Mackenzie is the laziest waitress I have ever seen. She didn't wipe down the table after the couple left , she just removed the dirty dishes. She treated me like she was mad at me for darkening her area. She never checked if I wanted a coffee refill or how I was doing. She did however sit down and eat an entire meal while I was being ignored. I will come back to this establishment but I will never sit where she is covering. Miss Kay wonderful as always. read more

YES! I've been waiting for the opportunity to be in a state that has a Waffle House and today was the day! Only took two years! Let me start with how shockingly clean this location is. WH is notorious for greasy everything and clutter but not this location. Tables were well stocked, nothing was greasy to the touch and even the bathrooms were clean. The staff was beyond friendly and assumed our needs (refills & condiments) without us having to ask. Olivia was our waitress along with a lovely woman in training. They were sweet and engaging with my daughter, attentive to the table and provided amazing service. Even the cook check with us to see how we were enjoying the food. It was definitely an all hands service. The food... The food. For the first time ever (grew up in the south and eating at WH) the bacon was crispy. It was so flavorful with the perfect chewy crunch. The harsh brown were loaded with my favorites and the jalapeños were evenly throughout. The coffee was about the best cup of coffee I've had in a long time. No cream or sugar required. I so wish we had one of these in Washington!! One of the highlights of any trip! I would trade a hundred Denny's for one Waffle House! First of all, they give sooooo much food! Unfortunately, I was so busy enjoying that I forgot to take pics. Of course, there are waffles -- and, boy howdy, they are some tasty vittles! I ordered the walnut waffles. I love that they have the shallow pockets, just like when I was a kid!! I ordered the combo with grits, ham and over medium eggs. Like I said, a TON of food. Oh, yeah -- and a couple pieces of toast for good measure!! But, the waffles are so good, they don't even need syrup. Just a good smathering of butter, and instant yummm! I'm not 100% sure how anyone can knock the Waffle House. No one comes into the Waffle House expecting a 3 star Michelin meal. The food is consistent and it's good. It's not over top GREAT but every time you walk and order you know what to expect and what you'll be getting. Yes some waffle houses are cleaner then others, but that's to be expected. The service is always friendly, and the food always comes out fast. It's Waffle House, not the French Laundry!!! I enjoy coming for its simplicity and consistency. For a Waffle House; this place is above average. Everything was cooked perfectly and was quite good. I had the bacon egg and cheese grilled sandwich on Texas toast and definitely recommend that. Comes with hash browns; So modify them to make yourself happy. I was very impressed with the Decaf coffee and the service. This is definitely the low cost place to hit up when you are in the area. My husband and I came in, and we were greeted by several staff members. We had a server within a minute of sitting down. My decaf coffee was made fresh, and an apology was given for not having some prepared. Although, I was happy to see that I was being given a new pot. I ordered a waffle, hash browns and bacon. I was very specific that I wanted the pig to be overly dead. (I hate wiggly bacon) And, instead of an eye roll or a, "I'll see what we can do", our server replied with, "It's your food, and we'll prepare it however you like!" THAT was a refreshing response! He brought our order out when it was done, and he wasn't lying, my food was made exactly how I asked for it. My husband was very happy with his meal, too. The service and food was so good! I'm surprised no one is leaving reviews here! It's a small bit fast restaurant definitely a great family feel. Not good for large groups since they only have booths and no tables but the staff is incredible! Very kind and always willing to go the extra mile! Food is always served hot and they have really generous portions. I read on here that years ago they used to allow smoking but that's definitely gone now, it's a really great place that has a lot more to offer than just waffles and breakfast items. Probably the worst place we've been for breakfast. But first of all I do want to mention that our waitress was absolutely wonderful! However, the wait on Sunday morning was pretty bad, the food came slow, the menu is confusing. When the food finally made it to us, it was really greasy, had me sick afterward. Our son's kid's waffle was very thin, dry and kind of hard. Wood there isn't crap to do but: A) go to Wal-Mart and hang out in the magazine aisle B) go to one of the few clubs C) go to one of the strip clubs After A or B no one wants to go home and your are usually hungry so you either: A) pick up food from Mickey D's B) Squish as many people possible into a booth at the Waffle House because those are the only two places open. Yes, there are usually fights in the parking lot after the bars close. Either someone is taking someone's girlfriend home or it's Oorah vs. Hooah (Marines vs. Army) who has the bigger fill-in-the blank. However I have some of my best memories here and this place is like White Castle to me. It tastes better when your drunk. However they have specials that make it very affordable to eat here. I won't eat here while the other local cafes are open because they have super cheap and yummy breakfast with usually single moms that need the cash waitressing. While visiting my lil brother at Fort Leonard wood from Cali, decided to grab some breakfast from here despite the reviews. The waitresses were nice and friendly. But the food and drinks were mostly horrible. The oj which was supposed to be minute maid brand was sunny delight at best. Ordered the the 7.50 breakfast special with the strawberry waffles (thought it would be fresh strawberries, not mixed in like eggo), hashbrown, over easy eggs, toast and bacon. The portions were decent but the eggs were still raw throughout (weren't yet over easy) the hash browns were blah, the waffle was ok, the toast was decent, and the bacon was the worst I ever tasted in my life! Bacon was probably old as it looked and tasted old, totally devoid of flavor, and over cooked. Ps beware that this is a smoking restaurant so expect the table right next to you blow 2nd half smoke into your area. Yuck! read more

Some of these reviews are laughable. It's Waffle House, not Denny's, IHOP, or Huddle House. So if you go in expecting some fancy, superb breakfast you're going to be very disappointed. I was turned off about the smoke filled restaurant. Especially if it's some of the employees of the restaurant smoking. They directed me to the non - smoking section, which happened to be 10 feet from the smoking section. There is no physical division between both sides. Kind of like having a peeing section of a swimming pool. We left, because we didn't want the smell of smoke ruining our dinner. I went to this restaurant to get somthing quick to eat. Only 4 table were taken. My friends and I waited 15 minutes before we decided to leave. Worst part of it all there was a guy walking around taking people there drinks and food and was checking on everyone else but not once looked at us and asked us if we have been helped.
