I decided to get some takeout from Lucky House. The exterior of the building is not impressive by any means, if it wasn't for the open sign out front I would have assumed it was closed. I used the drive through option. I got a variety of food from the vast menu. I got the Orange chicken, sweet & sour chicken, cashew chicken, bulgogi, pork egg rolls, and rangoons. All of the food was smothered in sauce to the point the chicken was soggy, this could be from sitting in the bag until we got home (15min drive). But the Pork Egg rolls and rangoons were delicious. The breaded chicken had no crunch, was soggy and the meat itself was a bit dry. The fried rice was standard, good tasting. The food came out fast. 10 minutes for everything and the workers were straight to the point, nice, and fast. Overall not a bad quick pickup for a lot of food for a very reasonable price. We love Lucky House! The food is always hot and fresh, yet prepared lightening fast. The restaurant itself may not seem the cleanest, but that could be due to age and wear. I prefer the drive through, mostly due to the tiny booths and the sticky floors. The service is great at times but slow at others- another benefit of the fast paced drive through. We swapped the egg roll the meals are supposed to come with for crab Rangoon. The orange chicken was crisp, the sauce was sweet with just a touch of spice. This is my daughter's favorite! I ordered the salt and pepper squid and it was easily the best dish I have had here yet! The squid was chewy with a very light crispy breading. It didn't seem to have five spice as I've traditionally found on this dish, but it was still great! I'd highly recommend it. read more

As our time in Saint Roberts came to an end, we ordered Chinese food to finish out the week. I called them to inquire about how the ordering worked - could we order and come in to pick it up, etc due to Covid-19, was told to order over the phone, come to drive-thru to pick it up. We ordered the following: - large egg drop soup - large hot and sour soup - large Mongolian beef combo - large garlic chicken combo - pork egg fu young - large kang pao chicken combo All came with fried rice and crab rangoon. Was told the food would be ready in 20 minutes. We pulled up to the drive-through, gave them our ph# and paid. The lady told us to pull up by the door to pick up the food. The lady came out the door, left the food on the table and walked away. Their food was decent and it hit the spot. Some of their dishes were bit odd in terms of how it was cooked, but I guess it comes down to the cook that's making the food. For example - Mongolian beef - their version is more of beef stirfry with tons of veggies and drained in sauce. Typical Mongolian beef has very little or no sauce and few veggies, typically just sliced onions. Same with their Kang Pao Chicken; it was literally the same as the garlic chicken but with peanuts added. read more

Best Christmas dinner ever! Online ordering system was easy and allowed remarks for substitutions. Food was ready when we arrived. It was a large order that was well-packaged so it was easy to transport without tipping over or sliding around. Good small Chinese restaurant hidden from plain view, so you need to google location. I ordered my food before heading there but they use a drivetru so I guess you could drive up. Their seating area appears to be closed, so take out is all you'll be getting. They break up the plates from small to large. If you have a normal appetite get the small, mine were stuffed! I got the Mongolian Beef that comes with fried rice and a fried crab wonton. Very tasty, stuffed with beef and as a plus, the crab wonton was crispy and very tasty. well i have never really come across bad chinese food restaurants so far and this one wasn't bad too. I ordered steamed dumplings, these were tasty, chicken wings basically cut up chickens were very crunchy and i tasted some curry powder and were good. However Moo Goo Gai Pan was a bit salty for my liking and the fried rice came with was also salty for me. I recommend you to get White rice if you are ordering Moo Goo Gai Pan. The thing is it's very old and doesn't look so clean no matter how clean the place is. I ordered drive thru, the man was nice and I had to wait about 10 mins but I did not mind coz it's busy and I understood. The building is very unappealing, however food was ok. Was kinda hesitant to go here but I'm glad I did! Friendly service, good food, and fair prices. I was shocked how efficient the drive thru was! What I received was a massive portion of overly FLOUR fried, burnt "pork". It was BROWN in the middle and so crispy and dry that it shredded apart. It was also putting off an acrid smell My egg roll was ALSO burnt. The rice was hard and disgustingly fried and drowned in soy sauce...If I could give 0 stars, I would. Put fried food with rice which made it soggy and poured sweet and sour over disgustingly fried pork making the breading soggy instead of putting sauce in a separate container- they didn't even coat all of the pork either, only half had sauce. Bulgogi was disgusting slimy squeaky beef in some sort of bland gravy and what seems to be steamed onion, meaning even the onion didn't have flavor. Soup is the consistency of half set jello. Heard about this place at work, and I now regret giving it a try. Ordered sesame chicken with pork fried rice. The first plate I got was drowned in sauce and looke good at a glance. My first bite from chicken tasted like rubber. I looked down and found hair in my food as well. Notified waitress who was kind about the issue and promptly brought me another plate. Both plates took about 3 minutes to appear which led me to believe the grill back there is actually a microwave. The new plate: the chicken was fried chicken (not regular cooked but it looked like KFC poppers if anyone remembers them) drenched in sauce and sprinkled here and there with only a few sesame seeds. Rice was in a pool of sauce. Again some of the chicken felt like rubber and some of it was even COLD! At the end i was still charged for my full plate rather than how most restaurants would compensate for the mistake. Would I do it again? F NO. The food is always freshly made, nice drive-thru service, and their sesame chicken is amazing! The biggest thing I would recommend is a restaurant remodel. One night I had a hankering for Chinese food...and a friend recommended this place. I got two entrees to try: happy family and general chicken. The crab rangoons the entrees come with are decent, but that's about it. The general chicken was supposed to be spicy, but it was just kinda sweet and dry (not much sauce). The chicken itself was good. The happy family was a combo of shrimp and other meats and some veggies. Everything was the same color and very very bland. This place needs a face lift on the outside and inside but the food is good. Their pad Thai is really good as are most of the dishes they prepare. Favorites are the pad Thai and the cashew chicken with the sauce on the side to keep the chicken from getting soggy. Ordered food for delivery and was told 30-45 minutes. Called after over an hour and was told our order was out for delivery. Called again after 2 hours of waiting and the manager got on the phone and said we had our food and we were playing a joke. What?!? The delivery guy delivered it to the wrong address, did NOT verify the name or house number, and the manager refused to give us our money back. They told us to go to neighbors houses and ask for our food. Are you kidding me?! This was our first experience ordering in from Lucky House and we will NEVER eat there again.
