We called panera ahead of time to see if they had baguettes ready and prayed, the women on the phone claimed they had baguettes going into the oven and would take about 12 minutes. JOKES ON US for believing that, when we pulled up to the drive through they said we have no baguettes ready, they haven't even gone in the oven yet. Stopped in, preordered, and paid last night for baker's dz with pickup this am @ 6. Arrived a little after 6, and their staff acted like they just crawled out of bed. (Mgr has to be asleep at the wheel?) With only 1 person in front of us, it's now 06:22 and 2 other patrons coming in after us, using the kiosk, were served! I asked one of the servers who was doing, IDK what..., to speak to the mgr, which she replied, I'll get her and continued to putz? I waited patiently for server to seek mgr, but unfortunately she opted for me to raise my voice for all to hear, in another attempt to seek assistance. (At this point, I am a tad upset with the lackadaisical attitude of the server). The entire staff and the Mgr now knew they had an upset patron. I politely addressed the mgr, who listen to my assessment of poor service and she apologized. Mgr assisted feeble staff in completing our order, (which was still hanging on the board- which one staff said, "oops we missed it!"). Left @ 06:35 with bag consisting of: a baker's dz, 1 knife, two cream cheeses, and no napkins for our road trip. Yes, we should have checked for the basics b4 departing, but we were upset, 30 min late in leaving, and just wanted out of there. Would you have thought the boss lady checked our order? I'm writing this review on the road, and it may have been a bit nicer, had the mgr offered us % off for their incompetence, a coupon, another plastic knife or even threw in at least 1 napkin as I fumble with these blasted things. The Mrs even asked them for additional knives and napkins. Guess they missed that too? I departed and told them to look for my review, which the mgr related, we'll look fwd to it. So boss lady...the place needs a wake up call and help! Recommend passing them by and hitting a vending machine instead. I come to this location often mainly for the free drinks. I am low income so I rarely get to buy food outside of home. well today I had $5 to get a breakfast and I wanted to try Panera. Not to be mistaken with Panorama, which is the view in my bedroom when I remove my underwear. This is the part of the world which gave the gift of Panera to the rest of us. Not much of a gift. Bland food lands drinks free water and free WiFi. That's about it. I'm not sure why people like the salads from here. I've had good salads and these are not them. I once loved this place and now I hate it. I went through the drive thru to place my order which was not really a long line but the wait was extremely long today for whatever reason. As I'm placing my order I am being THOROUGH as I possibly can because under NO CIRCUMSTANCES am I able to eat pork which is why I SPECIFICALLY asked for a Roasted turkey avocado sandwich with NO BACON. After waiting 20 minutes, I finally to get to the window to get my order checked the bag everything "appeared" to be good okay great let's go. I get home and surprise surprise there is bacon on my sandwich I checked the receipt she got it correct on the receipt & WRONG AS HELL IN REAL LIFE!!!!!! Very disappointed. We frequent a Panera closer to home that is great. However, this one leaves much to be desired. They were out of items on the menu, failed to include everything in our bag, and the guy at the drive up window acted like he didn't care. I think they put our $5 smoothie in the smallest cup they could find. I honestly haven't seen a cup that small at Panera before. My salad didn't have the ingredients that it usually does. I normally wouldn't write a review about a common franchise but this location does deserve some credit. I've had a couple of orders that were either something was missing or the order sat in the pickup area as opposed to being curbside delivered but they always managed to make it right. Brittney and Tiffany really do care about making sure the customer is taken cared of. The other associates were also kind and apologetic which takes maturity and professionalism. Things go wrong, but what gets done to make it right? This location does what other restaurants fail to do, and it's why I still keep coming back. read more

I really really want to like this place considering they have a coffee subscription which I would and could conveniently use everyday but they can never get my order correct. Here is a perfect example of my iced coffee I asked for. First, I was given a hot coffee...I told them sorry but I asked for a cold one. After waiting I finally got the iced coffee (I asked for a LITTLE cream and sugar) and was given basically a cup of half and half and a ton of sugar on the bottom. Another time, I paid extra on top of my coffee subscription to get Madagascar Vanilla and sugar and received practically black coffee. I literally cannot win in the coffee department. Today I ordered a blueberry bagel through the app to pickup in an hour and when I went to get it, it was not there. When I asked where it was I was told there were no more blueberry bagels left even though the app let me order. They had a dozen go out. Apparently, the app doesn't sync with the restaurant?? What this really makes me think is my one bagel was given away with a larger order even though I already paid for it an hour earlier. The manager was pleasant and told me to mention her name for a free bagel next time but I have a feeling it will be a confusing situation trying to get my free bagel on my next visit since the employees, unfortunately cannot seem to get orders right and I was not given a voucher or anything. I come here for the green tea and that's about it. Today, i realized it doesn't seize to amaze me about how horrible this location is. Everything seemed to be out of stock. Almost all their speciality teas were out of stock, the entire pastry bar was out of stock, and the turkey for some of their sandwiches. Amanda rung us up. She was kind but seemed to be unsure with some of the questions. She stated that the roasted turkey was out of stock and they only deli turkey. Well, when she submitted the order, it seemed as though it was ROASTED turkey in stock and deli turkey out of stock. Well, i changed my entire order because there was no roasted turkey. As we sat at our table waiting for our food, we can hear the girls scrabbling in the back for what is needed for the orders. There was no bacon, which again, we ordered a BLT also. They also kept yelling for a running which seemed to slow down the process of orders. Amanda has brought us a bagel in the process of writing this review. I have been a customer of Panera Bread for 20+ years. It was St. Louis Bread Company then. I was ready to make my order for delivery and when I called I was told they didn't deliver to my address. We're a mile and a half away. If they don't deliver food, why is it advertised. The sense I got was that, if you want food come in if not go to Macdonald's. Don't bother going to this location. The Service is absolutely dreadful. I have been here probably five or six times in the past month before work and they (maybe) got my order right twice. The first time I went, I had ordered and paid for a whole sandwich. They only brought me out a half, and then got snippy with me when I asked if they would bring out the other half of the sandwich that I had paid for. They did begrudgingly. Another time I went through the drive-through and they had left my card in the chip holder after giving me my sandwich. I knocked on the window as the person at the drive-through had walked away. She looked at me and rolled her eyes and kept walking. I just open the drive through window myself and grabbed my card and left. Most recently I went and usually get the chipotle chicken avocado melt. After waiting 20 minutes in the rapid pick up spot, I went inside to see what was going on with my order. I even checked my order to make sure I selected that they bring it out to my car in case I was in the wrong. I had ordered it right. At first they couldn't find my order, but it turned out that someone had made it and placed in the inside pick up area. Then they tell me that they were out of both the avocados and the chipotle sauce so they literally threw some chicken on to some bread and called it good. Today, I ate at Panera Bread. The food was delicious! I ate the Chicken Chipotle Avocado Sandwich and the broccoli and cheddar soup. Both were delicious and we were able to eat outside which made me feel most comfortable. Every1 seemed to be cautious with their sanitation practices, but I wished they offered to go utensils. Also, a customer outside approached my group trying to give away their leftovers which I thought showed a lack of awareness. The food was sealed but I still didn't want to be approached by anyone I didn't know. The prices are a little more expensive than most fast food locations but the quality of food is higher as well. I was passing through to Indianapolis and was excited I could get Panera, since I've been driving through the middle of no where all day. But this was a piss poor excuse for food in general! My girlfriend's bacon turkey bravo had ONE piece of sliced cold cut turkey. The bread wasn't cooked all of the way through and was tiny, doughy, and terrible. My tomato soup, which I absolutely love, was disheartening. I literally have never used the yelp app nor did I ever intend to, but this Panera Bread changed that. I downloaded this app to voice just how HORRIBLE this Panera Bread's food was. I hope they completely re-train the staff and fire the whole management team and find some people who can uphold the quality that Panera Bread is known for. Worst Panera Bread we've ever been to! Stopped for the night and decided to take advantage of the great reviews posted here and on yelp. Boy what a disappointment. Upon sitting down waiting for our food the floors were dirty, tables dirty and seats dirty. Had to ask someone to clean the seats off. She did but left them soaking wet. Guess she thought it would be okay to air dry. Once we got our food, I the silverware were filthy. After asking for more, the manager had to wash some.
