Very cosy local diner along Route 66 in Waynesville, MO. We went for breakfast, which said was only served till 10:45am, and got basic eggs dishes. I got the special two eggs choice of meat hashbrowns and biscuits and gravy. I got the sausage patties for my meat which were delicious. Crispy on the outside but tasty on the inside. The biscuits and gravy were the star of the show though. The biscuits were nice and fluffy and the gravy was very tasty and not lumpy. Highly recommend that. Nice big portion for under $11. Got the two eggs hashbrowns and bacon. She can be picky about the bacon but had nothing but praises for the thick cuts she got. Highly recommend. read more

Excellent food, service and pricing, though they seem a bit understaffed during the main meal times. The only reason this is not a 5 star is the fact that they maintain a rather large smoking section in the back. Now I don't particularly care if they want to cater to that particular clientele, but the setup they have does not sufficiently block the scent of smoke from making its way into the main dining area. Personally this is also not a bother, but if you are sensitive to such smells (as my wife did for several months while pregnant), it can have a significant impact on the entire dining experience. read more

Happy to see another dining alternative open in town. Had lunch with a friend - no waiting but was getting crowded by the time we left. Decor is fun, typical diner style with some Rt. 66 flair. There are two dining rooms - the one in the back permits smoking. They were short staffed but we didn't wait too long and the waitress checked on us a few times. Ordered the Philly Cheesesteak and coleslaw. The cheesesteak was really good - I prefer a harder, or crispier, roll but the soft roll held together and was fine. I liked the coleslaw a lot - not sweet, more vinegar, and a hint of heat - maybe from jalapeños or cayenne (?). My friend had fries and they look like they are hand cut, skin on, fried, and tossed in sea salt. I tried and liked them as well. I hope this place sticks around for awhile. read more

I am sorely disappointed with the new restaurant! We love going and supporting local businesses, but as we walked in a Extremely strong Cigarette smoke smell Greeted us... I look and did not see ash trays on the tables, so I asked the waitress if they allow smoking in their Restaurant, her reply was yes but they are in the back area of the restaurant.....It was obvious that the restaurant caters more towards the smoking clientele and have not invested in a adequate ventilation system.
