Crème brûlée
Nicholas T.

I didn't have great expectations for Carnivores but holy cow it was great. The drinks were awesome and the steaks were a great cut and cooked to perfection. The service was truly amazing and we never really had to wait for any service whatsoever. It was small inside but we never felt like it was small at all. I must say though the crème brûlée was torched at the table, which was an amazing added touch. This is the best steakhouse in the area and worth visiting.

While visiting in St. Robert we heard about this place and decided to take a chance. Good decision. Wide variety of choices on the menu. Entrees are mostly burgers and steaks. Didn't want to take a chance on a steak so went with their carnivore burger - prepared with steak meat so had high expectations. And they were met. Burgers were prepared perfectly. One medium rare, with just a little pink, the other medium, cooked but not dry. I like broccoli and they offered it with garlic, delish. We also ordered fries, but they were a little disappointing (but not bad enough to knock them out of the 4.5 - 5-star range). With this experience I think I'll try a steak next time.

The food was very good!! We had a problem with the orders!! Not only didn't they come out all together, some food was delivered to another table!!! Total confusion!!! Butter & cornbread didn't show up until the meals were finished!!!Asked to buy T~Shirt & had to remind her again to check!!! Was clean with nice decor on walls! Small place!!! Would recommend for the food, but not the service.

Cute little spot. Don't let the strip mall vibe throw you off, this is a really good restaurant. We had dinner while in town for a Fort Leonard Wood ALC graduation. Service was prompt and engaging. We started with drinks and then moved on to dinner. Two of us had ribeye, and one person had New York strip. For the various sides we ended up with asparagus, mac & cheese, honey roasted carrots, salad, and cornbread. All of it was really good. Our meat was perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned, and perfectly tender. A really great steak. The waitress forgot our salad until after dinner came, but she did eventually bring it and apologized. I had one small issue in that I ordered a dirty martini, Tito's, dry. What I received was some kind of martini with citrus and orange peels, with three olives across the top. It was definitely not a dirty martini, and it was definitely not dry. The manager graciously took it off our bill and I switched to wine. It was a tiny blip on the radar and did not detract from our lovely evening at all. The wine I ordered was not in stock, but he brought over a lovely alternative that went perfectly with my meal.

So good we came back twice in one day! I had been disappointed by the food during this trip, but this place def changed my mind. We had a pretty big party and everyone raved about the food. Cocktails, appetizers, and entrees were all delicious. The owner (or manager) came to the table as soon as we were seated and made small talk. The bartender, busboy, and waitresses were all very nice and recognized us when we came back that evening. Considering what everyone ordered, it was probably about a third of the items on the menu, and no one complained. Would def come back a 3rd time.

Ribeye & baked loaded potatoe

While visiting the area we stopped by for lunch, we're from out of town...staff were very friendly and helpful. Restaurant was clean with plenty of seating. Food was prepared as ordered and not a long wait (ribeye & loaded baked potato), plus a salad. Steak had great flavor and really hit the spot. Recommend stopping by if you're in the area.

Was here for dinner right before heading back to the hotel. A reservation was made to make sure we had a seat. Once we got there, our door was opened by who we assume was the owner or manager. He explained that there were a lot of activities going on in the city so it wasn't as crowded. No biggie...better for us, lol! We were seated and ordered. My boo had wings and I had the beef brisket. The food was really good and the atmosphere was really nice. Our waitress got missing a few times so we had to rely on another waitress but we got what we needed. I would definitely return here!

My ticket

Long story short: this place is dishonest and has bad food I took a chance on this place despite the steaks in the photos not looking great because I really wanted a steak and this place is right off-post. It ended up being the worst steakhouse I've ever eaten at. It was breakfast and I ordered the sirloin (priced at $22 on the menu). They brought me out the worst looking ribeye you've ever seen, and I asked my server if that was their sirloin (their ribeye is $36). She told me yes, it was. I could only eat about two thirds of it because it was such a poor quality cut of beef, then asked for my check. When they brought it, they wanted to charge me for the ribeye. I pushed back and told my server that I had clarified twice whether it was their sirloin, and she agreed this was the case but blamed it on their system. She then said they fixed it and gave me the new price but didn't want to print out a bill for me to see. It still seemed high in my mind so I asked her to print it, and I discovered that they added a random menu item for $3 to try to get back a little bit of the money they were missing out on after having input and cooked the wrong meal. I paid it because it's only a few bucks but it left me feeling cheated. The server or the cook or someone made a mistake, tried to hide behind it being a systems issue, didn't even want to recognize it and just assumed I'd be fine paying whatever. I think that on top of the food being bad, this is quite a dishonest company. It seems like with their tacky decor, menu names, etc. they're just trying to capitalize on their proximity to FLW and assuming that service members will eat whatever slop is put in front of them. Also, their default tip is 25% which is just laughable. Avoid this place.

Smoked brisket, Cole slaw , street corn.

Arrived on Friday at 6:00pm and fortunately seated immediately. Guess we were the early crowd because when we left the place was almost full. Friday' special was the smoked brisket and $5 Margaritas. Margaritas were excellent! The brisket was a bit dry and cut a bit thick. Cole slaw was a bit watery. Street corn had a bit of a kick but very good. The 2 sides were a bit skimpy in my opinion. Over all experience was quite good.

Went here for dinner with some friends while being at Fort Leonard Wood for a school. Definitely one of the best finds for dining off base. The owner is retired Army and takes a lot of pride in talking to the customers and making sure everyone is taken care of. The food was great and so were the drinks. I would definitely come back here while on the remainder of my trip. It's a smaller place where you can actually hear the people you're with. They have a fully stocked bar and variety of options on their menu.

Actually love this place Food and Service are always great...I'm slowly making my way through the menu and so far I haven't been disappointed...the Deco is a cool vibe the owners have made a lot of great design updates that are sopt on for a small space..

Tri-Tip sandwich with potato salad.

Meat lovers paradise with some solid sides like potato salad and Texas Toast. I did have a bit of a frustrating experience though as I really wanted to try the Gladiator Breakfast which included Tri-Tip. Now it was Mother's Day and I was crowed but we were part of their first customers and they were out of Tri-Tip? Do i ordered the Eggs Benedict with sausage or cornbread. Wife had the Steak and Eggs. First they brought out my son's dish, French toast with bacon, way before our two plates. They forgot to bring the syrup. So he was basically done by the time we got our dishes. Mine was gold, tasted great but it was cold like it had been sitting around for a bit. My wife enjoyed her steak and eggs which our waitress showed her how much cheaper it was to order that instead of just a sirloin with a side of potato salad. But no steak knife. It took us awhile to get someone's attention. It's a nice place so we'll be back but maybe it will be when they're less crowded so the staff won't have as many distractions.

That was…read morethe case at Colton's Steak House, where we were seated almost the second we walked in--no waiting, no table shuffle, and the booth was already clean enough to pass muster with the pickiest mother‑in‑law. Before I could even get my glasses out of the case, our waitress--who also doubled as the bartender--was standing by, ready to take the order. Lucky for her, we already knew what we wanted. Drinks landed fast, followed by salads with the right dressing (a small victory in this world), and the steaks showed up before I'd even made a dent in the seat cushion. Mine came out just right--good sear, the right touch of smoke--and that baked potato was the soft, fluffy sort that needs nothing but a little butter and guilt. Our server managed that perfect balance: always nearby when we needed something, never hovering like a drone at dinner. All told, Colton's makes it easy to sit back, enjoy a properly cooked steak, and feel like you're being taken care of by folks who actually enjoy what they do. I'll be back.

Although we didn't receive any bread, it was still a great experience. I ordered the Montana burger with pepper jack cheese. Normally, I'm not a fan of pickles, but these were so good!
