I can only eat half my sandwich...not today. My husband's Mediterranean sandwich was disappointing as well. Two thirds of his sandwich was just lettuce. Bummer! read more

Terrible service experience. I have always considered Panera service as well above average until today. I placed a pick up order at least 30 minutes in advance. Upon arrival at just past the 30-minute pick up time, the order had not even been started. There were only a few customers but a full staff. Had to wait another 15 min. Also annoyed that patrons who arrived after us and placed their order at the cashier had received their meals before us. I won't be going to this Panera ever again. read more

I've been here many times since this location opened. The food is good, but almost every time I've ordered here they have forgotten something in my order. That seems to be a consistent issue with this location. I couldn't find a place to place my order. - Finally, when a girl came to the counter to take my order, she seemed "lost" at what she was doing. - Also, please, I don't want "twenty (20) questions" when I order. - Don't ask my name; it doesn't matter. - Simply take my order, take my money and be done with it. - I got so tired of all the questions, I walked out and to my car. The person to take my order was rude when I asked for a soup he said no soups so I asked for a different soup he proceeded to scolded me "we don't serve soups until 11" when I checked online and it never said anything about what time they serve soups and you can't even order online. I asked for no meat and still added meat, they also gave me a different sandwich that I asked for and I didn't realize till I got home and ate my food. Definitely disappointed with my first visit. The person attending us, barely smiled and did not greet us. I expected this place to have their staff well trained with a outstanding costumer service. I love Panera but this one in Salinas is bad they don't have anything! I order my food and had to wait 1 hour to get it and once I go and get it they tell me they don't have what I order so they just have me a sandwich and didn't have my side bread as well so they just faced me chips! I like to order the artichoke soufflé, they only bake a few around 8:30 am and that is all. I have showed up and they will still sell you the only batch that they bake. The Gilroy Panera will bake you a fresh soufflé upon request. I refuse to eat a soufflé that is cold and has been out for an hour or so. Also, I have civiles them 3 times and they are always out of everything. Will not return till their food and service improves. read more
