So I called a man answered. (The owner). I tried to explain the situation to him and he was very rude. He interrupted me before I could even finish what the issue was with the food, to tell me he was not going to give us a refund. "That we ordered a to-go order and that's what fast food is." We paid $50. Just like any other sit down, paying customer would for their food, only to get poor quality food, very poor customer service and a very RUDE owner. The owner told us to bring all the food back. We arrived at the restaurant after closing time 9pm. The owner said "if the food looks good to me, i'm not going to give you a refund." Mind you me and my husband had maybe 4 bites of the food on each entree to try it as we have NEVER been to the restaurant before. He said "It looks good to me. What do you want? Do you want money?" I said no. I'd like better customer service but since you offered that would be very nice of you. The owner gave me $20 from his wallet and then tried to take all of the food that we purchased. The dining area was clean with a nice stamped concrete floor, had loads of natural light with huge windows in the back, and it had a beautiful New Orleans mural in the back. We wished for a bigger dish for the small cups of gumbo and red beans and rice because they were so good! I'm sure they'd come a bit more seasoned or spicer in the south, but in MO, they seemed to tame it down a bit - still delicious though!
