I ordered a Margherita flatbread. When I got home and took a bite, it tasted terrible. After looking at it, I realized it was Buffalo sauce, not tomato sauce on the flatbread. I called the cafe number and after the third try the manager answered. She said the bottles of sauce are next to each other and easy to mix up. Get a Label maker! No one could deliver me a new meal. Lazy sandwich makers. This place Always seems to disappoint me. Last time It why is there a famous turkey bravo sandwich which doesn't seem to be very famous anymore because they don't give a shit. They seem to make a sandwich open face and then flip the wrong side on top of each other so one side has all the meat whilst the other side has hardly nothing. This time it was a grilled cheese -a simple grilled cheese. A $7.20 grilled cheese mind you. At that price I expected them to use a few different cheeses maybe even ask what kind of cheese I might like but nope. So, I asked for tomatoes on it - they made the sandwich they put the tomatoes and one slice of cheese on one side and then more cheese on the other side of the bread. Then they cut the bread and they flipped them together they put the two tomato sides together so I had four slices of tomato on one side and all the cheese and the other half. It's ridiculous nobody's paying attention to anything they're doing here. No managers caring about quality products. And they do so much carry-out and advance order and pick- up that you're down the highway before you can complain. They also don't seem to make many sandwiches anymore - if you look at the sandwich board it is down to a handful of sandwiches with more salads and soups, flatbread and breakfast (served only in mornings). The sweet area had nothing in stock after 1pm. As if nobody wants a breakfast sandwich or sweet at lunch. Oh, and I their Panera card is such a joke. We were halfway through our dine in order and who I think was the manager was EXTREMELY rude to us. She told our cashier that she needs to refuse service to us because we weren't wearing a mask. Well for starters, my son is 1.5 so please tell me how he is supposed to wear a mask. I have a health condition where I cannot wear one but I did stand 6 foot away from their plexiglass and worker to be respectful of their wishes even though I couldn't fully comply. I honestly can't believe how rude the manager was and demanded that I put one of their medical masks on that they had. These masks weren't even near the counter and they had to go find the box and kept insisting myself and my son wear one. She wouldn't even let me tell her about a medical condition. I shouldn't HAVE to tell her I have one. Also, every table we tried to sit at was nasty. Absolutely disgusting. Got my son a high chair and it was NASTY. I will not be back to this location due to the pure rude nature of the manager. All of the other workers were extremely kind but to run your store with that kind of attitude? Yeah, no. I love Panera. When I went to UMR/MST in Rolla in 2001-2005, this was a well managed Panera and a great place to eat and go for coffee. In the past few years, it has been awful. Dirty, poor service, and generally disappointing. I think they must have horrible managers. There's a general air of poor work ethic, no initiative, subpar service, etc. Yesterday, my wife and I went in for afternoon coffee. Three dispensers were on the coffee bar. Two were totally unlabeled. One of those two was empty. The one labeled dispenser did not show when it had been fresh. Given my many other bad experiences here in the recent past, we just turned around and walked out without placing an order. We knew we could get hot coffee at Starbucks without a wait. read more

This is my hometown area Panera. I've probably ate here 100 times since it was built in Rolla. Every time I'm on the mainland, especially Missouri, I have to stop at Panera/St. Louis Bread Co. Their breakfast items such as their breakfast sandwiches, my favorite is bacon and egg on jalapeño bagel (when it's offered) or everything bagel. It's so good. I love the cinnamon crunch bagel with cream cheese. For lunch their salads and paninis are my go to lunch. I like how they have remodeled this location since I've been home. We ordered online. The app gave us a 35-40 minute wait time, which was no concern. But once we pulled in, the order was delayed. And so we waited and waited and waited. Finally went in and the woman (assuming manager) behind the counter was, if anything, annoyed by the questions regarding our order. She let us know she was understaffed and wasn't doing pickup orders. Just decided she wasn't going to do them. As if this was something we were suppose to know. No apology. Zero concern that multiple people were in the drive up for orders. Nothing told us in the app that our order was cancelled. In fact it shows it was clearly received. I understand lack of staffing and how overwhelmed they likely are, but you cannot cancel people's orders and not tell them. And more so, then have the audacity to push the blame onto them. My girls love Panera Bread. I personally think it's a little on the pricey side for what they offer. We spent 14$ on half of a sandwich and a small..SMALL...container of Mac and cheese. We were on a road trip and stopped here before hitting the big city. I ordered the chicken and avocado panini hoping I could just eat it in the car. I couldn't..the large hunks of avocados kept falling out onto my lap. I saved it for when I arrived at the hotel. Pulling the bread apart, I wondered where the chicken was. Had it also landed in my lap and then magically disappeared? I couldn't find it in the bag. But hey, the avocado was good. The service at the restaurant was fine and timely. We visited the clean restroom while we waited for our very small portions to be created. Next time I'll go for a cup of coffee and a cinnamon crunch scone.
