I have been to this Panera numerous times and have had pretty basic service. There were times that my order was prepared wrong, but this happens everywhere sometimes right? Well, today was the last straw. Let me first say that I am a Panera rewards member and usually order through the mobile app. I subscribed to the Sip Club in which I could get coffee for no additional charge. Syrups are additional though. Today, I placed a mobile order for a pastry ring (serves 12), a birthday reward bear claw, and a coffee (+ 1 vanilla pump and 1 caramel pump for a fee) that is supposed to be covered by my "Sip Club" membership. When I got to the drive-thru and gave my name, the woman said "we don't have your pastry ring, but " .....(inaudible conversation with a third person) just drive up please". When I got to the drive-thru window she attempted to hand me my coffee with a bag of cream and sugar. I told her "I don't need that, did you add my caramel and vanilla pumps?" she said, "let me ask my manager". She asked her manager and then told me that the manager had added the pumps to my coffee. Then she told me that they didn't have the pastry rings anymore at their store but that she just gave me individual pastries. She handed me a box with 4 pastries plus a birthday reward bear claw that I had redeemed. I contested saying that In the ring, I would have gotten 12 servings. She then said, "my manager said that she put enough for the same price." Not wanting to go back and forth, I took my amended order and drove away. I took the stopper out of my coffee and took a sip, and guess what? No Vanilla or caramel syrup, just plain coffee, and almond milk. I am writing this review because when a company doesn't have what we order, they should tell us. On top of amending my order, I was given a coffee that wasn't made how I ordered it. Furthermore, the manager never came to me and spoke directly. This Panera got away with the money from my missing vanilla and caramel pumps and gave me less pastry than I ordered. I went home and canceled my Sip Club membership because the coffee wasn't great as it was, to mess up my order just made me more disappointed. They don't deserve my subscription or my business any further. read more

This branch will have more business if they have a better services and a friendly cashier. Maybe she had to get up too early and not happy to come to work today. Restaurant is a service business. If you are not happy to answer question or deal with kids, you should be in the kitchen. I am a fan of green goddess salad and several sandwiches. The smoothie is delicious but I had it yesterday and then in the middle of the night I woke up with bad pain in my abdomen and vomited several times and the smoothie came up. I wasn't well enough to work the next morning which is unfortunate; especially since I really needed the extra money this week. I can't say it was the smoothie for sure but nothing else had changed in my diet and I wasn't around anyone that seemed sick. I am now hesitant about frequenting panera. At one panera on east coast a couple Months ago ; I saw a mouse near garbage bin near door so I hope this isn't an issue at other panera branches. I have a sensitive stomach. I wish panera was more economical cost too, compared to other sandwich shops. read more

Always a great place for a quick healthy meal. A good variety of sandwiches and soups. The bread is always fresh and crusty, just the way I like it! The reason for the 4 stars is that the Pinole restaurant is a bit small and they don't bring your order to you. You need to pick it up from the counter. read more

Ahh, due to many recent bad reviews, figured I'll leave a good review after having a delicious potato soup & half sandwich. Because of their healthy menu this is one of my favorite places I love to come to. I remember the quality of food this place served when they first opened here in Pinole, also remember the quality of food I just ate from this place, and can say that till this day I haven't had a bad experience. Food quality has always been at its freshest and delicious best. Staff and service is always friendly, although once in a while you'll run into a staff member not at their best, but who am I to judge that, we all have tough days once in a while. Their app food ordering is flawless and food usually ready upon arrival at rapid shelf. read more

I don't go here often. There is one nearby - but it's in an inconvenient location. I received a $10 GC and decided to pick something up to bring to the office. I ordered a full size salad, a cup of soup, and two cookies. I ended paying another $20 on top of my GC. As I waited - there was a woman who came top pick up her bagged order and said "let me check to see what they forgot." I thought it was very Karen of her. She comes back and says "there's a sandwich missing." The worker behind the counter just hands her a sandwich. By the time I get around to eating my lunch - I find that instead of a full size salad ($15!) there is a tiny Caesar. I snap a picture of it and keep my receipt. A few days later I go back and explain and even though the receipt states exactly what I ordered and the total - the cashier says "it may say Asian salad but maybe you only paid for a half and half." Uh ok. She looks up the receipt and sees exactly what I ordered and what I paid for. I just asked for a replacement salad. My daughter asked for a half and half, 2 cookies, and I get a cup of soup. This time our total was $35. The replacement salad had romaine, chicken, and wonton strips. Not worth $15. They cookies are $4.75 each. I do enjoy the soups - but very expensive for what you get. I was out shopping when I suddenly had a craving for Panera Bread's savory soups. When I walked in, the energy was great, employees friendly. I was helped by Destiny, who was very informational about your menu. She suggested I try your turkey chilli soup, and it was very delicious. So, thanks to Destiny for her fine taste in foods. She has a great smile, and Panera Bread is lucky to have her! P.S. Your dark roast coffee hit the spot! You were out of creamer, and once again, Destiny saved the day, bringing out a full pour of cream. Much appreciated! read more

I travel a lot for work and Panera is one of my go-to places to get food anywhere I go. This particular Panera is the closest one to my house and, unfortunately, I hate it. NONE of their food looks or taste like it does at any of the other Panera, and not it a good way. I've tried many of the foods here and I haven't liked them, but I'm only going to point out the toasted frontega panini: it's never warm enough, so forget about "toasted". The cheese is never melted, it's just a chunk in the middle of the panini. Also, I was not aware that separate Panera's were allowed to choose different bread choices for their sandwiches, because theirs is always a dark wheat one when all the other Panera's have a lite white one. This is the worst Panera I have been to on terms of Customer Service and food prep. Staff was rude and lazy; sorry I pre-tipped. I won't go here again unless severely pressed because of time. Go observe other location and learn how a patron experience should go. Food is served to you if you eat in at other locations, not picked up at the counter and getting rudely told to turn off the vibrating call piece (hire more staff). So I ordered a soup and went to area to wait. It took them 20min before i went and asked about soup. The black woman with dreads was so rude she tells me i have two larger orders before yours. I have a soup that is already cooked sitting in a warmer and she tells her coworker always go in order as she seemed irritated to get my soup. I would have refunded my 8$ soup if i had been alone and not with someone. I know this i will never ever be back here at all and will share this rude experience with everyone i know!!! read more

This location is the least successful one I've been to. There are too few employees and their service is VERY slow, you'll wait a long time for your food. Kind of sad because Panera is one of my favorite places to get breakfast, but we'll definitely not stop at this one again anytime soon. read more

You be the judge, look at my grill cheese sandwich and my modern Greek salad. The quinoa in the salad is still frozen! The sandwich, so burnt it had no flavor. This location is actually quite nice. It is in its own little plaza shared with well's fargo, however often times parking can be a little crowded. I normally order the bacon turkey bravo and have found this location's quality to be notably better than other panera breads that i've visited. Like with any panera bread the prices are actually not what I would consider cheap for what they give you, but it is fair and not so expensive to deter people away. I tried the double fudge brownie as a $1 add on item to any meal, and thought it was way too sweet. unless you have a serious sweet tooth, i recommend trying something else. My mom sometimes buys bread from this place, it is very good. read more

Brought the family to have breakfast we get here and order there isn't no coffee available, received the wrong order and to top it off they were the ones frustrated. Over experience horrible won't be coming back here again. They need to work on customer service and the manager Wendy was making a smart remark because my wife didn't want bacon she wanted ham and Wendy stated "well isn't it the same thing" with an attitude. Picked up a online order and the quinoa Greek salad is missing the quinoa. The large salads are in split containers that contain half of a half. Really bad presentation and not accurate to my order. Called Pinole Mgr but the phone keeps ringing, the message does say it's they are busy during lunch hour. But now I must make a second trip to return this order as it looks skimpy and cheap and not what I ordered. read more

The one restaurant that managed to screw up our orders every single time. Prior orders were later than promised available time from online ordering. One time a large order was completely not made until we went to pick it up and had to wait for 30-40 mins. And today a sandwich was missing from the order. How bad can order management be? The portion sizes are absolutely pitiful!. They were out of cheddar for my sandwich. The mac n cheese (which is made with white cheddar) is outstanding, the steak and cheese sandwich was pretty good. But I would not come back due to the portion size. I usually frequent the Panera in Emeryville, and their locations are very clean, tidy and the staff is polite. I visited the Panera in Pinole for the first time, and this location is a complete disaster; their tables are disgusting, dirty dishes are left everywhere to the point that you don't want to sit anywhere, the staff is rude, and the food is mediocre. Definitely not stepping foot here anymore... they need to clear out the entire space and try again with a different restaurant. read more

What can I say! The food was nasty! The dining room was dirty! The only good thing was the iced tea!

My friend and I went to lunch here. I had the chicken salad sandwich with the broccoli cheddar soup. She had the strawberry chicken salad. About 4 hrs later we both had pain in our stomach that was extreme and lasted about 4 + hrs. I think it had something to do with This Panera Restaurant. The ice/drink machine was not working. The sodas,etc. and water were lukewarm. It seemed the last time we were there the machine had no ice! ? Could it be broke and something we drank or ate?? We were in pain. Better today!! The restaurant doesn't look very well kept and our food took very long. We don't live together and we both got sick after eating here. read more

The staff here is beyond ridiculously rude and continue to roll their eyes as people are deciding what to order. We showed up at 10:45 trying to get a second breakfast for our two year old who having a meltdown because he wanted "an egg sandwich" this place is right off the freeway and normally Panera has quick service, but it took over 17 minutes for the cashier to take two orders in front of us and then we were told at 11:02 "We stopped serving breakfast at 11." I pointed out the only reason we didn't order before 11 was that they couldn't manage to take our order in a timely fashion. We left and went to Starbucks the next exit down. I was a little put off by all of the negative reviews for this location but I was pleasantly surprised. They greeted us as soon as we came in. I asked the cashier what she recommends for salads, and she gave me their Top 3: Southwest Chile Lime Ranch, Fuji Apple, and Spicy Thai Salad. I chose the Fuji Apple salad with chicken. I did the "pick 2" combination and got half a Turkey & Avocado BLT. The salad and dressing were great as was the sandwich. I also got their passion papaya green tea, which was tasty and a chocolate chip cookie for 99c. I wasn't disappointed. The service was friendly and the food was pretty good. read more

i was at david's bridal trying on gowns and realized i hadn't eaten so came here since it's nearby. not sure why it has such bad reviews because everyone was very sweet. i had ordered pickup and had gotten a text nearly a minute later saying it was ready. which i figured was a mistake because it was so quick but i head in as i was literally just in my car waiting anyways. i explained to the ladies at the register what happened and they went to check and said it was a mistake but that my food was being bagged up! she also gave me a beverage cup while i waited. honestly such great customer service! i'm sorry i didn't ask for names but i appreciate the friendliness! read more

This was just a giant jumble of issues. I am beyond irritated with this whole visit. I stopped in after deciding I really wanted the steak and blue salad. It's my favorite thing to get at Panera Bread. HOWEVER, after I ordered my food to go it took about 25 minutes for us to get the food. I ordered two steak salads, a bear claw, and a chi tea latte. After sitting for about twenty minutes I heard the manager ask the team, how are we doing team? I responded, rudely, with terrible. She looked up at me and I said it's been about 22 minutes, she seemed concerned but the first thing she did was attempt to correct me by saying it got rung in at 7:15. I told her my ticket showed 7:07 and she simply replied "oh". Without really talking to me she took my ticket and went to refund me for the salads. Honestly, I'm only human and of course giving me some free food is going to make me happier. I was satisfied with an apology and a refund. Then.... i got home. The only two things I was still charged for were the latte and the bear claw but the bear claw wasn't even in the bag! =( In addition to that my salad didn't have dressing it in so my boyfriend had to share his with me which means we both didn't have enough dressing. I would have gone back for my bear claw but I live in el cerrito and the drive just isn't worth the bear claw. I probably wouldn't have been as irritated if someone would have just stopped and let me know my order was taking longer than expected and apologized. read more
